"There have certainly been instances where we felt very sad or frustrated, but reacting to every single piece of information could in fact contribute to spreading it further."
I love this quote.
I did read your comment, man, and Mewtwo and Lucario's movesets were very different. Heck, their basic fighting styles were different. Just because they have a charging special attack doesn't make them "clones." I think people assigned Lucario the "clone" tag in Brawl just because Mewtwo got removed.
I don't see a problem with Lucario sticking around at all. If his Final Smash was Mega Evolution, then that especially would be a representation o...
That still doesn't mean that Lucario and Mewtwo can't both be in the game. Their Mega Evolutions would be great Final Smashes (especially against Lucario's original one).
@noxeven
I'm completely aware of how people have modded Brawl to play more like Melee and changing characters to be more accommodating to tournament play; I wasn't asking about that.
I'm curious about why @Shinymasonite said it's "inevitable" and why we should automatically assume that there will be mass balancing problems. Nintendo has made three Super Smash Bros. games. That's in no way enough of a reputation for us to instantl...
"Inevitable"? Please elaborate on that.
I think a recurring issue with Nintendo over the last few years is simply a lack of attentiveness to its supporters. The idea of fixing the account system is good, but being able to reward people for sticking by them is smart. They need to show the fans that they value them and that they appreciate them sticking around. Lowering prices for long-time supporters is a great idea, one that I really hope more companies consider for their respective fans.
Let's face it: out of ...
It is rather large for a portable. It's not something you can put in your pocket, though I have a 3DS XL too and that's not a pocket system either. Vita has a big screen, though.
I swear, these handhelds are getting bigger every generation. Soon, they're gonna be bigger than the original Game Boy.
Sony, stop marketing the Vita as just a remote play device. It is an independent system with lots of awesome features, not a connectivity component that needs the PS4 to crutch it up 24/7.
What sucks about Bayonetta 2's exclusivity? Exclusives are what make consoles sell. You don't buy a system for the things you can get on another.
In response to your second comment,
That's certainly true, but I still think that elaborating beyond Metroid's current level of story is a bad idea. Metroid has always had a sense of quietness to its lore, as shown in Metroid Prime with the scanned logs detailing the Chozo race.
Then there's Other M, which many people panned because of how it approached its narrative. It was too in-your-face. It was intended to be the focus.
Metro...
"a more mature Metroid game"
Metroid is already perfect in the "maturity" department. We don't need overly sexualized Samus blowing off space pirates heads and blood bursting from their necks.
That's not what Metroid is or was ever about.
It sounds weird at first, but Nintendo's taking a different approach to all of these ideas than what some might expect.
They're not just putting their games on mobile devices.
They're not giving their IPs to just any developer.
And QOL sounds...quite honestly, I don't know what that necessarily means for the long-term.
We may not know what a lot of these ideas mean at the moment, but they are certainly methods of taking action...
Definitely looking forward to Metro: Last Light and maybe even Remember Me, providing my hard drive isn't capped out with the other IGC games.
Please don't open up this can of worms again. Everyone's really getting tired of it.
Of course they can be. The problem is that the general mobile audience rarely ever wants "legitimate games." They want bite-size distractions that you can pick up and play on a brief bus ride or in a waiting room. That's why these smaller games thrive on smartphones and tablets.
Putting these "legitimate games" on a mobile device is like putting a game like Angry Birds on PS4; the audiences are incompatible with the game's placement.
This announcement didn't confirm the Fusion, but it does seem to coordinate with the idea of a console-handheld hybrid system that shares similar interface and feature ecosystems between two devices.
It very well might mean "two consoles in one."
If this encourages more projects like Metroid Prime and F-Zero GX, I'm for it.
I noticed that too: this "quality of life" concept. Maybe it's a way to make their products more integral to a lifestyle as opposed to a hobby.
I'm both curious and anxious for clarification on that.
May Mario Kart is good. That's the kind of game that hooks people, especially in the game drought of summer.
If you're a fan of how Project M approached Smash Bros., that's fine, but this quote you used really bothered me:
"some dedicated fans will come along and make into the game it should be."
In my understanding, you're meaning that Melee was what Super Smash Bros. should be. That's not true. Sakurai's intention when designing the series in the first place was to make the game simple and less technical. It was designed to be the &qu...
