Oh okay, thanks for clearing it up. At least you're not doing another 360 vs PS3 thing; nobody really cares about the PC ;)
Is there any other HD footage of the PS3 version of the game out there? Preferably the single player mode?
Everyone knows, based on prior article history, that MCV UK is a massively biased fanboy website. And we all know what system that is which they are biased FOR.
The ability to switch R1/R2 with L1/L2 is SWEET!
This product really really interests me, as a hardcore FPS player. I'm extremely interested in the fact that this controller uses high-quality ALPS analog potentiometers (presumably similar to the ones used in the official DualShock 3). That has always been the achilles heel/disadvantage of using other, cheaper 3rd-party controllers--the poor quality of the analog sticks that have the huge amounts of deadzone rendering them...
Oooooh, the ACR is now in the game! Kick ass. Too bad it's for Valor; I would think it would be for Raven.
The screenshots are so detailed, that they look like CONCEPT ART!
All these screens are captured in-game, right? No bullshots?
It's a shame that this game will tank on the PS3. Between it being late and releasing so incredibly close to COD: Black Ops, there's basically no hope for its success. I was really looking forward to the game also, but now I'm doubting whether I'll buy it since it doesn't look like the community/players will be there.
Not to mention it's coming out right ahead of Black Ops, which is basically going to be the SAME THING, except MUCH, much better and fe...
Well, the review also stated, "neither does it out-do contemporary titles," in addition to it not leveraging the history of the Castlevania franchise. The reviewer is basically saying that, not only does it fail to tap the history and legend of Castlevania, but it's also a mediocre game in and of itself.
The Move controls seem terrible, but man, how good does MAG look now after a crapload of patches, tweaks, and improvements implemented by Zipper since the game first came out? It looks like a really solid FPS now; I may have to get back into the game.
3D TVs aren't even that expensive. I've seen 73" 3D-ready HDTVs for around $1000.
More modestly sized 3D Plasmas and LCDs would be cheaper than that.
The flaw in your argument is that Dragon Age was arguably better on the PS3 than the 360 (according to various comparison websites).
Not to mention the fact that, unlike Dragon Age, Mass Effect runs on the UNREAL engine, which we already know for a fact runs well on the PS3.
Can this site make their screenshots any smaller? Because I don't think I'm being forced to squint hard enough.
You should take some programming courses if you're interested in game development. No sense on giving up on that route because you don't think you have the patience or intelligence for it, because learning to program on your own is different from taking courses on programming and learning it the right way.
This article wasn't done by "Hardcore Sony fans." It was done by the writer who is probably an Xbox fan (look at his past articles).
This test is probably so biased, that they took old PS3 Slims they had lying around that are probably several months old, and compared it to brand-new Xbox 360 S's that they bought last month or less. So freaking BIASED.
We STILL aren't even sure Microsoft has finally put out a working piece of hardware.
Just because they compared old PS3's they had lying around to brand-new Xbox 360 S's that they just recently bought, is no indicator that the new 360's are reliable in the LONG TERM. LONG TERM reliability is what matters here; the Xbox 360 S is still newly manufactured hardware, only a month old. What happens if in a year, many 360 S's start dying after some long-term, ext...
It doesn't even have a bigger user base in the US, let alone the rest of the world. Which is why I'm confused by the article's statement.
That's why they're making glasses-less 3D TVs. Some manufacturers are actually already selling preliminary models of these sets to consumers, but the viewing angle is very narrow, and the price is still high. It'll take some more time before better techniques spring up and prices come down, but eventually such 3D televisions will come of age.
I know I'll be getting a glasses-less 3D TV as soon as they start making one at an even semi-reasonable price.
Developments like this are great for the 3D in general, as well as the PS3 and Sony's push for 3D gaming. Multiple display and hardware manufacturers are coming up with new technologies that will enable glasses-less 3D video and gaming, now including Microsoft's R&D department.
Technologies such as this and others will be a boon for eventual mainstream adoption of 3D television as well as the 3D gaming on the PS3. As soon as they come out with a glasses-less 3D te...
Um, have you heard of Avatar? That movie made 3 billion dollars, and it's in spite of all these supposed four-eyed people. I'm pretty sure that 3D is going to do pretty freaking well for itself despite some people not being entirely comfortable with it.
Just because you're biased against Sony and want to discount their products in any way possible, doesn't mean you have to exaggerate or distort the truth.
What I really meant was no one cares about the PC in terms of system war arguments; it's usually the irrelevant platform; the main two platforms everyone cares about is usually PS3 versus 360.
But since we're in a feisty mood, I'll take a little jab and say this. Have fun playing against wallhacks and aimbots on your PC copy of Black Ops! ;)
