Actually, most of the Carbines got BUFFED after the last patch. Not to mention, with the Heavy Barrel now increasing range and damage (extra bonus on carbines), many of the carbines are more powerful and effective than before.
Funny that you mention "recoil has been increased" when it's not true. The Flash Suppressor attachment actually acts as a recoil compensator now. So, overall, the weapons actually have LESS recoil in general. I know this firsthand, as I us...
I was a HUGE fan of the Famas before the patch. I used the gun a lot. After the patch, it got a HUGE downgrade, and is now very hard to use, with extreme recoil.
After they nerfed my Famas, I didn't whine or get pissy and moany about it. I adapted; I started using other guns more, and I still enjoy using the Famas because it takes more skill to use and kill with now. I'm not complaining that DICE nerfed "my favorite gun" like so many people do, because I tot...
Hard drive space isn't the issue. Download times and monthly gigabyte usage caps are.
This might be compressed down eventually for the downloadable version of the game, but how much quality would you lose as a result of all that compression?
@Tai_Kaliso:
CORRECTION: Sony DID lack good security. Now, they DON'T lack good security, because Sony corrected their mistakes/oversights, and also realized that they're primary targets from hackers.
Also, I reiterate, PSN being free and Xbox Live being paid has NOTHING to do with the level of security of the service. Sony makes enough money from selling games and hardware (along with other businesses) that they can invest that money into having a go...
"Second, for better or for worse, the "free" model PSN totes should be examined. With more customer money put into PlayStation Network's infrastructure, could something like this have been avoided completely?"
PSN being free has nothing to do with its level of security or avoidance of hacker attacks. Xbox Live is a paid service, yet individual user accounts get hacked and credit cards get stolen on a daily basis. The frequency and scale on which these ...
Because we all know, any good electronic product has a "soul." If it doesn't have a "soul" built-in, it's just not worth purchasing. The best electronics are self-aware. Like SkyNet.
Vague generalizations FTW.
I hope T2x isn't the same thing used in Crysis 2. Very blurry, not that effective, and unsightly ghosting artifacts.
I think Crytek should focus on making the game actually run with a consistent framerate on consoles, rather than try to fine tune their AA solution. I'd rather have no AA than framerate drops down to 12-15 fps.
Another politically-correct, castrated blogger "voicing out" against the atrocities committed against women because of how they're depicted in games/cartoons/comics.
Some artists like to create characters with huge boobs and asses. Get over it. If the artwork offends your sensitivities so much, don't buy the game.
I used the Logitech Precision Pro. Far superior to the Xbox 1 controller S, in several ways. The black and white buttons were much easier to press, and the convex analog sticks were smoother and more precise.
I disagree about MW3 being a "great game," but I do agree that he won those arguments.
I hate MW3 more than most people. But COD haters can come off sounding COMPLETELY retarded at times. Literally, they sound mentally retarded.
I play BF3, and love it. I still haven't bought MW3. But I don't whine in blogs or forums about how much "COD sucks" or "Activision is greedy." I just enjoy what I enjoy; I'm too busy enjoying BF3 to bash MW3. Even if you MUST bash MW3, at least do it in a reasonable, logical manner.

It may not be a product many cared about, but it very well could be a product that they SHOULD care about. The game certainly looks promising, is being developed by very accomplished talent, and may possibly even be better than Skyrim itself (not likely, but it's a possibility).
I personally haven't even come close to finishing Skyrim, and have gotten kinda bored with the game ~150 hours in. So Skyrim DLC isn't exactly on my wishlist or radar.
Same lead artist who worked on Half-Life 2 also worked on this game. One can see the similarities in the stylistic sensibilities between the two games.
If they pull of COD PROPERLY on Vita, then the system will be in good shape. But it needs to be given the proper treatment.
Strangely, I think this game looks pretty cool. I never played the original Prototype, but am thinking about buying this game.
Yes, but many of these analysts don't seem to be particularly knowledgeable or insightful with their analyses. It seems short-sighted to say that Sony needs a pricecut to remain competitive, when they've already been more than competitive for the past several years. I don't see them trending out of "competitiveness" in the foreseeable future.
If these analysts are only focusing on North American sales, then that is even more short-sighted of them.
A great number of games are overrated nowadays. What’s the point of just singling out Uncharted 3? One could make the argument that games such as Skyrim, Portal 2, and Batman Arkham Asylum, albeit are great games, didn’t deserve the large amounts of praise and perfect scores heaped upon them. Skyrim in particular launched with an unbelievable number of flaws (some of which weren't fixed until months after release), yet reviewers overlooked them and gave it one of the highest metascores of...
I really hope this is a full-blown, open-world environment by Crytek this time, a la Far Cry 2 and 3; as opposed to the semi-open Crysis (and even more linear Crysis 2).
If it turns out to be just another linear shooter like Crysis 2 was, then I can't say I'd be all that interested. Not when Far Cry 3 is coming out the same year.
Wow, good deal if it comes with an Xbox 720 and PS4.
Many guns got buffed last patch, such as the G3A3, the SCAR-H, and even the F2000 to a lesser degree. Also, many attachments got major improvements, such as the Heavy Barrel, and the Flash Suppressor. Many weapons benefit a lot from the newly improved attachments.
The Famas was noticeably OP in relation to other other assault rifles (with the exception of the F2000), and thus it got nerfed. I use the Famas a lot, and even I agree that it was OP. It's still a very usable w...
