Yeah, it is true that most games on 360/PS3 are native 720p, and sometimes lower, like SO4 for example.

However, when you look at the time SE has been working on this title, the money they have compared to smaller developpers, you would expect this one to be running in 1080p, 30 fps is fine though.

JRPGs are usually full of pre rendered scenes, have limited animation (compared to shooters or action games) and for most of them, have you fight in a smaller environment ...

How come when a 360 timed exclusive goes to the PS3, people are mad, despite the fact that the 360 owners had the game about one year ahead.

But when the PS3 loses an exclusive (like GTA, DMC, etc), it's good for all gamers, because "more people will get to enjoy the game"?

I don't really care since I already own both consoles, but I just thought it's weird seeing the double standard, despite the fact that 360 owners STILL get the game first.

The Zune, hardware wise, compares favorably against the iPod classic, it's main rival. The Zune software, again compares favorably in my opinion compared to iTunes. The one place where the Zune fails, and when I say fail, I truly mean it, is that in Canada, you can't get a zune pass (last time I checked on my zune account, I couldn'T atleast). In Canada, the Zune is just another MP3 player, with no store associated with it, you can't buy the games, no acccess to the market place, the option t...

Right now, I can't see Sony dropping some kind of physical media for the PSP, may it be the PSP2 or the PSP-4000. Sony is still struggling at getting one PSOne classic a month on the PS Store, the UMD legacy is also coming very slow. Also, they still have the PS2/3 on the shelves, and making a new handhelds which would not use game retailers for most of it's games is like asking for your products to be put in the backstore.

Oh, and by the way Sony, if you're really going with a h...

If I were SE, I'd still do 5 and 6 on DS, as the engine is already done and has proven itself. However, before being done with these, or as soon as they're done with them, they should do 7 to 9 on the PSP. Let's face it, SE will most likely never do a 7 remake on a home console, all they want to do is to make some quick cash with these titles, and the easy way to do it is by putting it on handhelds, due to low dev costs and huge install base.

However, putting 7 on the DS would be...

I do remember seeing some saying that OnLive meant the death of all console, but I also recall seeing some state that it was the end of the PS3, which I found rather amusing, considering the PS3, compared to the 360, relies much more on it's Sony exclusive titles to attract potential buyers, aswell as Blu-ray, while the 360, although it also has alot of exclusives, relies more on the quality of it's multiplatform titles (multiplatforms including PC this time around). So I really don't see how...

I think they said 1mbps would be fine, so 1.5 should work...at like 480p...also, you're right about the 720p limit, they claim you will play games like if you were playing on a "very high end machine", I'm pretty sure most people playing Crysis right now are playing it over 1080p. I sure hope they find a way to remove that limit for people with faster connection.

I'm pretty sure they already confirmed they had plans for both an access fee (think Xbox Live Gold) AND a pay per game fee, meaning you will most likely pay let's say 20$ a month (unlikely to be lower, they have to pay for the computers aswell as the broadband, and the R&D for the technology, among other things) and then pay maybe 5-10$ per game for a set period of time.

Due to the cost involved in making the tech possible and worth your while, you can't really expect OnLive ...

like it hapenned many times in the past, PS Cloud may never see the day of light. It's not unusual for big corporations like Sony or Micorsoft to patent some cool tech and to never use it. I hope it's cool and that we get to use it, but until someone at Sony says anything about it, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

You can't expect everyone to like the iPhone, as the blackberries, among other competitors also offer great products which can be superior to the iPhone for some people depending on what they use it for. The iPhone is great for casual people looking for a phone with multimedia abilities, apps and look. However, the blackberry can prove to be superior for some if not most business people.

Why the Wii for the next Monster Hunter? I'll tell you why I think they did it :

The PS2, the PSP and the Wii seem to be seen as similar concoles to alot of Japanese publishers. You often see a Wii game being on either the PSP or the PS2, as well as a PS2 game on the PSP or vice versa. The Silent Hill remake announced for the Wii has also been announced on the PSP for example, and MS:Arctic Edge is also set for a PS2 release, or so I heard. You can pretty much use the same assets...

I agree with most of what you said, however, playing the Wii on a large to very large HDTV (let's say 42" and over) doesn't really show the game on a good light. All of it's visual flaws are more visible than ever. Like I said, it's like playing your PS2 on it, it will display of course, but what you'll see won't be looking very good, the textures, the aliasing, etc.

IMO, when playing on a lrge display, Wii games will actually look better on a SDTV than on a HDTV. However, ...

I think the Wii could not handle RE5, sure, they could downscale the graphics to the level of RE4Wii, which would be perfectly fine by me, the controls would also be better, in my opinion, as I didn't really like the controls in RE5. However, if I learned one thing from Dead Rising, it's that you can't have many decent looking enemies on screen AND a good draw distance at the same time on the Wii (atleast, they failed to achieve so in DR). RE5, from what I've played, peuts you against more en...

Who cares about Saints Row 3 (though I loved the two firsts), this news should be all about the WH40K MMO! Sure, it's still like 2-3 years from now, but atleast we know that we'll finally be getting a big franchise, set in a non fantasy world, gun based MMO! About time we get something different than WoW clone. (I know Tabula Rasa was set in the future with guns too, but the franchise simply wasn't an estavlished one, leaving the game in the dust)

I can see a publisher willing to get the MK franchise, I can also see one willing to get their hands on the studio, I just can't see a publisher willing to buy the franchise and the studio. I believe it's clear to anyone that the MK team has pretty much reached it's limit as far as MK goes. I hope a new publisher gets the franchise and gives it to a more capable studio with some fresh ideas.

I don't think it would destroy the game as they most likely wouldnt be mandatory, you could simply turn them off and they wouldnt be available in every maps anyway. Also, maybe will finally stop complaining about the assault class if they are implemented, as their rcket launcher will finally have a raison detre.

I'm guessing the PS3 will stay over the Wii for a few more weeks, with Advent Children complete being released in April, however, don't count the Wii out just yet, remember that there's a Monster Hunter game being released on it, and by looking at what this franchise alone did for the PSP, only God knows what it can do for the Wii. But it's nice seeing the PS3 finally selling in it's motherland.

I get about 7-10 (no joke) emails by fake Blizzard account admin adresses, all asking me for my account info/name/password/etc, claiming I'll get suspended or banned if I don't.

To me, receiving a fake WoW email is something pretty regular, more like a continuos strike than something I could call a second or a third strike. It just never stops.

while I'm not sure, I think you need more than just an idea, a concept to get a patent.

However, if the only trademarked the name, that's something else.

But WoW's system requirements are way lower (making it easier to have a big install base), was out first (people won't leave a broken MMO they have come to like for another broken MMO), has the WarCraft franchise and the Blizzard name and as far as I know, WoW is one of the more stable MMOs (server side) and is less glitchy (although it didnt start that way).
