That "road less traveled" hasn't been working too well for them, for quite some time now.
"Cmon now you and me both know 500gb is trash and needs to also be upgraded to a bigger storage capacity. I have a 2 tb in my pro and its still not enough storage."
So if 500gb is "trash", then what is 32gb? A complete idiotic joke? Hypocrisy at its best.
"You still also have to pay for ps+ if you want online out of the box cause that 2 day ps+ trial aint worth shit."
You're going to have to pay for Nin...
Not likely. You can call Nintendo and beg them to restore your games, but without the old console in hand, there are no guarantees that Nintendo will do it. And VC games may not work on the Switch anyway, Nintendo is very slow to port them over.
$400-440 for a Switch (including a memory card and game) is way too much, especially with the tiny amount of games releasing this year. It seems like the Switch will follow in the footsteps of the Wii U in many ways (less power and higher price than the competition, poor 3rd party support, missing features, etc.)
Oh I'll wait alright. I'm ready to buy a Switch once it hits the bargain bin for $99 or less.
PS4 and XB1 both come with internal 500gb hard drives, so no you don't need extra storage at purchase. They also both come with games. $250-300 gets you all that, whereas with the Switch you have to pay extra.
32gb is a very small amount of storage, way too little for modern games. Stop making excuses and just admit that the Switch and it's accessories are way overpriced.
I was thinking of the docked power, when the Switch has a boost in capabilities due to being plugged in. I agree that in terms of portability, it seems OK, and there is certainly a tradeoff between power and battery life. But when docked, it should be able to deliver 1080p games if they are less demanding.
Switch console: $300 (no game)
Memory card (128gb-256gb): $40-80
Game: $60
Total cost: $400-440. Way too much money for a system that can't even remotely match the OG PS4 or XB1 (not to mention the Pro or Scorpio). And the launch lineup is very thin, with very little else coming for the remainder of the year. Not looking good for Nintendo right now.
Apparently the Switch is not as powerful as hoped, when a simple cartoony styled game can't even hit 1080p when docked. Why didn't Nintendo put more power into the console? What a shame.
So what happened to 2017? As of now it's looking pretty slim.
Very doubtful, based on the high cost of the system and peripherals. Way too expensive.
"Why I’m (Begrudgingly) Buying 2 Nintendo Switch Consoles" - Because you're buying into the phony scarcity issues that Nintendo creates with every new product they release to manipulate gullible gamers, and the ridiculous prices for the accessories. Nothing more than that.
The high price of the Switch and its accessories can be explained by one single word: greed. Nintendo is always trying to extract the maximum possible profits from its products, while only delivering the bare minimum specs and features (or even less). They are a very greedy company that cares only about their bottom line, not about their loyal fans. Everyone should boycott the system and accessories until Nintendo lowers the price to a much more reasonable level. The prices they are asking f...
Can't believe Nintendo is actually greedy enough to try to charge money for this gimmicky stuff. Really embarrassing how low they've sunk these days.
I bet you said that the Wii U "will be fine" too, back when it was bombing hard. Didn't turn out that way, did it?
Excuses, excuses. Always the same from you.
Lol. Don't forget this one too:

Not something to brag about, the Wii died years before its competition and damaged Nintendo's reputation.
But the "New 3DS" is cheap junk, not worth anywhere near $200. It's ancient, poor technology with cheap, low-spec components. So it's not a good thing to compare with the Switch. And it's dead anyway, Nintendo is basically pulling the plug on it. Look around, you'll see that 3DS hardware is drying up at all the major retailers.
"Nintendo can sustain themselves."
That didn't happen with the Wii U, and it won't happen with the Switch. The games you listed either appeal mainly to diehard Nintendo fans, or are niche titles that simply won't draw a substantial amount of gamers to the new platform. If the Switch ends up being a primarily Nintendo supported system, it will surely fail.
