Wow so instead of Gorilla Glass, Nintendo used a plastic screen? Of all the issues they had with the design, how could they have cheaped out on the screen material by using plastic, which scratches easily? This is a portable device meant to be taken on the go, it absolutely should have had a very strong, scratch proof glass screen. Absolutely unbelievable that Nintendo is so out of touch when it comes to console design, they really don't seem to understand gaming hardware design at all.
Relative to its competition, the PS4 and XB1, obviously. Was that so hard to understand?
But it's Nintendo's hardware, which was his point. You can't make cutting edge games on mediocre home console hardware.
We are talking about casual, gimmicky games designed to attract casual gamers to Nintendo's platforms. He said that 1-2 Switch is "marketing" aimed at casuals, and I pointed out that the same exact kinds of throwaway gimmicky games were released on the Wii U, for the exact same purpose, to attract casuals. And those games failed to move the needle for the Wii U.
That's happening with every article on N4G for me, using Firefox on Android. I opened a ticket to make N4G administration aware of it.
So how did that same type of "marketing", with the same type of gimmicky casual games, work out for the Wii U? Oh right, it failed miserably.
Zelda is not for "hardcore gamers", it's really just for diehard Nintendo fans, a small group of casual gamers that has been shrinking every year, as the core of real gamers grow tired of Nintendo's poor gimmicks tied to cheap hardware.
This game is yet another example of how Nintendo has lost touch with what gamers want. A bunch of garbage shovelware gimmicky "mini games" that no one wants, at full price. What a joke.
Wow this is an incredibly disturbing game, looks like a horrifying recreation of Hell.

With probably one of the worst launch lineups ever (one good game and a handful of shovelware), it's totally insane to claim that the Switch lineup is "much stronger". Forbes is a complete joke clickbait website, no one should support them by clicking on their articles.
It might have been a great option for a new handheld, if Nintendo hadn't cut corners on its features, like the small battery that only gives a few hours of play, or the 720p screen which could have easily been 1080p. Seriously, they could have spent a few more bucks to give it a beefier battery for longer play sessions, and a higher resolution screen, but just like the Wii U before, they opted to put the bare minimum into the system to keep their profits as high as possible.
I absolutely loved the original Bulletstorm when it came out on the 360 and PS3, it was a pure adrenaline blast of arcade action, something that had been missing from FPS games for a long time. It has bright, colorful graphics with awesome environments, great weapons, and over the top action. And unlike the many throwaway multiplayer-only FPS games out there, this game has plenty of replayability due to its emphasis on single player content.
I'm really happy that People...

"I am pretty sure any game made for the Switch would probably look just as good on an Xbox One (and it is weak)."
What are you talking about? The XB1 is far more powerful than the Switch, with twice the RAM and a better CPU and GPU. I don't think that the Switch can handle most XB1 games well in its home console mode. The XB1 is a solid console with many fantastic games already (and yes, I own a PS4 as well, and love it too!).
@ Garethvk - it's $30 per year for the Bestbuy GCU:

That gives you 20% off all new/sealed games, and 10% off used. Amazon is $99 per year, but you only get 20% off preorders and new releases (up to 2 weeks after release). But of...
Wow, only 2 measly hours of battery life for a handheld released in 2017? Sounds like Nintendo cut corners on the internal battery for the Switch, just like they did with the Wii U gamepad. They just can't bring themselves to beef up their gaming hardware their modern standards, and the people that have to suffer with the cheapness are their fans. What a shame.
If you have Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked or Amazon Prime, you can get Bulletstorm for $40 at launch:

Bulletstorm was a fantastic game. I preordered the Full Clip edition on both the PS4 and XB1, looking forward to it!
Honestly, this game should have been bundled in with the Switch, it's just garbage shovelware. More embarrassing motion control crap, just like the Wii.
It's really unbelievable that Nintendo's flagship crown jewel launch game for the Switch runs so poorly in docked mode. Did they even play test the game prior to release? By all rights the game should run silky smooth in docked mode, and not be subject to stuttering and frame drops. Not a good sign for the future of this console.
