Not sure why you're getting disagrees, but it's almost guaranteed that the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be much more powerful than the Wii U, based on leaked specs, devkits, and rumors alone.
Refer back to this comment in about 2 years when all the consoles have released, and we'll see who's right and who are the fanboys eating crow.
Like Wii U running Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed 3, and Black Ops 2 in native 1080p/60fps? Hahahahaha...
I'll be laughing my ass off if the Wii U version runs Black Ops 2 in sub-HD 600p just like all the other "last-gen" consoles.

You're implying that it's possible these two artists had "similar styles." Well, then, that would be QUITE the coincidence. I would go with the common sense opinion that, based on the similarities in color palette, theme, composition, and style, that this was more than mere simple "coincidence," and that the Borderlands 2 artist has at least SEEN the posters created by Olly Moss.
Sorry, but it's just common sense. The...
This is pretty blatant. It's not an "homage" because Olly Moss's posters and artwork weren't created too long ago, and they weren't official Star Wars posters.
You can't just completely rip off another artist's style and creation like that, without any form of compensation, or even acknowledgment in the credits that his artwork was an "inspiration."
Some people need to make a living, and to see starving artists have...
The new Slim model (I wouldn't categorize it as "Super Slim") is both to cut costs as well as for marketing purposes.
@CmonBeReal:
"...it just doesnt happen. Unless you're absolutely pathetic and have absolutely no life."
You act like being pathetic and having no life is out of the question here. This IS the internet we're talking about, after all. I don't want to piss off Shok though, in case he really does have a ton of N4G accounts and starts raining down his bubble fury upon me.
I've been making sense in my posts on N4G, or at l...
I'm about 50% through Amnesia, and actually find it kinda boring. It feels like a rather monotonous dungeon crawl. I played Penumbra a few years ago and recall finding that game more enjoyable and inventive (at the time, at least).
...and lag compensation, unbalanced OP weapons, lag compensation, host (dis)advantage, host migration, head-glitching, crappy graphics, bad map design...
I'm also embarrassed by all these cheap-ass whiners.
When I bought Premium, I already thought it was a freaking steal, because it's MUCH cheaper than buying all the DLC expansion packs separately. You're already saving money just by buying the Premium membership for all the expansion packs. Plus, you get 2-weeks early access to those expansion packs. Even if they didn't give me anything else other than all the expansion packs for $50, I wouldn't complain, ...
@attilayavuzer:
Layoffs are part of how the world works, especially in today's down economy. If a company wants to survive, it needs to cut corners when the occasion calls for it. Are you really trying to act like Microsoft hasn't laid off people en mass, by the thousands, before? I guarantee you that Microsoft and most other companies out there are planning even more layoffs this year.
I wouldn't be surprised if disc-based games are the norm even 10 years from now.
The current global network infrastructure simply isn't fast or secure enough at this point in time for digital distribution to overtake physical. Unless the whole developed world makes it mandatory that every house and street be upgraded to fiber optic connections, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
Hell, Comcast cable has a 250-350GB maximum usage cap (that means...
@greenpowerz
Just because some multiplatform games look better on the 360 does not mean the PS3 is less powerful. That's a complete logical fallacy. Most multiplatform games are lead-developed first on 360 and then ported to the PS3, hence the poor optimization of the PS3 versions.
If every developer led on PS3 or focused on optimizing their games for the PS3 first, then the story would be completely different. Battlefield 3, LA Noire, and Portal 2 are cl...
@PHIBALNATION
Microsoft had more money than their competitors 15 years ago, now they're getting beaten by Apple and Google.
And please, stop with that "Microsoft buying Sony" nonsense, because Sony is a larger company. It just makes you sound stupid. They couldn't even buy Nintendo if they wanted, seeing as the Japanese government would most likely step in and put a stop to such an acquisition.
Also note, more (advanced) shaders and effects DO NOT equal a better looking game.
Crytek seems to pride themselves on cramming the most graphical features and effects they possibly can into their engine--as many as they can find or think of--including any of the newest techniques that can be even remotely feasibly run in a realtime game. Mostly, they do this for hype value and bragging rights for their engine. But many of these shaders and effects are either highly unoptimiz...
No one forced you to buy the game early, and at full price. Games ALWAYS drop in price a few months after release. ALWAYS.
If you saw this coming, and predicted that there would be a Premium edition at a reduced price about a year after launch, then it's YOUR fault for not waiting the extra year.
I bought Battlefield 3 at launch, and I also bought the Premium DLC pack for $50. I don't regret doing so.
From what I can see, the polygon count of the gun and character models and environment overall are well below the standards set by modern games. Even COD games, not being known as graphically state-of-the-art, seem to have greater polygons rendered per scene.
Polygonal detail is a hard nut to crack, and the only modification I can see remotely remedying these low poly counts is some form of tessellation being implemented.
Then again, the very nature of the DO...
You really think they'd make their money back by selling the game at 50-75% off?
Do you really expect developers to spend a lot of effort and resources to port a game that will probably be pirated to hell and not sell that many copies anyway?
Yes, locking the resolution in a PC game is terrible and inexcusable, but it seems like From Software didn't want to even do the port in the first place. Why spend extra money on a port that might end up losing them money, let alone break even?
Because it's $3.5 million dollars.
And the next generation of consoles is coming.
I've been a huge Far Cry fan for years; this video looks amazing. It really harkens back to the good old days of the first game back in 2004. I'm still debating whether to get this on PC, or the PS3 (my favorite system).
