The morality system wouldn't be as broken if there was some kind of advantage for taking the middle road. I don't like my skills being locked out just because I wasn't singularly good or singularly evil.
And for a system that's supposed to highlight consequence from the player's actions, the polar morality system is extremely predictable. It's hard to feel satisfied with your own personal input to these choices if the game telegraphs the consequences o...
Localize this one, Nintendo of America. Please.
Someone make a game real quick to throw him off!
That's a pretty damn inspirational story, I gotta say. Selfless is an understatement.
Japan's doing the most leg work for the Vita these days. Good to see the system getting some quality software.
That's a bummer. I remember hearing about this a long time ago and I was hyped. I haven't heard much about it lately, so I guess the worst became true.
That sucks, because it's not like we're gonna be seeing anything like it from current-era Rare.
Of course we're tired of waiting. Not like we have a choice, though...
That's not Valve's thing. When they release Half-life 3 (whenever that is) they want as many people as possible to be able to play it, including long-time PC gamers.
Besides, it seems pretty sleazy to support PC gamers and then make them buy another PC-esque device to play such an anticipated title if it plays just as well on Steam on PC.
"Microsoft gives the impression that Games with Gold is an obligation that they need to meet in order to compete with Sony."
If Sony didn't do Instant Game Collection first and get success with it, I honestly don't think Microsoft would have even considered Games With Gold. This is a completely reactionary program.
I think the basis of using classical game design in a modern environment constitutes as innovation, because let's face it: no idea is truly 100% original, especially in the games industry and even more so in TODAY's games industry.
People innovate in different ways and sometimes it's using an already established practice in a different context. Innovation is a very contextual concept; even a century-old idea can be new if performed the right way. It's not abou...
In today's industry it is.
Kinda expected a few more AAA titles, maybe older AAA, but Sony is bound to add more of those over time.
As much as I'd like another Billy Hatcher game, I don't think this image had anything to do with that.
This is an interesting article.
Nintendo has always been a company that makes their innovation an upfront deal. They loudly announce that they're trying something new, and as a result, the innovation can feel very forced and intimidating, hence the "gimmickry" label.
Mario Kart 8, from what I can gather, uses its innovation in much more subtle ways, like anti-gravity tracks and great, colorful stage design. It's a quieter progression, one th...
I sure would like this PC version to come out, preferably this year. The plot thickens...
That's definitely up there, but the PS3 had so much against it at launch. Tough development architecture, extremely low stock at launch events, and the infamous $599. People counted it out so much back then and to harsh, harsh levels.
The 3DS did have a bad launch, but the PS3 is the one that I feel had the most negative reception, so its reversal is more impressive to me.
Drinkbox has been very supportive of the Vita and they recently announced their praise of the system's owners publicly. I'd be very surprised if Vita didn't get it.
Sigmund was hilarious. I was pretty surprised when I found out than Nolan North played him, since North's voice is pretty identifiable in his other gaming roles. Sigmund was a very unique tone for North and an awesome character overall.
Heavy Rain was pretty interesting as far as narrative, much more interesting than Beyond Two Souls. I can't believe we got Beyond Two Souls over Kara.
While I can agree with the first two to a degree, you lost any resemblance of credibility with the last two.
"no modern UI"
What's this supposed to mean? What makes a UI "modern"? I swear, you just made that up. You mean how you interact with your console, because I think Nintendo's doing pretty well with that.
"Not enough mature titles."
This is the most overused, most unsubstantiated ar...
