I thought the reason so many developers are using the UE3 was because it was flexible, fairly easy to use and mostly because of Epic's technical assistance.
I don't know much about Crytek's customer service, but even if they can deliver the best of the two engine, if they're not able or willing to help other developers master their engine, expect UE3 to still be in use for a while.
So, Majin is one of the best game you've played this generation, but it's not great because it's not a PS3 exclusive? And, if you meant they would have sold better had they been PS3 exclusive, I highly doubt that.
Both are great games, but, like their previous efforts (the underrated Heavenly Sword and Folklore), these games were almost destined not to sell a whole lot, exclusive or not. Poor marketing and release dates can kill a game.
They should wait for the release of LA Noire before even thinking about acquiring Team Bondi. I'm sorry, but Team Bondi has yet to release a game, and as of now, their work has been judged by a few screenshots and videos. For all we know, LA Noire could prove to be a disappointment in the gameplay department. Also, considering the fact that some (if not most) of Bondi's staff is coming from Team Soho, I really feel we should wait to play the game by ourselves before calling it great, ...
And they also happen not to be published by Microsoft, unlike Gears of War, Viva Pinata and Fable 3.
When Superking said it was a GFWL title, he didn't mean to say that games can't be sold on both services, but rather than a Microsoft published game will not find itself on a competitor to its own game delivery service.
Finally, I can put my 2000 to rest and play KH:BBS, Lumines and Crisis Core on my PSPGo (3 games I actually own on UMD btw).
How were Gran Turismo 5, Fable 3 and Alan Wake over rated? Last time I checked, all three have had their fair share of bad reviews and a bunch of average scores. GT5 has a 84 metacritic average, 83 for Alan Wake and 80 for Fable 3. I'd say that these games easily deserve the scores they got, and some should even have better scores.
When did a game being hyped become being over rated anyway?
According to N4G, no, you're not in love with your samsung omnia 7 and its super amoled screen.
I love how people can and will either agree or disagree with such a personal opinion.
People might not like him and he might be wrong most of the time, but it's a career nonetheless. It's not like he lives in his mom's basement giving his opinion on everything on random blogs. The guy has a somewhat nice house (as seen on gametrailers) and a real job as an analyst with a real salary. The guy is basically paid to play games and be interested in gaming as a whole. I for one would love to be paid to do what he does.
As if Activision is ever going to allow one of their character to appear in another publisher's game.
Also, if they want to put an exclusive character for the 360 version of the game, why not use RAAM. I mean, we all definitely need more RAAM. Sure, he ain't much of a speaker, and we only saw him in one game, and most people probably wouldn't know who he is, but RAAM had a sword, a big one too. He also controls bats from another world that fear the light.

According to wikipedia, the iPad sold twice as fast as the original iPhone (for the first million sold). However, I think the iPhone 4 sold faster than the iPad. Or maybe they only take the first generation in account, if that were the case, the iPad could possibly be the fastest selling gadget at its launch, and if the numbers provided for kinect are true, it would now hold that crown. Obviously, there's quite a lot of speculation in all of this, but it's not impossible.
So, when reviewers publish their review close to the release date of a game, they rushed it, but when it's a week after, they're late to the party?
I don't know if you're serious or just kidding/trolling, as I can imagine someone thinking that CoD, Resistance or KZ are the best shooters around, but I have a hard time someone really thinking that HL2 is boring ''because you're a hardcore gamer''...
Because he doesn't usually plays racing games, he probably doesn't have a wheel nor will he need one in the near future.
I guess it makes sense, as for Sony itself, 4.1 million units have been sold to the retailers. Now, while Pachter is basing his numbers on the October data for NA, his numbers seem to be plausible.
I would also like to point out that having the amount of units sold for both Kinect and Move is quite pointless and mostly looks like flamebait, but if people are going to use these numbers for their arguments, I guess it's better to use the real numbers (of Kinect and PS Move...
Well, like they wrote in the article, and like T9X69 stated, they're not referring to the sales of said games, nor are they looking at the scores the games received in itself, but they are comparing the expectations people had for the game during its development cycles, and what they got in the end.
I believe that's how they managed to get some of these games on the list, since GT5 sold (and is still selling) very well and receiving great reviews, but, still accordin...
I agree there are many shooters this gen, however, we still get our fair share of racing games (GT5, Forza3, NFS:HP, Burnout Paradise, Mario Kart, WipeOut HD, etc), of WRPGs (think Mass Effect, DA), JRPGs (LO, Tales of Vesperia and Graces, FF13, Disgaea, etc).
And creativity is actually rewarded every now and then, think Demon soul, which sold very well and was well received by critics. Now, of course games like Call of Duty, Halo and Killzone are likely to sell more than say...
Jeux video is video game in French. I would also like to point out that Jeux video is not a person.
To all those claiming this is nothing but a site looking for hits, it is unlikely considering jeuxvideo.com is one of Europe's biggest and most known video game website, aswell as probably being the biggest French written video game oriented website in the world.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the review itself, but remember that this site has about the same credibility as Gamespot, IGN, GameTrailers or 1up, to name a few. (Obviously, the level of credibility...
And while we're at it, maybe bring back some characters from the original games (and books). Ding Chavez has to come back somehow!
Would be a very nice device, however, I can't see how Sony would be able to sell these at a competitive price (with the 3DS being priced at around 250$). Also, when you look at smartphone prices (without contracts), they are usually between 400 to 600$, and have much lower specs, so I can't see this machine being priced under 400$ at best.
