This game was also reviewed twice by Polygon. The second review downgraded the score because of the online launch problems. I don't have a problem with games being re-reviewed especially if the performance of the game has significantly improved the user experience. As far as I'm concerned, the more information I have about a game the better. I purchased the PS4 at launch and have not regretted my purchase. It's true that there have been only a few AAA exclusives but the cross generation multi plats perform much better on the PS4 than they do on the PS3. I also did not play the games that were remastered for the current generation on my PS3 (Tomb Raider, TLOU and GTAV) so, that was a bonus. That said, I think the PS4 will be a much more compelling buy for those people who haven't upgraded yet, once exclusives like Blood...

If you like what the X1 has to offer, now is certainly the time to pick it up in the USA because of the Holiday discount and the multiple free game bundles.
You seem to like fighting games. FYI, Xbox ain't getting Street Fighter V, Persona Arena games or Super Smash Bros. But maybe you don't care as all you seem to care about is Killer Instinct (and to a much lesser extent Mortal combat which as far as I know isn't an Ip exclusive to MS.) If MS has your back as far as fighters go, then how come you won't be able to play Street Fighter V and Super Smash Bros on their consoles?
I'm playing Shadow of Mordor atm. The game play is very good, the story line, imo, is just ok. I'll probably complete the game (more than half way through the story right now) but, I've had more fun playing Infamous SS and Watchdogs this year. This is a game that would've benefited from an on-line or physical manual - I'm getting tired of looking up moves on-line - but I guess WB/Monolith was too cheap to provide one. The vaunted 'Nemesis' system just annoys me...
Downgrade! Wtf! How can you call pre-alpha gameplay a downgrade when compared to an E3 trailer? People are getting paranoid because of what happened with Watch Dogs and other games. ND still has plenty of development time to upgrade UC4 gameplay.

Well, the X1 did sell extremely well on BF. It's also true that the $329 bundle was available before BF and the PS4 bundles weren't available until Friday. If we're just looking at Friday (Black) it seems that the PS4 bundles (at least according to Amazon, Gamestop and Best Buy Best Seller lists) sold better. Lol. The author of the article should've waited until Black Friday actually hit before writing this bs. The X1 ACU $329 bundle was actually available before Black Friday. Once the PS4 bundles became available they began to sell just as well if not better than the X1 bundles (see Amazon and Gamestop best selling lists.) That said, the X1 may still sell more units on Black Friday and in Nov. overall in the USA but I don't think it will do so in a dominating manner.

So far the X1 bundles continue to sell well in the US - the discounted ACU bundle alone has been outselling the PS4 on US Amazon for most of November and that includes a game that is a buggy mess. So, I don't see how the author can conclude that the X1 comeback may be derailed at this moment in time.

Omg, this is one of the most poorly written articles I've ever read. This site should be banned. My brain hurts and I feel like killing somebody after reading that mess. That said, video games, TV shows, and movies with violent content are not responsible for propagating violence in society. Societies, cultures, weapons and sick human beings are responsible for propagating violence. People have been slaughtering each other for no good reason since humans first walked the earth.
It seems to be true that X1 sales have slowed after the launches of TMCC and the discounted COD and ACU bundles but post launch slow down is to be expected. It's still selling quite well - much better than it has been all year. I expect that a lot of people in the market for a console on Black Friday will be unaware of the problems with TMCC and ACU and buy lots of X1 bundles including the COD bundle. Imo, it's too early to say MS blew it for the Holiday season.
