Anime was a mistake.

They're not necessary at all, but they do have convenience, as long as they are substantial updates like the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus collection (which had much better frame rates) and not just blatant re-release cash grabs.

You have to cultivate the indies now. Before, B-games were able to stand alongside big first-party games, but since EA and Activision killed B-games off by bloating their own games' budgets, indies are filling the gap left behind.

Inexpensive to make, but full of experimentation and quirky charm; that's indies. Nintendo is smart to work with them.

Splatoon is awesome. COD is not.

That one simple rule is concise, but still provides plenty of guidance for how to explore Giant Bomb and the internet in general. It's a travesty that people are so ignorant and mindlessly outspoken that they can't even follow that simple, four-word-long rule.

I like how Fox News is so uninformed and ignorant about games in general that Geoff Keighley has to say that you guys are wrong and should actually do some research before reporting on it.

Consoles are only worthwhile for exclusives to me now. PC gaming picks up all the slack I need.

Most gaming-quality PC's these days are available for reasonable prices. Maybe not $400, but if you're willing to spend a few extra hundred bucks up front, you'll be able to get a mid-to-upper range no problem.

With even a mid-range PC, you'll be able to run a good amount of current software. Better yet, that extra investment early on nets you access to a huge amount of digital sales through Steam, GOG, GreenManGaming, Amazon, whatever digital store you like. ...

None of these investors know anything about video games. They just want to know where their money is going. Nintendo's investors meeting was filled to the brim with these kinds of folks and that's a huge problem. I heard there was a guy who just told Nintendo (in front of everyone in the meeting) to stop talking about video games and tell him where his money is going. The rest of the room APPLAUDED this man. That's sad.

These investors are literally spending their...

You mean like the Monster Hunter thing? Well, the developers will make games for the best-selling system, and the 3DS is the best-selling handheld system. Capcom just went where the money is.

And the 3DS doesn't owe its rise to success to the third-party developers. Its comeback came from a price drop and Nintendo pushing better first-party stuff. Third-party developers like Monster Hunter just increased the already established lead.

@feraldrgn

People bought the PS4 at launch because Sony hyped it up with a huge amount of marketing. They did no such thing with the Vita.

"Not that interested in the games for vita."

Good for you. Too bad there are millions of people who own the system that actually want some good, original games for the system.

A close call between the Gamecube (specifically the WaveBird) and PS2 controllers, but I'd have to say Gamecube.

Do I agree with everything Egoraptor said? Nope, but damn, he made some good arguments in that video.

"It's sad because if the Vita disappears, it was perhaps the first piece of video game hardware that died because it was too good."

The hardware wasn't the problem at all. The system itself is near flawless, in my opinion. The software and marketing was the stuff that wrecked the Vita.

Sony doesn't.

Microsoft have Cuphead. That's a huge step forward. Very psyched for that one.

So you're basing the quality of software on sales? That only system sellers are good games? And you're saying that AAA blockbusters only appear on PS4 and Xbox One? If you don't like the Wii U's games, that's okay, but this "no games" argument is flawed from the start.

Right now, the Wii U has more quality exclusives then either of the other systems and it will continue to do so in 2014. PS4 and Xbox One will get quality exclusives, but their 201...

Why did you buy a PS4 AND an Xbox One? 80 percent of their retail libraries right now are shared multi-platform games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty. In that regard, there are only a handful of good exclusives on each. So, in essence, you bought a PS4 or an Xbox One (whichever one you bought second) for a handful of exclusives.

Not the best investment of 400-500 dollars there, pal.

"Maybe if it was $150 I'd get one."

Quit kidding yourself. You totally wouldn't. There are some great games on Wii U right now and the momentum is growing as we speak. If you don't want a Wii U now, when it's catching everyone's eye and getting increased sales, you just don't want one and you're dead set on just saying it's bad.

While I agree that Sony needs to find some way to get the Vita into gamers' hands, I still feel like this is the wrong way to do it. PS TV is not beneficial to the Vita. It could be beneficial for Sony, but the Vita system will be a tough sell if PS TV is cheaper and has almost all of the features of the original Vita (aside from hardware controls and portability). I think Sony of all people should know how to give a system an effective second wind, but at this point, they're making z...
