Anime was a mistake.

I liked Burnout even before Takedown was released, but the third is still the Burnout game I play the most to this day. Fantastic racing game.

I agree. Though we're getting more on Vita in 2014, it's clear that Sony's efforts on focused more on the PS4.

"To summarise: if it cost less, had some internal storage/cheaper memory cards, lost its pointless social guff and had games priced properly I would love it."

Cost: I think that, considering the tech and options you're getting, it's reasonably priced.

Memory cards: This I can agree with. They're still way too expensive. PS+ might get you lots of free games, but the money you spend on memory cards to store the games cancels that out.

How many of those IP's are straight from Nintendo R&D? A lot of the ones you listed, while good, are second or third party IP's.

Firstly, this article made some good points. However, some of the claims are very off:

1. As a system, the Wii didn't suck. It did NOT have anywhere near the library of the Gamecube, but saying "it sucked" is just plain wrong. The Virtual Boy sucked. The Wii didn't.

2. Nintendo knew that going after Sony head-on would result in the same problems with the Gamecube. I can see why the author would think that not fighting against competitors hea...

The overarching concern that I read was that the reviewer thought the missions were boring. However, that criticism alone doesn't seem to equal a full 2/5 score in my eyes.

Were the missions that much of a downer to justify that low a score? The guy sounded like he had a lot of good stuff to say about everything else.

Whatever. Your opinion, pal.

That's the only hardware problem I have with the Vita: the rear touch pad. I know some games are using it in interesting ways like Tearaway, but interesting doesn't overtake functional.

If a game uses the rear touch pad, you're forced to hold the Vita in a very awkward and uncomfortable way, one with your fingers curled around the edges and not resting on the back. Also, if you're holding it in your lap or something, you have to hold it up off the surface or i...

"If people don't see the Vita doing the same number of sales as the 3DS, then it's automatically a failure."

This mentality that McQuinn speaks of is why the gaming community is so hostile. Just because something's not first place doesn't mean it's worthless. The Vita has some really awesome software and it's a shame that it's not as recognized.

I'm apathetic toward Pewdiepie. It's his insane fans that get on my nerves.

Definitely gonna give this a try myself.

I definitely like that idea. If they could make it a sort of minigame, kind of like how Snake's Final Smash went into an aiming game of sorts, but with each character running away from Pac-man on a maze.

I think they can, but they would have to really demonstrate a considerable advantage from the original to do so. That being said, I've yet to see an HD remake do that. I believe it's possible, but I've yet to see one that really ups the ante that much.

He's hilarious and the Soda Drinker Pro is one of his best videos, though the Animal Soccer World one he just released is certainly up there.

OT: Can't say I was expecting this on Xbox One (or any consoles, for that matter), but if you can't play it on PC, I guess this is good.

Should've done one Pokemon game per year. Everyone's just tired of it now.

@Tempest317

You'd think that adapting to the more random elements and playing with a versatile and adaptive skillset (regardless of what comes your way) would make you "pro." Hell, I'd think that too, but the competitive fighting game scene bases their ideology on isolating the gameplay down to the players' skill and nothing else.

I don't think that basing every bit of the gameplay to player-controlled elements makes you a pro at any...

@wonderfulmonkeyman

Sakurai had to endure a lot of hate for Brawl. The people who loved Melee wanted him to make Brawl like that, which was completely against his original vision.

The fact that he's actually offering some form of competitive-focused mode with this shows that he at least cares about gamers of all skill levels, but the people who tore him a new one because Brawl was so unlike Melee are not innocent. It's clear that they influenced his d...

It's limited because those are the rules that pro Smash players usually follow in their matches. They hate items because they don't like unpredictable attacks and only play on Final Destination because different stage architecture can change how a match progresses.

Really, Sakurai is just giving the competitive crowd what they want.

I don't think so. With games like Destiny on the way for PS4, pitting the Borderlands trilogy against other games in the library would be big trouble. I don't think it'd get enough market attention to be worth the risk of combating other, huger releases.

4313d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's not, but there are a number of companies that need to put some effort into improving it.
