I agree that Nintendo should've had a better first-party launch lineup for the Wii U, but at the same time, the current situation isn't all on Nintendo.
I honestly can't say that EA isn't responsible for how badly Mass Effect 3 sold on Wii U. Also, if you look at what Criterion said about NFS: Most Wanted's performance, they assigned blame to both Nintendo AND EA. There was no cooperation there and Criterion had to suffer from that lack of synergy. I also ...
@Soldierone
That's not the point. Just because something is widely accepted doesn't mean it should be. I don't think that a $50 game should be worth $7.50 upon trade-in less than a month after release, then re-sold for $40. And I'm speaking from personal experience with that statistic.
As for Amazon, it's not marketed as a trade-in company. Yes, it offers the service, but a huge part of Gamestop's marketing is directed toward things li...
Talk about a blast from the past. Hidden gem for sure.
Normally, when Naughty Dog completes a story and moves onto a new franchise, the former series is either abandoned completely (Crash Bandicoot) or given mediocre continuations until it's irrelevant (Jak and Daxter). It seems that the only one that knows how to make Naughty Dog franchises incredible...is Naughty Dog.
"wii u had an awful first year. yet people seem to not want to bring that up."
Actually, that's brought up a lot. The fact that Nintendo has a lot of awesome exclusives releasing this year (along with Mario Kart 8 a couple months ago) is the fact that often gets ignored. You hear the "it's been a year and a half, this should've happened at launch" excuse, an excuse that happens with almost EVERY system nowadays.
The Wii U could...
Low trade-in values for the customer aren't the only problem with Gamestop. What about the fact that they sell those traded-in games for twice the price the customer got when they traded them in?
What about putting employees under pressure to shove Game Informer and lackluster rewards offers at every purchase, devaluing customer service, stacking on paltry commission incentives, and making their already underpaid workers look like sheep to management shepherds?

For everyone who's chewing out Ubisoft on the female assassin thing, it's just another story character, not a playable one. Skip to 5:58 and they detail her character.
That's WAY too specific a hint to be a coincidence.
Agreed. If you have a differing opinion, that's okay, but you shouldn't talk like your opinion is the only one that matters.
This is the attitude that I want to hear from VR devs. We need VR to be integral to the games and not just some afterthought shoehorned in at the end of development. Hopefully other developers share Thotwise Games' perspective on using VR in games.
Naughty Dog are not afraid of ending a series when it needs to. They never drag a story out beyond its true ending. Whatever they decide to do, it'll be the right decision.
Why do people think they can get away with selling a bad game like that? After all of the other horror stories that Sterling reported?
This isn't even social justice. This claim that a villain is mentally ill is completely unsupported once you dive into the actual biological features of undergoing that kind of condition. It's actually more like judging a character by their outside behavior, aka stereotyping. Also:
"There is no obvious physical indication that someone is struggling with a mental health concern."
Exactly. So how do we know these characters are even mentally i...
They took a lot of heat back then and they've already offered some free stuff to those affected. If this does go through and they do end up spending all those millions, that seems very rough (and they're already in a very bad financial situation). As Eonjay said, profiting from the victims at this point seems exhausting.
However, I haven't heard any opinions from anyone who got their identity stolen, so I can't really understand how much damage the hack did to...
Geez, that's a lot of stuff they'd be giving away.
Any article that uses the word "overrated" in its headline is probably not worth your time.
I'm not optimistic on this. I mean, Google might leave Twitch to its own devices, but I'm still expecting some form of corporate shadowing to sink into Twitch after this deal.
The biggest issue that I'm seeing with the gaming feminist movement is that the loudest and most radical speakers are technically not feminists.
They are clearly uneducated in gender studies. Due to these pseudo-feminists being so outspoken, the REAL feminists who actually understand the concept don't want to be associated with them, so they distance themselves from them and the term "feminism" in general. That gives feminism and those fighting for equality ...
Cool idea. I can see gamers streaming their own games on their channels, then when they're not streaming, they could host their friend's game (which they also happen to be playing against in multiplayer, perhaps). That's exposure for both sides and it encourages forming communities and networks.
@Cornholio
Not to promote EA's practices as "good", but I think Bioware had more to do with making Mass Effect 3 and its ending. However, the selling of the "good ending" as separate DLC, that was likely EA's doing.
