I already have Skyrim pre-ordered, and it's still more than 8 months away from release. I just hope that the PS3 port is at least decent, and doesn't suck ass royally. That about all I can hope for as a PS3 gamer, from a multiplatform game.

Hopefully, Bethesda really is committed to making the PS3 version look great, and this isn't just more typical developer BS.

Why would I care what Matt Damon from The Informant thinks?

I agree with those who say that getting $20 off from Amazon and Walmart is a much better deal than Rip-Off City (Gamestop), but still, I would expect a bigger presence at a midnight launch just based on dumb people who aren't deal-conscious like we are.

Doubtful that it's indicative of poor sales (at least for KZ3), but you never know.

Nonsense? If Spielberg and Hollywood were to donate all profits from that film to CHARITY, or a veteran relief fund, or some of the known Holocaust victims' families, THEN I'd say it's nonsense. Otherwise, the Dead Island trailer is no more commercially exploitative/malicious than Spielberg's Oscar-winning, critically-revered film.

Can you explain why PROFITING off imagery of dying people and the emotional response evoked in the audience is more acceptable in ...

A zombified little girl was shot in the head within the first 2 minutes of the 1st episode of The Walking Dead.

OUTRAGE, I TELL YOU, (self-righteous) OUTRAGE!

F***ing hypocritical, high horse-riding, politically-correct jackasses, people in America today are (and I'm sure in the UK as well).

Because the self-righteous, short-sighted, politically-correct blogger who just had a child (daughter, no less) thinks you should.

Schindler's List was the exploitation of 6 million dead Jews, for the sake of selling movie tickets and making millions of dollars in box office and DVD/VHS sales.

And even worse, that exploitation was based in historical fact, rather than a fictitious little CGI girl that only exists in an artist's imagination.

And yet Schindler's List won 7 Academy Awards for that. Despicable, isn't it?

Really interesting and curious that it's EA's decision to not show/promote the PS3 version of Crysis 2. We've all probably been along the same line of thought that EA were really big PS3 supporters. Maybe Sony's marketers discussed this w/ EA's, and decided that they didn't want Crysis 2 to detract/distract from the hype and sales of Killzone 3... and in one fell swoop, simultaneously pandering the game to the 360 fans to boost sales, seeing as the 360 is probably more...

The zombie genre should be a little fresher to PS3 owners, considering they haven't had a L4D title land on their system (yet).

I've had this game on my (tentatively) most-antipcated list for a LONG time... ever since it was announced in 2007. Very pleased to hear that it's coming for PS3 as well, and in 2011. Cannot wait to get my hands on this one.

Hopefully Respawn is making a concerted effort to get their new project's engine to run and look amazing on the PS3. FWIW, God of War 3 is one of the most awe-inspiring technical accomplishments and showcases I've seen in recent years.

Lmao at the part where he uses "Asian stubborness and clumsiness" as a critique of the PS3 and Japanese-made hardware in general. It doesn't seem like ethnic sensitivity/awareness is a huge part of everyday Russian culture or consciousness.

Such a well-written article, btw. It's like some random 15-year old fanboy on the Internet suddenly got a ginormous ego and decided to become a philosopher.

Saying that players won't miss the free-roam aspect of previous Crytek titles, Crysis 1 and Far Cry 1, is really naive, considering the free-roam aspect, and huge open battlefields/enviornments, were what set them apart from other FPS titles.

Take that away, and all you have left is another Call of Duty wannabe or Halo clone.

Lol @ the well-deserved fail at the end.

Multiplayer is where the meat is for this game anyway. I was never that impressed with the narrative and dialog of the Killzone series, so even a ~5 hours, it's good enough for a quick thrill before jumping straight back into multiplayer.

Now, if you really want a lengthy, deep single player/campaign experience, keep on the look out for the following games this year:

-Deus Ex 3 (I've heard ~25 hours long)
-Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
-RAGE...

Sounds like the author is one big-time, bitter PS3 hater. Specifically pointing the finger at "PS3 fanboys" who "eat, sleep, and breathe everything Playstation." Could you make it a little more obvious that you hate PS3 and PS3 fans, please?

Lol @ one of the tags for the article being "Playstation fail."

Take a look at the video at the 01:28 mark.

In addition to better lighting, the PS3 version's character textures are CLEARLY sharper. Take a look at the video starting at 01:28--Jacob's jacket textures are undeniably sharper and more well-defined on the PS3.

Simple solution: Don't buy used consoles.

Even before the PS3 was hacked, it was a risk to buy a used PS3 because you don't know if it was a YLOD-resurrected console that someone sloppily dissected and fixed temporarily, only to YLOD again after a few weeks/months of use.

These are the reasons I don't trust used videogame consoles, and try to avoid buying them as much as I can, unless it's really, really cheap, or an officially refurbished ite...

Correction: Input Lag is NOT the same as Deadzone.

Deadzone - The amount of "dead" area on a joystick or analog stick, either inherent in the individual game programming or the mechanical design of the device itself, that does not respond to player movement. An example of this would be that, in a game with a high amount of deadzone, the player would be forced to press the joystick further in a direction before it causes movement on screen. Games with higher deadzone...
