But we're forced to see them on store shelves while playing two consoles that don't have backwards compatibility with the same games we've already bought.
Chris Cunningham is a mad genius.
@SilentNegotiator
You are completely underestimating how hyped Watch_Dogs was by gamers, how much coverage it got from media, and how much Ubisoft spent on marketing. It was going to have a PS4 bundle, for crying out loud. I'm not surprised at all that it sold that well, even on PS4 alone. And I know you like pointing out this Watch_Dogs/Mario Kart 8 argument, because you've said it countless times on countless other topics. Give it a rest already.

Bought this game on PC when it first launched. A very funny game, especially if you're an AVGN fan. Be warned that you'll hate skull blocks for the rest of your life, though.
Yeah, but PS4 and Xbox One owners will buy DriveClub and Forza instead of this. The main demographic that's interested in Project Cars is the Wii U community, mostly because this kind of racing game doesn't have competition there. There's Mario Kart 8, but that's not the same kind of racing game as Project Cars.
Project Cars will not sell on PS4 and Xbox One. There's absolutely no chance of it making a dent in DriveClub and Forza's prominence, and the ...
Disappointing. Watch it not sell well on PS4 and Xbox One since they have DriveClub and Forza respectively, then Namco Bandai will call those low sales justification for completely rushing the Wii U version, giving them a worse product. *sigh*
It's not hurting anyone technically, but Melee is the reason that the "Fox/Falco, no items, five stock, Final Destination" idea is in play and it's the reason that the "For Glory" mode is what it is.
And unlike what pro Smashers whine about, that's NOT an exaggeration. I've been to a number of conventions where this Smash stereotype is completely true. I've seen tournaments where less than 25% of the participating players use someone ot...
That is some of the most canned, processed and blatantly scripted talk I've ever heard from Ubisoft. The lack of sincerity from that quote alone is mind-blowing.
Yeah, at the moment, that's what I'd say is the best Wii U game released so far. Retro Studios are masters of dynamic level design.
It's not the best in the series (that belongs to Sonic 3 and Knuckles, in my opinion), but it's far from a bad game. A very good one, in fact.
Neversoft has one of the few logos that actually makes for a good secret character.
It really is. Resogun and Infamous: Second Son are the only PS4 exclusives on that list, so that makes a hard case for the PS4 library compared to that of the PS3.
Also, why is Battlefield 4 on that list? That game was broken.
"...social applications for Project Morpheus, including the social screen idea, companion apps such as those for The Deep and Street Luge, and head-tracked avatars."
As interesting as these sound, I think more games beyond the asynchronous multiplayer headset/TV idea are in order. The games will make Morpheus integral to Playstation.
I would agree with you, but the fact is that we don't know anything about Half-Life 3. Nothing. Not even a single screenshot. Even The Last Guardian has a trailer, so we understand what its vibe is. We know absolutely nothing about Half-Life 3.
As for the Doom deal, that's already been addressed with Doom 3, which tried to make a corridor shooter after Halo AND Half-Life 2 were on everyone's minds. It was good, but it seemed dated compared to its peers.
...
It'll come out eventually. Valve would be stupid to not continue this series, and if they really were going to straight-up end it, they'd just come out and say it instead of beating around the bush.
What gamers SHOULD do is not let it dictate the gaming climate. Getting hyped over the tiniest shred of unconfirmed rumors from a random NeoGAF user's forum post is an overall bad idea.
Dev tools and hardware aren't the problem with Microsoft, as the Xbox One is a capable system. Most of the criticism is related to Microsoft's interaction with gamers, smaller devs and consumers. It's not connected to how easy it is to develop games for or what's going on under the hood.
The problem with Microsoft is attitude. Attitude toward the consumer and what they're looking for in a system. Attitude toward the indie devs who don't want to deal wi...
I'd like to see more games that use the VR setup and not just demos. Ambitious new projects that could sell the headset. It's not gonna be cheap, so Sony is going to need a steady stream of VR-integrated software to convince the masses that it's worth buying and that it's not just another gimmick.
"...as valve seem set on not re-creating a half life 3 then we are looking to steal the market for this ourselves."
This would've been more hilarious if this guy wasn't actually asking for money to fund this fake thing. Ah well. Cancelled.
As decent as Revelations was, aside from that, Capcom has done nothing for the Resident Evil series since RE4. RE5 had shoehorned co-op with no horror, RE6 was "Michael Bay with quote-on-quote 'zombies'", and Operation Raccoon City? Garbage.
I expect the next Resident Evil game to follow in the same trend of RE6: all action, no horror. That's not what Resident Evil's about.
Or you could play it on PS+ for free on Instant Game Collection, rather than pay more for a slightly prettier version of the game.
