Funny how you mention this, as on iTunes (in Canada atleast) there is actually a "remembering Amy Winehouse" link that leads to what I presume to be her discography.

@Rush

We know the two heads of IW left, and were followed by some key members, however, we don't know how many stayed with IW, and it's most likely not only Robert Bowling who stayed at IW.

Furthermore, CoD has become somewhat of a money making machine, with or without IW, CoD will go on, developed by new teams who will try their best to create a new game based on CoD4's gameplay elements within a two year window.

It's not like there's a limit to the number of conventions you can have (although I guess that having more than one a day could be a bit too much).

So what if CoD gets one, if they think it's a good idea, why not?

Oh, and as far as Madden goes, I'd say that Madden itself doesn't need a dedicated convention, just go to a football game!

Still not nearly as messed up as the smartphone market though.

I find Call of Juarez disturbing as well, but not for the same reasons. To think a major publisher like Ubisoft, and Techland (the developer of the upcoming and quite promising Dead Island) would release such a rushed game is quite disturbing to me.

So, I wonder, why is it so hard for them to make a new Burnout Revenge?

Burnout 1 and 2 were rather boring (to me), the 3rd was great, Revenge was better, and then it all went downhill (again, to me). Dominator was a throwback and Paradise, while fun, did not have the Traffic attack mode, which I loved in Revenge.

And now, Burnout Crash, looks like a cheap game to keep the brand alive. Although I'll play before judging it.

And, as far as...

Oh EA, guess you've never changed afterall. Not only do you want us to buy your sports games every year, as you are, now more than ever it seems, shutting down online services for your older sports games, you also want us to buy them new, or we'll have to pay you an online pass, and now you want us to pay for a subscription?

Considering the fact that most of your games are little more than small upgrades over the previous game, I'd hope you'd atleast a free up...

Maybe 10 years, unlikely to be more than that.

Yay! I really don't care about it being a port, as anyone who has a PSP porbably knows that the Vita will likely be filled with console ports. While I'd like a new IP or atleast new games for my Vita, D3 is one game I never bothered to buy on the PS3 because I prefer to play these games on the go, so, I'm pretty happy if D3 does make it to the Vita, just hope they also bring the 4th one, as I have no intention of buying on the PS3...

And, how would you do that? I can see the big publishers try to enfore such a thing with Gamestop and Bestbuy, but it would be nearly impossible to enforce in smaller venues like most mom and pops stores. Now, if you can't enforce it everywhere, I highly doubt Gamestop and Bestbuy would be inclined to be at a disadvantage.

@Tru_Blu

Except, in MW3 you likely won't be bombing NYC, this probably won't be a "no russian" mission, you'll likely be an American on american soil while the Russians or whoever you are fighting are bombing the city.

So, a game in which you attack an holocaust camp would likely be okay, depending on how you do it.

There's a difference between fighting against someone doing something and going it yourself. And last ...

To be fair, he's simply saying that customers are not willing to pay 60$ up front for a game, which to me, considering he's from EA, likely means selling you a disc for 40-50$, then telling you 25% of the game's content was removed from the disc, ask you 30-20$ for the content as DLC.

Activision knows people are willing to pay 15$ for 5 maps, they know it because they've been doing it for a few years now, and while there was an outrage when the first DLC was announced for CoD4, people are now used to pay 15$ for a map pack for every CoD titles.

This means one thing, their customers, or atleast a majority of them, think that 15$ is a fair price for what you get, and quite frankly, seeing how many hours many people are spending on every CoD, it's ha...

Well, that also could be because some places have legislation that would force a company like Activision to submit their contests to each place's laws, even if they only have a few people playing CoD in that particular region. If you take Quebec, in Canada, many contests held in Canada are not held in Quebec, because Quebec has very specific laws regarding this matter. So, if a Canadian company can't bother doing it in Quebec, don't expect an american one to do so globally.

If you actually read the article, you would know the hacking part is very small, and they are not referring to the pre-hack Sony, but rather the golden days of Sony, back when everyone had a Walkman, a Sony TV, etc.

There are GFWL games on Steam, you launch them from Steam and they have you log in to Live once in the game, I don't see why EA can't do the same. Also, the game will be on sale on D2D, which allows you to launch your games using Comrade, which is similar to Steam.

I doubt it will be very good, considering IGN's latest preview of this game was quite negative; now, I know it's IGN and all, but they're usually very positive in their previews, even when the game turns out bad and they bash it in their review of said game.

Anyway, when you get a negative preview, it's a pretty bad sign. And from what I've seen of the game, somewhat subpar graphics (they aren't that bad) are probably the last of Ubi's problem with...

Deathrow would be nice, so would a NHL Hitz game. But this list is pretty good, still hoping for a new Panzer Dragoon game.

And while it wasn't a GOTY contender, I do believe MS could bring back Brute Force.

But CnC Generals had nothing to do with CnC, the gameplay was different, the unit production system was different, the interface was changed, and if I'm not mistaken, even the mouse buttons were inversed compared to previous CnC in order to be like in SC and WC.

Most CnC games had over the top units, something CnC Generals mostly ignored, basically no FMVs, with the exception of the overly boring reporters. And, my biggest gripe about CnC Zero Hour, they stopped patching...

Good article, although, to me, CnC ended with Renegade, as CnC Generals, while a good game, didn't have anything to do with the CnC series with the exception of the name, gone was the sidebar, and the game basically played like a modern-era StarCraft thanks to its builders.
