I'm curious, what does this petition aim to do?
The franchise is owned by Activision and there's no way that they'll give up the franchise unless they're offered a crap-ton of money. Sony can't do anything to get it back until they gather the cash and buy the license back themselves.
I'm just confused as to who this petition is aimed to get a reaction from: Activision (who are too greedy to actually give it up or even make a game with ...
I think a better phrasing is "exclusives" because that's what Sony isn't giving the Vita. Almost all of those games you can find on another system. You buy a system for exclusives. If you can get the game on a system you already own, why in the world would you buy a $200 system to play it there?
@joeorc
"Expect more AAA to be developed for the playstation TV as the main Vita..."
That's not going to happen. Sony has said up-front that their AAA Vita efforts aren't worth it. The problem is that Playstation TV is essentially a Vita without portability or the hardware whistles. They're not two completely different architectures.
And besides, while gamers know of Playstation TV, the average consumer doesn't under...
Just curious: what defines being "saved" to you?
Play Steamworld Dig. It's awesome.
Sony's not doing anything to increase that number. Without any investment in quality first-party software, the system's dead to them. Thank God for Japanese devs and indies. They're actually doing something with the Vita.
There is absolutely no way you can learn guitar from a guitar controller, but I have heard success stories from Rock Band drummers and vocalists saying that Rock Band drums and singing helped them improve their real-world playing.
As everyone said, get Rocksmith 2014. It's a much better investment than Rock Band, and like Harmonix's series, it's getting great DLC all the time.
Port begging is so pathetic. If you can find at least 10 exclusive games on a system that you want on your console of choice that badly, just buy the system already.
We don't even know if Sony can handle so many gamers streaming games over their servers at once. The pricing is just another discouragement to a system that really hasn't been proven to work in a more widespread environment.
I hear "Ubisoft", "mobile", and "free-to-play" in the same sentence and I just want to punch my monitor.
I still don't know if VG Chartz is legit or not. Everyone's opinion on its accuracy changes every week.
That's true, and I do agree with you, RDR, but the problem isn't so much that people are getting paid off. It's more that WE DON'T KNOW who is getting paid off or not. Transparency is the big problem (as it is in traditional game journalism), because if there's no way to tell who's being honest and who's being legit, it's tough to determine a really trustworthy source.
I don't see how anyone can like the first Uncharted over Among Thieves. The difference is night and day.
Never try to support a pro-Sony argument with something as awful as Beyond: Two Souls. It just doesn't work. You can do better.
Geez, this age-old "Link to the Past VS Ocarina of Time" argument seems to be coming up a lot lately.
If it means more focus on games, I'm on board.
You're one of the few who actually has legitimate interest in the game having never played it, and quite frankly, that's perfectly fine.
However, there is no way that that many people commenting in those articles have never played The Last of Us. The majority of the popularity from users on those stories is composed of fans who want to flower and flaunt graphics, like the article said.
A week before Black Friday means that Nintendo can build a bit more hype in local ads before tackling the hellish Black Friday itself, and with all the kids loving that Skylanders stuff, might get the families' attention too.
Nintendo has to hype early if they want to make Black Friday really count, but if true, that's a promising release date.
Kratos would go nuts and wreck the offices. Then he'd say Zeus did it.
