So, last week (or so) Machinarium's developer complained that MS wasn't treating them right as they did not want to publish their game on XBLA and let them find a publisher for other platforms; as MS will mostly seek to publish exclusive games.
This week, Team Meat is complaining that MS offered them to be put in the Game Feast promotion (which obviously means there's a launch window you can't miss) and did not push a product they didn't feel was on par wi...
It's funny, it would seem that for a while now, each new handheld has been plagued by the same problems. I will use Godofsackboy's comment to explain my point.
It has old remakes; one of the GBA's selling point was the possibility of playing SNES ports on it, games like Final Fight One, or the numerous Final Fantasy titles that have found their way to the GBA is a testament to that. The DS was also filled with remakes, think Super Mario DS for example. But it see...
So basically, most people remember the first game as a game featuring portals and starring native american fighting aliens. The second game will be your run of the mill FPS protagonist fighting aliens. Great.
I just don't understand the whole "screw the haters" part, why would anyone hate on such a fantastic bundle? You would basically get what is set to be a great handheld (once games start to come out for it) with two awesome games.
wasn't this on this website like a week ago?
Go check Railworks 2 on Steam, 72 DLC packs, worth over 1100$.
I did not disagree, however, I can see why people would. Killzone 3 is the third entry in a franchise that started on the PS2, after the infamous KZ2 movie they showed at E3 (2005 I think), Killzone 2 became one of the most hyped game to grace the PS3, not GT5 hype, but definately more than hype than most franchise to have hit the PS3 from Sony. Best of all, Killzone 2, despite its flaws, was very well received by the public and critics alike, as it had great MP, a good SP and awesome graphic...
If I understand this correctly, this developer wanted to put his game on XBLA, which requires a publisher, may it be a third party one or Microsoft itself, did not want to deal with a third party one, as they take a big share out of every sale. Basically, they wanted MS to puclish their game on the X360, but did not want to make it a X360 exclusive. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't MS in their right to expect a game they would publish to be exclusive?
Now, I do know...
Where do you live for the 3DS to cost more than a Ps3? Here (in Canada) the 3DS is 249 while the Ps3 is at 299. The 3DS is however, more expensive than the X360 4GB, which sells for 199.
If this article is to be trusted, you won't have to push invisible switches, as kinect will be used for some stuff whiole most of the game will be played using a controller. I would still have prefered a massive controller like the one used for the first SB, but I guess a kinect/controller hybrid can probably pull it off.
So, it does use a controller after all, count me in then.
I don't think most people are comparing the WH40K universe with Gears' universe, they are comparing the gameplay of two games, Gears of War and Space Marine, both are third persion shooter and I assume they both have a cover system.
Edit:
Thanks for the info.
If Sony, or any major publisher or platform maker for that matter, is willing to refuse to have a major developer like Epic games work on their platform, well, it's their loss. Just like Sony won't hold any grudge against Activision despite their poor port of Black Ops and their support to MS, it won't refuse to receive a potentially AAA game just because one of the guy working on said game has stated his opinions on various matters.
And, in the same way, even if ...
Zootang, you do realize that it would have been impossible for Nintendo to sell more than 400 000 units in the first week in Japan now, do you? If you have 400 000 units in stock, you're not going to end up selling a million.
"worst line-up in history" yeah, right...
So, waterboy, considering the only reason the PC or any other platform can't get this game is because Sony owns the IP, your argument is about as relevant as me saying that the PS3 can't run Grim Fandango at a better resolution and better framerate than on PC, which obviously has nothing to do with the hardware itself.
Yes, but as far as I know, Treyarch are working on the next CoD (2012), while IW is doing most of the work on what is rumored to be MW3 with assistance from Raven and Sledgehammer. I'd say that after MW3, there's a chance that there will be 3 studios working full time on the CoD franchise, on 3 different games, which would allow each team 3 years to develop a new game rather than the 2 years they have right now, allowing for more improvements on the game and the technology itself.
Command and Conquer Renegade had a very enjoyable multiplayer component. On the other hand, Haze's MP was filled by team killers and even without them, it was bland and overall boring.
If it really is a 10 hours campaign, I can't see the problem. Most shooters to day have less than a 10 hours campaign anyway.
Bundling free games with a console is now seen as desperation? I guess everyone is desperate then...
