If CS:GO is comparable to COD or BF3 in terms of gameplay, and by that I mean it adopts a completely different gameplay from CS 1.6, I'll be left wondering why they even bothered calling it Counter-Strike.
Anyway, best of luck to Valve and whoever is developing the game (I think I read it's not being developed in house), because expectations are going to be high, and I'm pretty sure CS fans don't want another cheap console CS (like the Xbox version of CS) nor ...
Nice list. While this game would be the opposite of the games in the list, Urban Chaos : riot response seems fitting in a way.
Here's the thing, when a game is set to be released on console, the demo allows you to see if the game runs well and if it's actually worth buying/renting or not. On PC, due to the numerous possible configuration of your machine, a demo will also let you know if you can run the game at all.
Of course, if you have a state of the art gaming PC, chances are you will be able to play the game, but even then, mostly due to the fact that most developers port their games from...
How is it the better option? I mean, is there any advantage to play PS2 games on the PS2 rather than on the 60GB/20GB launch PS3s?
Edit
I don't see how my sentence makes no sense. You said that playing PS2 games on the PS2 is a better than playing them on the PS3, and I asked how it was any better. You and I never mentioned when PS2 games were played; by the way you commented, I assumed you meant that still to this day PS2 games play better on the PS2, and asked y...
Yeah, an Alpha Centauri game without Sid Meier, how exciting... I hope they don't ruin it like they ruined the CnC franchise after letting go most of the staff from WWS.
It'd be pretty hard for all of them to be updated, mostly this year, since there's been so many new themes recently with Otunga and Mcgillicunt taking Gabriel's new theme, Slater taking the one he used when with Gabriel, Gabriel obviously having an even newer one, Punk changing his theme last month to the one he used in ROH, Ziggler finally taking Downstait's "I am perfection", etc.
I'm only disappointed by the fact that the KoW most likely won...
@Mario
Something EA has obviously never done, oh wait, EA Sports has been making Madden, FIFA and NHL games on a yearly basis for as long as I can remember, but I guess that's okay since it's not Activision.
And if you think it's different because they're sports game, fine, let's take a look at EA's FPS set in either WW2 or the modern era (like CoD titles), seems like EA has basically been releasing a similar amount of games as Activis...
I usually don't use my mic on either my PS3 or my 360, I sometimes use it on PC for some games, and usually only when playing with people I know. I'm not a lone wolf in disguise, I just don't feel like speaking with you.
Except Prey was developed by Humanhead studios. 3DR's Prey had been put on hold years before, HHS took their ideas and made the game with their support. The game was not fully made by 3DR.
While Prey was not developed by 3DR, when you look at the early footage of their version of Prey, it shows how talented once was.
Makes sense, considering Black Ops sold so much. Although I do agree that a stand alone CoD zombie game would make sens at some point. and, @Laypoof, you can't blame Activision for milking it, they're in the business to make money, like any other publisher by the way, and like you said, people still buy it every year, so they've got no reason not to milk it while it lasts.
Call of Duty is the franchise every publisher dreams of, it's a somewhat low-cost to dev...
So basically, with the exception of BF2142, it's either games that were on Steam summer sales at a similar price or Sims expansion packs, I guess I still don't need Origin.
Moreover, I didn't see a promo section, and had to go through the entire Origin PC library to find the games, not that big of a problem, but definately something that should be changed in the future.
But mobile GPUs can also find their way in smartphones like the Xperia Play, which actually has physical buttons. Also interesting, if what he says is true, by the end of 2012 or in 2013, smartphones and tablets could be more powerful than the 3DS and the Vita CPU and GPU wise (as smartphones adn tablets already have much more RAM than any of these systems).
If HTC or Smasung (or any other Android phone manufacturer) were to release a smartphone similar to the Xperia Play in ...
Hmm, but plenty of good games had dual-wielding, Duke Nukem 3D had (with one weapon), Goldeneye and Perfect Dark also had dual wielding, Counter Strike has one weapon with DW (although it mostly sucks), Halo was still a great game despite having DW, etc.
Of all things, why did RAM have to be cut? And, am I the only one who's somewhat worried about the fact that today's smartphones and tablets (including those made by Sony Ericsson) have more RAM than the Vita?
Anyway, if developers say it'll be fine, I hope it's true, can't wait to get my hands on the Vita.
I'm pretty sure you can buy the DLC in-game with your Steam copy of the game, although I could be wrong.
Of course EA games will still appear on Steam at release. Then they'll put some DLC, won't allow it to be on the Steam client and will ask you to go through the process of buying your DLC in-game, Valve will tell them it's against their policy to do so, remove the game from Steam, EA will then continue to do what they have begun to do with DA2 and Crysis 2 and blame Steam for removing their game, pretending they didn't know that this would be a breach of contract. They will th...
Except the iPad does much more than gaming, I for one think that gaming on the iPad is a mediocre experience, and I'd much rather play my iDevice games on my iPod touch. The iPad is nice for reading, web surfing (on Flash-less website of course) and can also be used for for school/work when you don't have your laptop at hand.
The Vita, just like the 3DS and the PSP, is a gaming device, gaming on it will likely be a very pleasant experience, however, doing anything els...
So basically, most regions (if not all) where the Wii is on sale, will get this game, including English-speaking ones like the UK and Australia, however, North America, usually considered to be the biggest market, will not.
Well, way to conquer back the core gamers Nintendo, I totally feel like buying the Wii U for it's sure to be promising JRPG library now...
So, it's basically a Dynasty Warrior-like game? Might be worth a look I guess.
Well, there's more than that, like the fact that Blizzard is currently creating it's own DotA map for SC2.
But really, I hope DotA2 proves to be great, as I really can only get myself to play one of these games (Demigod, HoN, LoL, etc) and I would like it if all of my friends and I were playing the same one... since as of right now I mostly play LoL, but still have to play some HoN since some of my friends prefer HoN over LoL...
Anyway, I'm pretty...
