Why do noobs that don't like realistic military simulators even get to review this game? The fact that he never once mentions its direct competitor ArmA II or doesn't mention Bohemia Interactive (the creators of the original Operation Flashpoint) tells me that he has never played military simulators before and thus is not qualified in any sense of the word to review this game.

Something's either wrong with your network connection, or your attention span. Because whenever I enter a que, it never takes more than a minute or two at MOST to join a game. In the meantime, while I'm waiting for a game to commence, I can always go into the barracks or armoury and tweak my skills and weapons, and look at my stats, etc.

I'm in the MAG beta, and all I can say is don't bash it until you've played it for yourself. That's all I'm going to say.
Extremely different games. One has more than 10x times the number of players supported per map, and probably has a much deeper ranking and customization system. The other is more of a traditional run-and-gun, CQB multiplayer FPS.
I'll take this over MODERN NOOBFARE 2 any day of the week.

Just graphics? Obviously, you didn't do your research (not surprising consider you're an Xbox fanboy), but aside from the drastic improvement in graphics (almost generational difference) there's also new weapons, enemies, characters, and an online cooperative mode.

There's a difference between conspiracy and general BIAS in the media. For example, it's no big conspiracy or mystery that Fox News is conservatively biased, while MSNBC is liberal-biased. Media bias does in fact exist; this much is indisputable.

Haven't you seen the comparison pics? HUGE difference in graphical polish and detail, with much better textures, lighting/HDR effects, higher polygonal detail, and depth of field effects. And, it runs at full 720p, unlike the sub-HD 360 version.
This isn't even mentioning the new characters, new enemies, new weapons, and the new cooperative online mode.
The difference is, N4G doesn't write reviews that are counted in the Metacritic averages.
The PS3 already does support MKV, basically; you just need to tinker around a bit with the file format. There's a program called MKV2VOB, and it only takes about 2 minutes to convert any MKV file into a video that's totally playable by the PS3.

You are correct about Operation Flashpoint 2 possibly being too slow for most gamers; because it is a shame that most gamers are inexperienced noobs that first started playing shooters in the Halo 2 era. Some people will say in defense of Modern Warfare 2 that it and Operation Flashpoint are in two separate genres. I don't really see it that way; I see them both as being military shooters, except one is just a much deeper and more realistic experience. I think more people who enjoy Call of Duty would enjoy this game than you might think, if they would only give the game a try when it comes out.
But that fact that the 360's "drop-dead" rates are only at a 60:40 advantage over the PS3 (in this particular UK repair shop, at least) is interesting. Kind of makes you wonder a little bit about the relative prevalence of both the PS3 and 360's defect rates.
