That unibrow will be a strategic advantage, allowing him to distract defenders long enough for him to cross them over.

You're forgetting that it costs a fortune to just to keep fighting this patent dispute.

And in the end, Microsoft may even be ordered to reimburse Motorola's legal fees.

"Microsoft [...] has warned the ITC that banning Xbox 360 across the US would not serve the public interest, because it would leave the market with a choice between PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii."

And what would be wrong with that? Lol.

Microsoft isn't exactly making a great case for itself here in terms of legality. "Buh-buh-but... people won't be able to play their Xboxes no more!"

I don't think that a...

"If we didn't do an exact copy of the game, they'd hate us. If we did do an exact copy, they'd say we didn't innovate."

The problem is, you neither innovated, nor did you remain faithful to the original.

Same with my PC, yet I still play my PS3 much more. I guess I'm just more of a console gamer. *shrugs*

I'll probably get Far Cry 3 on the PS3 because I enjoy using the controller more, and also the trophies. I'll get it on PC when it's cheap to see what the difference in graphics is.

To this day I still only have BF3 on PS3, not PC, because all my friends are on PS3. The few exclusive games I'm interested in like Amnesia and STALKER: CoP a...

Crappy guide.

All gamers need to know is that they need two things in an ISP (Internet Service Provider) for relatively smooth online gaming:

1) Decent Upload Bandwidth: At least 1 mbps upload speed.

2) Decent Latency (a.k.a. ping): Make sure that you can achieve 30 ms ping (or lower) to a nearby server on http://pingtest.net. The lower the ping you can achieve, th...

If the game is M-rated, then I don't see any problem with depictions of rape, sex, nudity, drugs, guns, violence, dismemberment, gore... whatever. It's not like the game is made for kids.

Just like how movies that are R-rated can have depictions of sex (and rape, on occasion), as well as realistic gore and violence, I am completely boggled as to why videogames should incite anymore outrage, or be held to a different standard as entertainment media.

Dammit, you got the answer wrong, and then edited your comment to copy my answer. Whatever.

Wow. Someone takes her gaming a little too seriously.

Reminds me of me when I was 13, and was all hardcore and proud to label myself a "gamer," "f*ck yeah, and f*ck you."

Big F***ing Gun? Originated in the first DOOM game as far as I know.

On that note, I'm reminded of why DOOM 64 desperately needs to be ported and re-released to current platforms. The BFG in that game was pretty badass.

It's more trouble than you think to get ANY game to run on outdated hardware (5-6 years old), let alone at 60 fps, full 720p HD, and with stereoscopic 3D support.

DOOM 3 still looks great by today's standards, and arguably looks better than COD. COD games have trouble maintaining a full 60 fps even at its reduced, sub-HD resolution (1024x600).

I'm sorry, but I can't agree at all. As a longtime Cheap-Ass Gamer (tm) and deal hunter, I've gotten some amazing deals on games over the years. All you have to do is to keep an eye out for deals on used and new games (browsing the cheapassgamer.com and slickdeals.com forums helps).

Here are a few quick examples of some great games I got for dirt cheap, just off the top of my head:

-Assassin's Creed Revelations - $15 used (Gamefly)
-F....

Wow, that sucks ass. Thank god we don't get ripped off on game prices here in the US. Although I fear the industry is heading that way, with the advent of online game passes, on-disc DLC, and used game bans.

You act like we've never seen 64-player games on console. Hell, we've even had 256-player games.

Of course there are technical constraints, and even more graphical optimizations and shortcuts would need to be made to increase the player count. This is no surprise; we all recognize this fact.

I'm not asking for full 64-player support. I think a slight increase to 32-players would be absolutely perfect, and is perfectly within the realm of possibili...

Link to the Saitek controller?

That is hilariously similar in shape to the 360 controller! The only real difference is that the right analog stick is positioned upwards now (which I actually like).

Even the trigger and bumper buttons look amazingly close to the 360 controller, almost like they were ripped straight out of it.

EDIT: To fanboys saying I'm "complaining about this..." grow up, because I'm not complaining. I like the look and design of this controller, and thin...

DOOM 3 was merely okay, imo. Many gamers would describe it as "mediocre," and I think that's a a fair description. Insofar as "slow-paced, horror" experiences in an FPS, F.E.A.R. had it beat. Not only were the atmospheric horror elements better done, but the base gunplay, gameplay mechanics, and A.I. were better as well. I was drooling in anticipation for DOOM 3, but when it finally came out, I was personally disappointed.

Again, a decently enjoyable g...

I never understood why gamers whined so much about this being a "mistake." It was very much deliberate gameplay mechanic that was meant to add to the suspense and challenge of the game. At worst, it was a minor annoyance; I've experienced much worse annoyances in other games. I've played through DOOM 3 multiple times, and the separate flashlight thing was never a major issue.

Yeah, when positive sales numbers come out for Sony, Microsoft fanboys whine that VGChartz is full of crap. When positive sales numbers come out for Microsoft, Sony fanboys whine that VGChartz is full of crap. Same goes for Nintendo fanboys. Such is the sad world of fanboyism.

I'm amazed that a 5+ year old system is outselling a popular handheld that just came out ~a year ago.
