And he will be CEO of Activision Publishings, not Activision Blizzard. They even mention in the article that he will have to answer to CEO Kotick.

I find it funny how the writer blames activision for not marketing the game as well as it could have. Maybe someone should tell that person that publishers do not have an infinite amount of cash to market all their games. Obviously, Call of Duty Black Ops will have a bigger marketing budget, considering it is Activision's biggest franchise. Just like people are expecting Halo:Reach to receive a bigger push by MS than a smaller title like Viva Pinata, or like Sony put much more cash behind...

to be fair, shouldn't the price also include the price of the PS3 itself for your comparison. Granted, if you already own a PS3, it will only cost you 40, but you still need a PS3 to operate it.

Other PVRs are stand alone.

I just hope they are not simply porting the iPhone version with some improvements, as that would be disappointing.

I believe the major problem with an AO rated game is that some retailers, like Wal-Mart I think, will not carry the product. It might be fine for many gamers, who already know that places like Wal-Mart usually don't carry several games (think most Atlus or NIS titles for example), but they are still a huge part of the market.

It's somewhat hard to make a mainstream franchise when your game is only sold at some select places.

I respectfully disagree, as one who bought Genji 2 full price at launch, even when compared to the somewhat lackluster launch titles of the PS3, Genji was subpar, the graphics left me completely unimpressed, the combat did not entertain me at all. The only reason this game sold some copies is because there wasn't much else to play on the PS3 at the time, with the exception of Resistance.

And while it did get hammer by gamers for the Giant enemy crab thing, critics hammere...

Black ops will win in sales. As for the quality of the game, I'd say MoH has its chances. However, after 2 days of wait to get my beta code, and EA's terrible customer service, I can safely say I will be buying Black Ops. I'm not saying I won't buy MoH, but I certainly won't be the first in line to buy it.

I know it's only the beta, but that doesn't mean EA has to screw us so called VIPs (owners of BF:BC2) for a whole two days, while giving us some...

I played KZ for a bit, and watched the rest of the story on youtube, and I have to agree that Rico was a fine character in the first game. However, in the second outing, they made him a shallow character who only thinks about mindless killing and using the F word every time the opportunity arises. When listening to him while playing KZ2, I couldn't help but think that if that's the average ISA soldier, no wonder the Helghast invaded Vekta...

I guess the real reason I ...

Usually I'd say it shouldn't be allowed, but considering it is related to Rico, I'd say an exception should be made.

I find it funny you bring up the 360 in an article regarding the MoH beta, considering the 360 beta was delayed.

Anyway, I'm somewhat disappointed, seeing I was hoping to play the beta today, guess I'll have to wait for the 21st now, considering I'm working this weekend...

I do wonder when it will be released though. Seeing the 3DS seemed somewhat late in its development stage (at least enough to fully show it to the press), I thought they were going to give us an approximative release date.

I hope it's out worldwide by year's end.

But, for the PS3, weren't they using a total of 3 trackers of some kind (I didn't really pay attention to EA Active2, only saw a glimpse of what was happening) while the guy on the X360 only had one? Also, I thought I heard the person presenting the game claiming kinect was the only one allowing for full body tracking or something similar?

any words on a canadian release date and/or any trade-in offers for the old 360?

Great! a new X360 model! something I was very interested in, until I realized that only 3 games shown during the whole conference interested me (and two of them are actually multiplatform). I wonder if MS realizes that new hardware won't sell that much if it doesn't come with either a price cut or games people want to play. After watching the conference, I'd they definitely don't have the stellar line-up I hoped they would have for the rest of the year.

actually, Evolution does mention that other developers have realized this in the past 12-18 months, therefor acknowledging Blur and split/second. The guy in this interview didnt, but another spokesperson did in a similar interview on IGN.

"tried to be heavy rain"? I don't remember Heavy Rain being being a third person action game, nor did it feature supernatural forces. The gameplay in both games is completely different.

As for the topic, no, it would not have. The game, while being fantastic, was too short, and priced too high (in Canada, AW was priced at 69.99, in comparison, RDR is priced at 59.99). It's probably the best game I rented so far this year, but there's no way I'd buy i...

Id say they will announce a game, but most importantly, we will see their new engine, which in my opinion is much better than yet another source-based game.

While the PS3 does feature a nVidia GPU, it doesnt feature PhysX support.

Now, Im not saying HR is coming to PC or not, although I guess it would be nice for those who don<t own a PS3. It is after all a great game.

Also, if it were to come to PC, it would be nice to see just how good the game would look on the current generation GPUs and more RAM.

You mean like Ken and Phil? Change is happening on both sides, and likely is a good thing. With new people comes fresh ideas, some will be good, some not as much, but that's just how the business works.

Just like Microsoft right now, Sony's gaming division (and Sony as a whole actually) had to restructure, and they come out stronger thanks to that.
