While I would definitely agree that they are ahead in terms of the service I still find the tech to be lagging with the slightest bit of lag ruining the experience and I have Google Fiber so speed isn't an issue.

Biggest disappointment? LOL, it is hands down my favorite game of this generation and easily the most exciting new gameplay experience I've had since Super Mario 64. Give me a break. Don't worry, I'm sure another hand-holding "open world" game from Ubisoft will be upon you soon enough.

My 3 favorite games so far this generation have been 1. No Man's Sky, 2. Transistor and 3. Alien: Isolation... if I had listened to idiots like Jimquisition I would have missed out on No Man's Sky which is hands down the most innovative game since Super Mario 64 and Transistor for some of the best gameplay mechanics around. If I listened to IGN/Gamespot I would have never even tried out Alien:Isolation. Point being it doesn't matter who is playing these games... best to try them...

Forgotten in a year? Not only is this the best game I've played this generation by a mile it is also the most exciting new gameplay experience I've had since Super Mario 64. This game will not be forgotten in a year, it is going to have the same impact on how games are created as Super Mario 64 did on 3D games or GTAIII on open world games, you clearly didn't like that this game didn't hold your hand. Don't worry... Watchdogs hipster simulator will be out soon enough.

Give it up, you were never going to play it to begin with.

I've had no issues at all on the PS4, not one crash or noticeable slow down. However, it's a damn shame to see that so many are having issues with the PC counterpart, seems that Hello needed a bigger team to focus on multiple launches within the same week.

Honestly, what is your problem? You had no intention of ever playing the game to begin with and yet have spent so much time hating on a game you have never played. I have put in 32 hours so far and it has exceeded everything they said it was, nobody tricked anybody. Don't you have some dude-bro shooter you should be playing?

Oh good, more dude-bro COD with mechs.

No it won't, it was a huge misstep on Microsoft's part which is why Sony let them go first at E3 and shoot their load so to speak with the ammoucments. Sony will put out the Neo which albeit might be less powerful than Scorpio but more powerful than Xbox S for a full year. Sony's gameplan isn't to compete with Scorpio... it's to get ready for PS5 which will gut Xbox sales all around.

I picked up the 2TB version last week after selling my original launch unit back in 2015 after being dissapointed in yet another Halo game. I thought Remedy who put out one of my favorite games with Alan Wake would make re-buying the slim version worth it... I was wrong yet again. At this point I'm holding out for Gears 4, if that ends up being a let down (I'm really torn on the previews) then I'll be selling off the S as well.

Fantastic review and I think your comment about not winning the game is likely why a large segment of the gaming population are so turned off. Hands down my favorite game of this generation and the fact that I know I can't win in but can keep exploring and creating my own new adventures makes me glad that I can't:)

First, you clearly haven't played it. Second, what kind of sick satisfaction do you get out of hating on a game that so many of are are truly enjoying. I haven't been this blown away by a new game since Super Mario 64.

Excellent review, easily my favorite game of this generation but nice to see another honest review rather than some of the "hater" traps the likes of Jimquisition have fallen into to get hits.

LOL, this coming from a website that is addicted to hand holding games like Assassins Creed/Far Cry or dude-bro shooters like COD.

It wasn't because of a simple low score... it is because he has gone out of his way for months to hate on this game and could hardly wait to be one of the first to come out and trash this game. Why anybody follows this guy is beyond me, he thinks Garden Warfare is one of the "premiere" gameplay experiences of this generation, lol.

I love how the biggest selling point of the Xbox One is the ability to play last generation games. Don't get me wrong, Xbox 360 had one of the best lineups in console history... Xbox One has one of the worst.

LOL, now all of the sudden watch all the dude-bros from Xbox start changing their tune on how brilliant this game is.

3464d ago 12 agree13 disagreeView comment

Agree all the way, and maybe that is another reason why there is so much vitriol from some reviewers. It is a game about exploration and creating your own adventures... too many gamers need that constant rewards system while having their hand held.

3464d ago 10 agree0 disagreeView comment

Excellent review... especially on the point of making the story for yourself. Really reminds me of the first real choose your own adventure in gaming and I think this is why there is so much vitriol. There are a majority of gamers who like having their hand held ala Assassins Creed/Far Cry.

3464d ago 8 agree5 disagreeView comment

The reason there are down reviews is because it is neither a dude-bro shooter nor does it hold your hand like Assassins Creed/Far Cry. There are a lot of gamers (and reviewers) who are not accustomed to playing intelligent games which is why there is so much vitriol dressed up as "reviews".
