It seems clear to me that MS is looking at a future where the Xbox brand will become a service where the home console is no longer the best and only place to consume the service from. Sony is doing the same thing (ie PS Now and PSTV,) they're just not going there as quickly because the PS4, sales wise, has been more successful than the Xbox One.
This is not good news for the Xbox One. Apparently, MS, which earns most of its income from software, has decided to forgo Xbox One exclusivity in favor of selling more gaming software across all available platforms. Smart business move. MS is playing to its strength - software.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see MS try to enter the PC gaming market with new hardware (ie PCs, tablets and smart phones) that can play games just as well or better than the Xbox One....

Blast Corps (because it got me hooked on video games,) Diddy Kong Racing, Jet Force Gemini, Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Uncharted 1 (not because it was the best Uncharted game but because it was the first in the series and was the reason why I played the other 2.)
@Bathyj I agree. I've sunk hundreds of hours into some RPGS and thoroughly enjoyed the experience but I rarely play them again because they take so much time to complete. However, I play games like the Uncharted 1,2,3, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us and Infamous 1,2, SS again and again because they don't take forever to complete. The only 40 plus hour game I've replayed is Persona 4. I played the original PS2 release and am now replaying the Golden version on Vita 6 years later.
"I've never seen a fanbase that tries and make up so many conspiracies theories trying to paint themselves and Sony as the underdog, trying to battle through waves and waves of adversity and huge hurdles." I disagree, the MS, Nintendo and PC fan bases do the same things. Fans will do pretty much anything to defend what they love and criticize what they hate. Kind of like supporting a sports franchise - you're going to love your team no matter what their success or failure r...
@ Wesker Apparently, by your own words, you haven't always been a Xbox guy first since the PS2 and original Xbox coexisted and you purchased, by the inference of your own words, the PS2 first.
@Magicite - You assume too much - there's no guarantee that Bloodborne, Xenoblade and Quantum Break will be highly rated. That said, Uncharted 4, Zelda and Halo 5 will probably be successful even if they're not highly rated.
Really? RE: E3: " I think you’re gonna leave really, really, really happy in the investment you made." Lol - Mr. Greenberg it's really, really, really, a million times over, over, over, stupid to, hype, hype, hype.
This game has received quite a few positive reviews - though they are in the minority. It will be interesting to see if this game can become a commercial success despite its mixed critical reception. The game still interests me enough that I will probably pick it up once the price drops.
While the majority of the reviews I've read are mixed with scores averaging in the 60s, I've also read quite a few positive reviews ranging from the 70's to a couple in the 90s which leads me to believe that quite a few people will genuinely enjoy the game. @deester It's ok to say that you prefer what the X1 has to offer however; it's not OK to accuse those who prefer what the PS4 has to offer of not being honest. Personally, I could give two effs about multimedia capabilities and apps and motion and voice control. Primarily, I want a console that's designed to play games. All the other stuff is extraneous.
It's hard to tell of the X1 numbers are correct since MS has not given us official sales numbers as of late. At least Sony gave us LTD sales at 18.5 mill as of the beginning of January. That said, there is no doubt that the PS4 has a healthy lead in world wide sales.
@Kingscorpion The PS4 has not sold almost 15 million more consoles than the X1. According to Sony, the LTD sales as of January 3rd were at 18.5 million - there's no way the X1 had LTD sales under 4 million for the same time period.
@ Imalwaysright The last TR was also available on Playstation consoles and apparently it sold better on PS consoles. Imo, it may do well as a timed exclusive but it ain't gonna sell 3.5 million on Xbox consoles in its first month of release.
Most of the review addresses the game's game play problems. Did you even read it? That said, just curious, do you like women?
OMG! I read the review and most of it has nothing to do with political correctness. Apparently, the game is a broken mess and really freaking sucks. The developer in question is obviously being a defensive dick head. Hey, Jarosław, stop crying and make games that work.
The author states that 4k has become affordable for the masses then doesn't bother to state what the cost is to play games in 4k compared to the cost of playing games on current generation consoles. The fact that he uses the word 'masses' inclines me to believe he is an out of touch elitist who thinks that money is easy to come by.
This is article is an opinion piece. It is not an example of journalism. Apparently the author has formed an opinion of the game and its game play before the game's release which means his opinion is not based on fact.
A DDoS attack is cyber vandalism. Vandalism, whether it be cyber or otherwise, will always be present - has been since Man first appeared on the face of this earth. Governments and companies can apply strategies to mitigate vandalism but, they will never be able to eliminate vandalism.
