If I remember correctly, much of the outrage was due to sony refusing to admit the trailer was CG. But I could be wrong.

Anyway, the final product, while not as sharp (in the comparisons that were made at the time of the release, you could see the game had slightly more blurry textures among other things), proved to be a much better looking one, thanks to awesome lighting and an improved artistic direction.

I think they mean they have the option to slow down the frame rate of the game, therefor allowing for enhanced graphics despite using the same specs.

I like him, but the fact that Mike Haggar can piledriver a shark and fight an old man in a wheelchair while being a mayor should have guaranteed him that spot.

considering everyone gets the same demo, as everyone has to get it from XLive, it would be unlikely for one lucky person to mysteriously get a different one.

I remember seeing a preview for the Mac version of Halo in one of my old PC games magazine, I think it was joystick.

Holiday release for PC? yeah, right. PC users will likely be lucky to get it by the end of Q1 2011.

but, if the elder scrolls 2 is the biggest one listed, doesn't that actually mean that games are not bigger than they used to be?

I love my PS3, as not only can it play awesome PS3 games, it can also play PS2 and PSOne games, it also stores my PSN purchases for my PSP. It's also less noisy than my 360 when playing and is a Blu-ray player.

But is it the only console I need? No, when it comes to local co-op, the 360 has its fair share of games, Perfect Dark, PDZ, Splinter Cell conviction, Halo (3, ODST and the upcoming Reach), Gears, Castle Crashers (can't wait for the PS3 version though), only to name a few....

Actually, both Viva Pinata and EDF2017 are great games. Viva pinata might not be for everyone, as those looking for blood and gore, or a deep plot, won't be satisfied. However, if you are looking for a game people of all ages can enjoy and features some pretty nice graphics too, most notably the artistic design, you will be hard pressed to find something better than VP.

As for EDF2017, the low production values and repetitive gameplay might be too much for many. but if you dig un...

Of course they won't stop, it's all part of a long term plan. With video games consoles, brand loyalty means a lot. When the PS3 launched, it didn't have great value, it didn't have the great games it has now, it didn't have a good online component, it didn't offer most services it offers today, heck, it didn't have rumble! All it had was the PlayStation brand name and some nifty CGI trailers of future games, yet, it still managed to move units.

Microsoft probably thinks it will ...

Actually, they've been saying it for quite a while now that the old Live infrastructure was interfering with future development of the "current" Live one. Think of it like Windows, one of Windows' problem is that with each iteration, they're just stacking up new stuff on the old stuff, and they can't just ditch it all without causing major compatibility issues with older software. Or so I believe.

And, may I know why you have to take in consideration a monitor for your gaming PC, but not your TV for a game console? As for the OS, you can get it pretty cheap if you happen to be a student or use one you already have (if you do).

As for the GPU, it will be one if not the most expensive part, however, you don't need the latest one to play games at 1080p and higher with a solid frame rate, furthermore, ATi has been releasing some solid and quite affordable GPUs lately.

I believe what he's saying is that both the 360 and the PS3 have 512mn of RAM, but unlike the RSX, the X360's GPU also has EDRAM. He's not saying it's better, but rather than it's better to have it than not have it.

that might have a lot more to do with the fact that SC2 will be a traditional RTS with great units balance, rather than the utter crap EA gave us with CnC4. All I'm asking for is a competitive RTS with unit variety and balance, something Blizzard intends to deliver, as opposed to most other RTS makers, blindly trying to alter the formula by trial and errors.

For example, Dawn of War was an awesome RTS, Dawn of War 2 was a huge disappointment for me. Red Alert 2 is my favorite RT...

I think stealth games are pretty much dead. Now, I greatly enjoyed MGS4, AC I and II as well as SC:C, but if you look at SC:C and MGS4, they are completely different games than their predecessors were, rather than putting you in the role of a prey that can defend itself, we're now the predators, in both games, stealth was mostly optional, as going in guns blazing was a less rewarding yet functional way to go through most of those games. I was playing in co-op in SC:C yesterday, and at times, ...

They can be sued for breach of contract. As for Raypture, a contract binds those who signed it. Of course, a contract involving an illegal action is not a binding one, simply because the law is above it. However, a contract which involves nothing illegal, like the ones they likely signed with Activision, is a binding one.

What would be the point of contracts if they were only pieces of paper?

If indeed both of them have taken CoD assets with them, or have convinced ...

Well, objectively, DLC means Donwloadable content, which is the case right now. If you argued about when the DLC is actually on the disc, then I'd have to agree with you though.

I demand a new Steel Battalion game! And while I'm at it, I also demand a new Panzer Dragoon game! Why is it that the few Xbox games that were worth playing (Brute Force, JSRF (I know this one started on DC though), Conker (a N64 remake though) and Deathrow) have fallen in the realm of forgotten franchises.

I know most of these weren't exactly financial successes, mostly Steel Battalion, but I hate to see SEGA leaving Jet Set and Panzer Dragoon in the closet while they are pump...
