The game is still in Beta in my eyes until coop and forge have been added.
l don't know of many GaaS games that have a flawless launch, in a year or so it will be fine.
Quite easily I for one am not purchasing Elden Ring because I know in a year or so it will end up on GP like most of Bandai's games.
Many people don't buy games day 1 on Xbox because of GP, this just shows that even when you exclude those gamers Xbox sales are still large. If GP didn't exist it wouldn't surprise me if the Xbox split was equal to PS.
Overall split:
41% PS
30% PC
29% XB
Crazy that a FromSoftware game is doing so well on Xbox the split is pretty close. So much for GP stunting sales.
I am surprised you are so supportive of an online only game.
Wow XSX with VRR is the best place to play overall even though the PS5 has a slight FPS advantage.
VRR is a real game changer LG C1 is the best investment for this gen.
I was like that too I still have large collections but I find that I never replay games anymore since there are so many games to play, so they just take up space.
I do still buy collector editions though.
Yeah buying games is pointless on Xbox pretty much every third party game ends up on the service now, as long as you have the patience to wait about 6months/ year you can play pretty much everything "free".
I guess it makes sense would be weird to announce buying SE, Capcom or Sega on the US one.
GTA is made by brits, the franchise is literally how people in the UK view Americas so it won't work the other way around.
Unless a US studio made it.
Put it on Game Pass and PS+ get a decent base and make a sequel.
Gamers now know it won't be like the Avengers games.
"Forbidden West's launch sales are down 35% compared with its predecessor"
Surprising considering it was released on the PS4 as well and had a massive marketing campaign.
But I am going to assume that once again these charts are meaningless since the majority of sales are digital now.
Hence why I said "play for free pretty much".
And if I wanted I could just play it for $1 which again is pretty much for free vs $70.
I'm a big Xbox fan and I had no idea it was even out.
And that launch event was over a year ago.
No, if you have Game Pass you get to play for free pretty much instead of $70. And likely some random perks too.
And if you need to gloat you can say Playstation's number one selling game is a first party Xbox game.
No wonder MS did zero marketing for it.
MS said that for the regulators but if you add Xbox and ATB revenue from last month I believe it is above Sony's or extremely close.
So it won't need much for them to be No 1 without needing to sell more consoles.
Xbox doesn't even need momentum after the ATB deal, they will be No 1 in revenue compared to Playstation/Nintendo once the deal is done.
2022 is still great but 2023 will be monumental.
If MS really does keep it on Playstation it pretty much guarantees them to be No 2 in revenue above Playstation and below Tencent. Crazy how one purchase can put you on top.
Sony aren't letting Bungie have free reign, Bungie only agreed to be brought if they were allowed to stay independent and multiplatform. That was the only reason MS never acquired them instead.
If we don't see FF16 here I guess we can say it not coming this year then.
