Piracy = less revenue for the developers on the platform = Less commitment and focus on the platform by the developers.
Modern Warfare 2 is 90 degrees FOV in WIDESCREEN 16:9 aspect ratio.
It's 65 degrees FOV in FULLSCREEN 4:3 aspect ratio.
Get your facts straight.
The PS3 is the clear loser? I don't think so. The PS3 version has FSAA while the 360 version has no AA (more jaggies); also, in most of the screenshots, it seems as though the PS3 version has more contrast and deeper colors.
Once again, Digital Foundry proves themselves to be consisting of mostly 360-biased fanboys, and 360 defenders/apologists. This is a flawed comparison, and as usual they are CLEARLY short-changing the PS3 version on several levels, making it seem worse than it really is.
Here's the proof of their fanboy bias:
1.) Digital Foundry claims that the PS3 version "completely lacks a bloom effect." This is ABSOLUTELY 100% FALSE/UNTRUE/INCORRECT. Here's a screenshot...
As a long time console FPS and veteran joystick user, I've long held the opinion now that the PS3 controller is a better controller for FPS. Sure, the 360 has a more ergonomic analog stick layout and better-feeling triggers, but I feel where the Dualshock 3 really benefits me is in the overall smoothness and precision of the analog sticks. The PS3's analog sticks simply feel smoother, more precise, and have a wider range of motion than the 360's analog sticks, and I feel this would give me th...
It ISN'T associated with girls?
I might be wrong, but isn't the literal definition of c**t a vulgar reference to female genitalia (vagina)? I'm checking a dictionary right now...
Great game. Would like it if it supported 32 players rather than 24 though.
The physics and destruction aren't quite at the level and scale of Red Faction: Guerilla like I thought it'd be.
The PS3 version is clearly the winner in at least one very quantifiable aspect, and that is in texture detail.
Take a particularly close look at textures on the turret gun in the following screenshot; the PS3 version very noticeably shows that the textures on the turret gun are CLEARER, more DETAILED, and of higher resolution than the 360's turret gun. The numbers on the gun are rendered in higher resolution, and thus are more legible:
"...that’s what Uncharted 2 doesn’t do. There are no risks associated with that game at all. They played it completely safe. They took things that they knew were accepted and people loved and build it into one game. And that’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with that. But you can’t expect a score of a 9.8 or a 9.5 and higher if you’re doing something like that." - Shane Satterfield, Editor in Chief

Gametrailers penalized Uncharted 2 on scoring based upon its alleged lack of originality. Yet that didn't stop them from inexplicably giving MW2 a higher score.
I originally had absolutely no problem at all with the score GT gave Uncharted 2 (9.3), but where exactly is the consistency in scoring rubric? They'll have a very tough time convincing any intelligent human being that MW2 (essentially COD4.5) is as original as )let alone more original than) Uncharted 2 is; and while Unch...
It's not my website.
You say that the website just offers screenshots without "explaining them," but that's actually the LEAST biased way to present comparison images and videos. I much rather have a website present images to me so that I can analyze and compare them MYSELF without the possibility of a bias or agenda.
When you have a website like Lens of Truth providing an "analysis," there's way too much room for things like bias, or human error,...
Why don't you take a look at my screenshot proof, and respond to them in a logical manner, point by point? Rather than resort to namecalling, proving yourself to be an overly emotion fanboy with a biased agenda.
I guess debating with facts and logic has never been a strong suit of Xbox fans. They don't seem like the smartest kids around.
I also find it comical that 360 fans such as yourself pretend like graphics don't matter at all, when it comes to graphical powerho...
ALSO: Here's another screenshot comparison showing BETTER, more prominent BLOOM/OVERBRIGHT/GLOW effects on the PS3 version:

Not to mention that the Lens of Truth staff mentions the "smoother shadows" of the 360 version, but neglects to mention that the PS3 version's shadows appear to be sligh...
In the following screenshot comparison, you can plainly see that the PS3 version features more detailed texture quality on some surfaces (note the metal stove on the right side of the screen, revealing significantly sharper texture detail on the PS3).

Actually, I've personally felt for a long time that the PS3 controller was the superior controller for shooters; this is speaking as veteran FPS gamer on both consoles and PC.
While I do somewhat prefer the 360's analog stick layout (the left stick being higher than the right stick), I much prefer the PS3's smoother, more precise analog sticks. It's the simple truth that the PS3's analog sticks are smoother, feature a LARGER range of motion, and a less prominent feeling of analog...
Yeah, I never thought from the very beginning that Valve was actually insulting the PS3's community itself. They were talking about the 360 having community and communications features that put it "heads and shoulders above the PS3," although I really have to take exception to that assertion.
Is the lack of cross-game voice chat really that HUGE of a deal that puts the 360's community features "heads and shoulders" above the PS3? Sure, it would be a cool featu...
Just because the PS3 version looks brighter and has different black levels than the 360 version, doesn't mean it's worse. In general, it appears that most PS3 titles have brighter black levels than their 360 counterparts; at this point, I would have to assume that this is an intentional trait of the PS3's video output, and that the PS3 version is probably actually the more ACCURATE in terms of proper image calibration and reproduction, especially when viewed on a television. An image/output t...
I'm all for freedom of speech and expression, but if you're going to make a f***ing joke--if you're going to say something silly and funny--then why can't you use something that isn't a hurtful and pernicious word for certain groups of people (especially certain groups of people that you're not personally a part of). Why use the word "f**" or the word "n***er" when you KNOW that these words are historically loaded with a lot of hatred and pain behind them for certain group...
That's interesting. They gave Halo ODST a 9/10.
Yet Killzone 2, considered by many publications one of the best shooters of 2009, and a veritable GOTY contender, only gets a 7/10. Same score as Section 8, by the way (reviewed back when it was a 360 exclusive).
