I think some games are in the playpass system, which means you can all play them for a low amount of cash every month, while other, usually newer games, are to be bought or rented.
You dont need to pay for both playpass and the game unless you want playpassand a game not included in it.
Atleast this is real poutine, unlike what they called poutine in south park, which basically had no cheese in it...
Actually, I'm more worried about after release cuts/upgrades, I would not want to exchange my trusty 60GB launch PS3 for some cheaper looking (my opinion anyway) non backward compatible PS3 slim. However, I also remember how I felt when they released the PSP-2000 and my old fat launch PSP model seemed so outdated.
Which means that when the NGP or the PS Vita or whatever it ends up being called launches, I, like many, will have to make a decision, do we buy it now and hope...
I would like to know how EA knows it's shifting away from CoD, I mean, Black Ops sold more than MW2, which sold more than the previous CoD. I'll actually believe people are leaving CoD for another shooter when CoD's sales actually go down, not when they go up.
Anyway, BF3 seems like a great game, I'll be sure to buy it on PC, but claiming it will sell more than MW3 is positive thinking at best. I guess EA forgot how Black Ops sold more than MoH and BF:BC2 comb...
Windows 8 is coming soon because Microsoft needs it as soon as possible. They need to come up with a viable option for the tablet market and it seems Windows 7, as good as it is as a PC OS, just doesn't cut it in the tablet market. I'd expect a longer development cycle for Windows 9, but like I said, MS didn't have a choice for W8.
I guess I'll rent it first then. But when it comes to co-op games, my friends and I are rather forgiving, considering there are so few of them.
Duke Nukem Forever (BoSE of course), Hunted the demon's forge if the reviews are decent, F3AR, again, if the reviews are decent and Dungeon Siege 3, once more, if the reviews are decent. Basically, DNF and anything decent enough with local co-op.
I'm glad to see this feature in UC3. I hope more co-op games add this on PS3. With the rise of cloud gaming, this is something needed, as it will allow people to go to their firend's place, play a game and transfer the progress made in their own game once they get back home.
Although, I do wonder why Sony did not push this from the start like Microsoft did (for those without a 360, you can upload your account in another Xbox, and each player can have his own XBL accou...
They should've put them in the game (PC version at least) with some imrpovements (so they actually run), just like Valve did with CS:CZ, when they scrapped the single player portion but included it as deleted scenes.
Isn't there a high probability of a lawsuit from SE, considering IO interactive made a game called Mini Ninjas? I understand there's no "s" in this game's title, but I can see why SE could still try a lawsuit, due to the possible confusion.
Maybe June seemed like a good window for their launch. Fall puts them closer to the holiday season, which could potentially mean higher sales. Summer usually seems like the dead season in video games, June being the exception.
No, I'm saying that BF3 will surely have the graphical advantage from what we know and what we've seen of both games. But that doesn't change the fact that both games are very different gameplay wise. What makes a game good or bad is, in my opinion, the gameplay, not the graphics (unless they are horrible of course). Both CoD and BF excel in gameplay, but their offerings are quite dirrefent and will appeal to different people.
Look at last year, I thought BF:BC2 l...
So basically, the author of this article thinks BF3 is superior to MW3, because he basically never liked CoD's MP. The author also seems to believe that CoD began with the first Modern Warfare, since he mentions that the MP has barely changed since CoD:Classic; which means he either thinks CoD began with CoD4, or he simply ignores all the changes that were made between CoD3 and CoD4.
The author also says that the addition of tanks/choppers is one of the thing that makes ...
They called it underwhelming hardware, because this phone, which is supposed to be a gaming-oriented smartphone, is less powerful than some phones already on the market, like the LG Optimus X2. It has less memory and is powered by a relatively low clocked single core CPU.
If smartphones had their specs compared to dedicated handheld gaming devices, about 80-90% of them would be much more powerful than the 5-6 years old PSP/NDS. It's a smartphone, and most of the games it...
Let me guess, there won't be a guest mode either for the multiplayer?
Treyarch's CoDs don't feel as good as IW's ones, but atleast they are packed with some nice features for those of us who want to play some good ol' couch co-op.
I guess they chose Kal-El, as they have chosen to go with their "real" names as opposed to their super hero names (Kal-El, Wayne, Logan and Stark, as opposed to Superman, Batman, Wolverine and Iron Man).
And, well, a codename is a codename, they probably simply thought it'd be cool to go with super heros and that it would make their chips look powerful or something.
@JoelT, I doubt nVidia will be putting Stark in the PS4, the Tegra line-up is m...
Isn't that when they [the hackers] win? They're like terrorists, they have little means and are going after a giant corporation with plenty of money, but hacking (just like suicide bombing) is one way for the little guy to hurt the big guy. Sony getting out of the game business would be like the US capitulating the war on terror.
Well, since the author has not put any context to this quote, I won't either. Maybe the CFO meant that over the last 11 years, Gameloft's game catalogue has been mostly ignored by 40 years old women from the mid-west. Without a context, you can't tell if he wanted to say that they have no intention of making games to appeal to this market or if their attempts have all failed.
Also, you have to consider that lately, Gameloft has made it clear that their business pl...
The bigs news about Windows 8 is SoC support, although I suppose there will also be improvements for us X86 users.
I'm pretty sure it does not include a PS3, the PS Move and the PSEye.
You do get the TV, a copy of Resistance 3 and one pair of glasses. It's still a very good deal mind you.
