But Uncharted 1 didn't have a MP component. The SP gameplay in UC2 was similar to UC1 (and that's a good thing too).
And anyway, I think CoD should be treated like sports game, there's one every year and the gameplay is tweaked a little bit but never really changed. What I don't understand is why most people have accepted the fact that we will have a new Madden every year at full price, but are outraged when CoD does it.
Well, while I want a release date, I do care about the expansion, since LoD was such a great expansion and added so much content (same with other Blizzard games' expansions, like TFT or BW).
So yeah, I'd like to know when the game will come out, but knowing it will get an expansion is also something relevant to my interest.
While there's no way I'll be buying this tablet or the other one Sony has announced (the foldable one), I applaud Sony for trying something different in the design of their tsblets. I mean, let's face it, the iPad is the best selling tablet, not only because it has the Apple logo on it, but also because it has the best build quality, design and so far, the best software (W8 for tablet or Icecream Sandwich could change that though). While most companies have been trying to copy the...
how do you make CS for consoles?
Well, for one, you don't make it like that horrible CS for Xbox. For two, it would seem you need to lower the player count. And finally, you make sure people know this is not CS2, but rather a spin-off of CS, in order to avoid the Condition Zero backlash when the game releases and it doesn't feel like CS 1.6.
Hopefully, with this being a PS2 game ported to the Vita and not the PSP, it will be the complete version of P4 and some more, as opposed to a trimmed version of P4 with bonus (like P3P for the PSP).
Either way, I'll be buying it, as I love the entire SMT series.
@Biggest
The Dreamcast had a very short life, few games, but many of these got great reviews (Soul Calibur got a 10 from Gamespot, and a few other titles also got rave reviews, like JGR). Remember, he only took the top 20 titles, if a console were to get 20 awesome games but only thse 20 games, it could still be ranked number 1 in this article.
As for the 10 reviews rule, it's understandable, as many games didn't get hundreds of reviews compiled in Ga...
In the article, it is clearly said that digital releases are not taken in consideration, he took the top 20 RETAIL releases for each console.
@xtremxx, if this were from any other publisher, maybe, but since gamers seem to be quite upset with SE these days, not sure they'd side with them over anything. Same applies with Activision.
@NathanExplosion
If BF3 sells better than MW3, other developers will simply make poor man's BF clones in order to cash in on the success of the next big thing. You'll have many SP oriented games that will add a poorly designed MP component that will feature big maps, vehicles and some ammount of destruction, hoping to get some sales from the BF fans.
EA will notice just how much money they can make with Battlefield, will rename the next MoH to Battle...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Siren an horror title developed by Sony Japan studios?
Well, 20% seems reasonable, certainly more than when earlier this year some EA execs said BF3 would beat CoD in sales anyway...
I know physical controls are better, but Godchild said smartphones would not have better looking games than Uncharted for Vita, which I don't believe to be true.
I disagree, in my opinion, Resistance:FOM was a much better game than Resistance 2 and Retribution, it looked better, played better, had a better online component, better story, etc.
If anything, with the exception of R3 (since I haven't played it), I'd say that if you've seen Resistance Fall of man, you've seen all that needed to be seen (I'll say it again, this excludes R3 since it's not out yet).
I tried the demo, and in my opinion, the game is awful. The graphics were definately subpar, mostly the textures. The controls felt a bit too loose to me, let's just say they definately don't feel as responsive as CoD's (say what you want about CoD, but the controls feel very responsive) and the shooting felt somewhat unsatisfying.
On the bright side, the destruction was nice.
Believe me, you will see games that look much better than the Uncharted they are developing for the Vita on smartphones by the time the Vita is 3 years old, or even less. Now, these games probably won't work nearly as well due to a lack of physical buttons, but saying we won't see a better looking game (unless you only meant Uncharted, in which case, yeah, we probably won't see a better looking uncharted game on a phone, since there won't be any...) on a platform with ever evo...
But it does run on W7 (well, the concept Switchblade they showed did), and is expected to run PC games, not games specially designed with its specs in mind, like a game console.
If an Atom CPU can't run Starcraft 2 or Call of Duty properly, don't expect it to run any better on the Switchblade. And what's the point of having such a cool concept, designed specifically for gaming, it it's not going to play the most popular games available at half decent settings ...
The concept is quite interesting, the main problem with this gaming oriented device, is the fact that ever since it was revealed, Razer has claimed it would be powered by Intel Atom processors, which are a joke, even office tasks are a pain on even the latest dual core version of the Atom CPUs...
Unless the Switchblade gets specs at least comparable to the Alienware M11x, it's nothing more than a cool but hardly useful concept.
Call of Duty titles sell millions of copies every year, the last 2 CoD titles have sold more copies than the Battlefield franchise, which would be it's biggest competitor. For the last two years (and maybe more), CoD titles have been the biggest seller of the year. It doesn't need to justify its relevance in the game industry.
That doesn't mean they're the best games around, but these numbers do mean one thing, CoD doesn't need to prove it's relevant. ...
Well, I guess the next generation could be a step in that direction, but for that one console would need to have a better camera than the Kinect (which is already a major improvement over the PS3ye) and a more robust Move/Wiimote-like controller with better precision, either more buttons or a better placement for them, and a way to do away with the awful calibration and controller/console bonding (last time I tried playing Dead Space extraction on the PS3 with the move and a friend, took us a...
It worked no problem for me (and I'm in Quebec). By the way, have you tried adding a "z" to the code? I had to add on esince the code given in the article is incomplete.
