"If you consider PS4 and XO they have the same hardware power." Umm - that's factually not true - you are trying to be a stealth troll. Try better next time.
Seems like you didn't read the article. None the Xbox1 games you mentioned have been released so you can't play them.
All games, imo, should provide you with the option to play on and off line and should provide a meaty single player experience. It would be nice if you could grind as a solo player offline then transfer any experience earned offline to online gameplay.
Lol. Appreciate your candid comment. Even if Sony goes bankrupt, imo, the Playstation brand will live on because some corporation looking to get into gaming will buy it. 11 million PS4 consoles sold World wide in less than a year (and before the 2014 Holiday season) is by, most standards, pretty damn good.
Sounds like Phil wants to go on an indie buying spree. If MS didn't have the parity clause and he didn't have to worry about exclusivity, he'd be able to secure these games for Xbox platforms with less money, and invest the savings into first party AAA games. I know a lot of people like Spencer but, I find him to be glib.
I appreciate the way you carefully worded your comment "microsoft actually managed to have as many copies of destiny out there for its consoles as sony (~1.2m each)," because it acknowledges that Destiny didn't sell as many copies on Xbox platforms because it could be picked up for free during last weeks sales promotion. The fact that you could pick up Destiny for free on the X1 last week just makes it's sales on Playstation platforms even more impressive.
I hope play this game will have a decent and meaty single player campaign. If it's on-line only and focuses on multiplayer, I'll be disappointed. I don't play games like Destiny and Titanfall because they don't cater to the gamer who likes to go solo.
I've always had a problem with the GTA prostitute killing thing - it is misogynistic. I think freedom of speech and free artistic expression are important ideals but I think it's about time for Rockstar to express themselves differently and take the choice for this for senseless and gratuitous violence against women out of GTA. I don't think they should be forced to do so, but it would be a classy move on their part.
The digital copy bundled with the XB1 came at no extra cost so it shouldn't count the same as a full priced digital or retail version of the game. I'm sure that some people who bought the bundle won't play the game that much. Best way to determine how a game is doing on a specific platform is to figure out the ratio of players per platform.
I really liked Watch Dogs. The story and characters may not have been top notch but they complimented the game play. I played that game for over 80 hrs - good bang for my buck.
An honest appraisal of the hardware by a console brand's employee - very refreshing. No PR bs. That said, I agree with those who've said that you can't compare PC's to consoles. Fixed spec consoles just can't be compared to a platform where the specs wildly vary.
This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, MS will have to clarify a PR statement about the Xbox One. It's becoming predictable, laughable, and sad and it comes off as being desperate.
Your assumption that 360 gamers will automatically upgrade to the Xbox One is not valid. Your assumption that any gamer will remain loyal to the console brand they favored last generation be it Playstation, Xbox, or Nintendo is also not valid. Your conclusion, that the X1 will be King of the USA may end up coming true, but your method of predicting the future is based on pure fanboy illogic.
But since the digital copy of Madden 2015 was included at no extra cost in the Xbox 1 bundle, should it count as a sale? Seems to me, that it should count, but not in the same way as a full digital buy where you actually pay full retail price for the game. Seems to me that the best way to determine which platform Madden 2015 is actually performing better on is by number of gamers per platform playing. NPD isn't interested in that, their interested in actual retail sales.
Wow, my brain is almost dead from all those FREAKING CAPS! That said, why do you care? And why should we care how you spend your money?
Freaking Hipsters!
Kingdoms of Amalur had great fluid game play and a huge world to explore - other than that I don't understand the comparison. Kingdoms is SP only, Destiny is MP online only.
Hey, forget about the fanboy wars for a second, you know what's cool? I just checked PSN and Xbox Live and neither network is having problems because of the massive influx of Destiny gamers. I guess kudos should go to Activision and Bungie for a relatively smooth on-line launch. I understand this is probably due to Activision relying on its own servers.
Colin Moriarty is a self-professed Republican leaning towards the Libertarian side of the party. He doesn't believe in taxes because he is a selfish b--tard. Hello, taxes are needed to keep this freaking country going. Any listicle he's involved with is suspect due to political affiliations. No surprise that there are lots of indies on this list - they fit his Libertarian sh-t a-s attitude. Sorry guys for bringing politics into this discussion, but Moriarty is a condescending a-s.
I enjoyed Watch Dogs. Got 80+ hours of game play out of it so, it was good bang for my buck. Was it an innovative game that introduced new ways to play, no it wasn't, but so what? I had a blast playing it. Lately, I've heard from critics and gamers alike that they're looking for 'next-gen' game play in this generation's games and are disappointed when they don't get it, but I haven't heard any one bother to define what 'next gen' game play is. I'...
