So basically they will make back the $70bl before the ActiBliz deal even closes. Absolutely crazy.

I guess next year will be Take 2 or Sega or both.

Most will just wait for the PC version, since they all know it's coming.

Exactly it's only a monopoly if they buy Sony and Nintendo, which won't happen.

Although if MS does get too successful it could cause Sony and Nintendo to pull out of the hardware race and just make software only, which could cause a monopoly.

No their goal is to have Game Pass everywhere.

They won't release new games on Playstation or Switch unless they allow Game Pass. In order to use streaming on Mobile you need Game Pass as well.

Sony are also a 3rd party studio with MLB as that released everywhere too.

Once the deal is done it's unlikely more COD games will be released on PS unless Sony has marketing deals still in place.

MS's goal is to only release games on devices that support Game Pass.

Sony can't afford a publisher unless they plan to do day 1 PC releases, cutting multiplatform devs to just Playstation isn't financially viable there would be a lot of redundancy.

The best they can do is buy more timed exclusives and hope MS throws them some COD crumbs.

COD being exclusive could easily cut into their sales.

Regardless this will be the last generation PlayStation outsells Xbox.

1479d ago 17 agree61 disagreeView comment

Not happening.

The best Playstation can expect is Warzone and COD 2023 after that it will be exclusive. MS has all the cards, Playstation will either do what MS want or become irrelevant.

The same thing was said about Zemimax, he can't say anything until the deal is complete.

If MS choose to keep COD on Playstation they will likely get something in return, such as a reduction of the 30% cut or Spiderman being multiplatform.

But I can't take anything Phil says seriously since it's likely all for the regulators for now.

I agree it will be very hard for Sony to do anything people clearly do not like change. You can tell by the millions of gamers still playing Fortnite and GTA5.

Sony would literally have to make Naughty Dog or Santa Monica develop the FPS so it will at least have some sort of hype behind it.

Yikes, if they believe that then they will likely not try and counter the purchase which is bad news for Playstation.

I personally believe COD will remain on Playstation until the end of the generation and it will just release Day 1 on Game Pass, but come next gen it will be exclusive.

So Sony better start reorganizing their devs to make FPSs.

Was the same with Zenimax and Mojang, companies are begging MS to acquire them. Even Discord asked MS too.

It's no wonder MS is buying everything, since everyone wants to sell.

Those gamers on Playstation will transfer to Xbox like they did during the 360 to PS4 period.

Most COD players don't care for Sony's first party they will take free COD and Sports games from EA Play over another GOW or Horizon.

MS will get all the COD revenue without having to pay PS royalties so they will actually make more than they do now.

Are we really doing this again after Bethesda like seriously. MS are a trillion dollar company.

If you want to play COD get an Xbox/PC.

The US government doesn't care if it's a US company buying another US company this law is more about stoping foreign companies like Tencent.

If they allowed Disney to buy Fox they will allow MS to buy Activision.

COD is the number 1 and number 2 selling game overall on Playstation every year, it going away will likely remove at least a tenth of Playstation's overall revenue. Thats not a gap you easily fill.

Sony will be fine but Playstation will need to do something major to survive as it will only get worse if MS buys say Take 2 or EA.

1483d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

They likely will after yesterday, if not this gen next generation they will 100% release day 1 on PC and PS6 (if Sony makes another console).

Losing COD revenue will be monumental they will need to make money somewhere.

1483d ago 0 agree5 disagreeView comment

That's really good news since it would seem Facebook probably isn't serious about purchasing game companies.

1483d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

COD fans will likely have a different opinion to you since they are always the top selling game every year.

1483d ago 3 agree11 disagreeView comment

So no HFW, GOW:R or GT7 for you then?
