Portal 2's only flaw has to be a rather low replayability factor, however, it's not like it's the only game suffering form that, story-driven games like Heavy Rain, adventure games like Monkey Islands, Sam and Max or Full Throttle, as well as a bunch of action games (like the first Assassins creed) all give you little to no reason to play them more than a few times.

Portal 2 is a great game, it's fun, it feels fresh and stands out in a genre dominated by Call...

Well, for one, I'd say that pricing it around 300$+ makes sense, considering that while the Xbox360 arcade might drop close to 100-150$, this project cafe is the big N's next generation console. When the 360 came out, the PS2 was selling for something like 130-150$ and that didn't stop MS from pricing their console much higher.

Just like you said, the next generation offerings from MS and Sony are likely to be announced soon to be released a year or two after proj...

Nice to hear it will be on the PSN, great game, but maybe a bit too easy.

If Valve knew all along that Portal 2 wound NOT be released earlier for those with the potato sack (either by knowing people would not play these games enough or simply by putting the goal too far to be realistically reached), it is a scam. I'm not saying they did, but it seems some people think so.

You compare it with a beta access; had Crackdown been released with an early access to the Halo3 beta, but only gave you access to the H3 beta at the same time as every one el...

Alfa, the NGP is using a 4 cores ARM processor, the next gen consoles (wii2 included) will likely not use such processor which are mostly being designed for portable devices. My i7-2600k has 4 cores and even if they were clocked at 1ghz, they'd still be more powerful than a quadcore ARM cpu.

If you judge a console's success/failure by comparing it to the PS2, I'm glad to tell you that the PSX was a failure, the Wii is a failure, the PS3 and the X360 are failures and guess what, the only platform close to not being one is the DS, that's it. The PS2 was a great console with a great game library and basically had a weakened competition from a dying SEGA, Nintendo and a new comer with little experience in game consoles called Microsoft.

No console will r...

I say we should wait before judging the game. It might be in the same setting as DR2 with DR's original protagonist, but that doesn't mean it won't be worth the price of admission. Remember the outrage when L4D2 was announced? Yet, the game turned out better than the first one in many ways and was overall very well received, even by those boycotting the game.

We currently have very little information about DR:OtR, there's still a chance Capcom could surprise ...

Why use the 400 series in a console that will likely come out in 2012? The 400 series is already outdated by the 500 series. If anything, both MS and Sony will do like last time, and you'll likely see modified versions of the GTX580 and HD6970 in their consoles.

Since it would seem next gen consoles will come out around 2012, and both MS and Sony will probably try to have another 5-6 years cycle, I'd say 8GB would be a good idea, considering these consoles will still be around in 2017-2018.

To me, it's all about the multiplayer, as I think it's a lot of fun. The graphics were pretty good on PC, don't know about consoles though.

To be fair, I think BF3 will be the first of many PC games showing that we need a new generation of console soon (not now). BF3 will feature significantly more players online on PC, not just better graphics. When you start changing the number of players in an online game, you start messing with the gameplay; a game featuring 64 players won't play the same as one featuring less players in smaller maps.

Of course, some will say that MAG featured 256 players online, which is...

Only blaming a publisher is ridiculous, some developers can't make a good game (remember Titus Software's in house developed games?), while others simply can't make a good game by respecting reasonable deadlines and budget.

Giving a developer all the time it needs will usually result in huge development costs that will make the game unable to ever be even close to making a penny. Publishers want to make money, not sink all their cash in some game that will not be ...

I'd probably wait for a second generation Xperia play; the idea of having PSPGo-like sliding controls is very nice, but sadly it would seem (from various reviews) that the screen is subpar and, quite surprisingly for a game-focused phone, it doesn't have a dual-cored CPU, which is pretty much set to be a standard for higher end cellphones in the coming months.

It's nice to know that games will control well, it's however disappointing to know that by the end ...

Well, with these tips, I'll either get plenty of new friends on my 3DS, or get arrested for stalking and get an injunction prohibiting me from getting near any kid or school for the rest of my life. Worth the risk, as my Mii won't get saved from his cage on his own.

I'm pretty sure Prey 2 is using idtech4. But even if it uses idtech5, Prey 2 is being published bu Bethesda, the same publisher behind RAGE, they're both in the same company (Zenimax).

They can't. iD already said that they weren't looking to license it.

The PS3 has a much bigger install base in Japan, add to that the fact that you can buy multiple Move controllers for a single PS3 (usually up to 4 per console if you're really into it), it's no surprise to see Move outsell Kinect.

Actually, if by the end of this generation the Move hasn't outsold Kinect by atleast 2 to 1 worldwide, I'd be somewhat disappointed.

To be fair, the PC version of Crysis 2 (I assume that's the game you were referring to) is the best version of all 3, it's just not as better as some wanted it to be.

Consider this, not everyone in the finance world knows that Call of Duty sell millions of copies each year, they don't know if a publisher's line-up is good or bad. Pachter is there to tell them that Activision is the biggest third party publisher because of CoD and Blizzard, he's there to tell them what the next logical step would be for a company (the WiiHD did not happen, but would've made sense).

He's not paid to tell gamers what to expect in the futur...
