I never said that gay characters shouldn't be allowed. Quite frankly, keep em there. I believe these people who believe there's some "gay agenda" in Bioware games are ridiculous, a vocal minority if you will. This is not representative of the entire gaming community at all, and if you think it is, reconsider your perception on reality. Just as the quote-on-quote "SJWs" aren't representative of game journalism, the same applies this way.
I don...
How about we stop giving these trolls more spotlight, Jim? It's clear that they're complaining about nothing. If these "diverse romance options" are really a problem to these goofs, they shouldn't use them. Simple solution.
Why bring these kinds of people to the stage, Jim? Why? What's to gain? They're clearly being ignorant. Move on and quit making a big deal about something that should've never been a problem in the first place.
Okay, I'll bite: what does this guy mean by "save"?
Does he want the Wii U to be first place this gen, because I'm pretty sure that isn't happening. Does he want an increase in sales of hardware? If so, how much? How many sales does Nintendo need for this guy to feel like they validated his views?
Here's the deal: Wii U isn't gonna be first place this gen. We all know that, but it's selling. Nintendo's getting a profit an...
Yeah, still can't stand this guy, and I thought Zelda Wii U was cool at the Game Awards.
Intelligence Authorization Act DLC: Exclusively at Gamestop
Comparing a handheld that you can take with you everywhere you go to a stationary arcade cabinet that you have to travel to an arcade to play and pay to operate?
I'm sorry, but that doesn't work. Handhelds might not have the numbers of the older days, but overall, they're generating a profit for companies and devs. They're not going anywhere.
The reason that each console is different is because one console or another might not suit consumers' needs. I like the idea of having multiple consoles on the market due to them having differing and unique identities, and like others said, competition and disapproval of the standard is what convinces other companies to try and outdo each other.
Sure, it's expensive, but I'd rather have multiple good options than one all-encompassing quote-on-quote "console t...
I dunno, man. Resogun was crazy awesome all around. ;)
Still don't regret subscribing. I've gotten a ton of mileage out of Instant Game Collection alone. The PS Store discounts and cloud saves are just icing on the cake. I don't even play PS4 multiplayer much and PS+ is still worth it.
I probably won't buy it, but I'm not the one telling people what they should or shouldn't buy.
I don't have a problem with expanding what a queer female character is represented as in a game. It's when articles like this try to dictate what should be done that people start distancing themselves from this level of integration. No one's gonna join your cause when you're trying to control the topic possessively.
"written as gay"
That's already a limiting phrase and only serves to promote stereotypes. I disapprove of that phra...
Okay, it sounds to me like this article is really trying to let everyone know everything about writing for queer woman characters, and in that directorial motive, they're heavily limiting making good characters.
Here's the deal: telling someone the "right way" to make any character is the most limiting methodology of character creation ever. There is no single "right way" to do it. Same with gay men, straight women, straight men, or any other sexua...
It was confirmed as an annual event, man. Adam Boyes said it.
Not until they get Crash back.
Considering that Sony is porting Tearaway to PS4, I'm kinda surprised that Sony hasn't ported Uncharted: Golden Abyss in some way (fun game).
I'd love to check out the survey to see their barometer of what determines these statistics. How long they play games, what kind of games they play...you know, what criteria is required for anyone to classify as a gamer.
Too bad the link in the article that goes to the survey is broken, so as a result, this article's content is completely speculative.
Binary morality is flawed from the start. There's no mystery or creativity behind it. Fable wrecked it. Hell, even Fallout 3 and Infamous did it badly. It made the choices feel dull and uninventive. I like my choices to be choices where you can't predict the emotional outcome, hence why I find Telltale's approach to this so much more interesting.
Making it lose-lose is great, because it all depends on HOW you want to lose.
They already are. End of argument.
This is what will sell the device: substantial games built around Morpheus. I hope Silent Hills is Morpheus-compatible. PT with VR is a match made in heaven.
While I agree with all this, I wish Valve had been less ambiguous in their reasoning. If they addressed that they would be publishing it if it passed, maybe this point would be nailed home better.
