It's a $70bl purchase it would be more surprising if it didn't go to phase 2.
They won't this generation but when next generation starts there will be a lot of causals who only play COD and Fifa who would choose to go with Xbox + Game Pass instead of PS.
COD marketing with Game Pass will make next generation a lot more similar to how the X360 generation played out.
It is very likely due to the CMA investigation, their argument relies on subscriptions eventually becoming the dominant form of consuming games by saying this Phil is proving them wrong whether he expected subscribers to increase or not.
Yakuza and Persona do that very well.
Keep spinning all you want, facts are facts and this will be the last time I say it.
Game Pass is profitable. Period.
Anyone still struggling to comprehend that, it might be a good idea to go touch some grass.
@rippermcrip
Ask yourself this, why did Sony increase the price of the PS5? Because it's making Sony go bankrupt and they need every penny they can get, right, right?
@jznrpg
Acquisitions don't come under gaming, that money won't count towards Xbox profits it's an investment expense, and it will make it's money back very fast.
Like I repeated said Game Pass is profitable this is a fact you can all ...
You just admitted yourself that it's profitable lol.
Seriously though just be happy with your games, Game Pass is profitable just accept that and move on and if you are a MS shareholder you should be even happier.
They don't need to since it's already profitable.
Considering they delayed pretty much their entire lineup it's no surprise they missed their target.
Exactly Fallout76 is now a solid game and is going very strong now. Even game like Cyperpunk which was broken at launch is now a very solid game and CD Red are still going strong.
Starfield could launch like a broken mess but in a years time no one will care since it will be fixed by either Bethesda or mods and will be a game people will be playing for years like Skyrim.
Strange to switch from being a premier VR studio to a GaaS studio.
You would think Sony would want to keep the VR games coming so PSVR2 is successful but based on this it seems like it will end up like PSVR1, a few good games at launch then no support and a slow death.
Exactly MS confirmed Game Pass is already profitable so they don't need to nickel and dime their users.
My guess when they get rid of Gold there will be a pricing change.
So even when Xbox doesn't release a single game they still see an increase in revenue and Game Pass subs, if like they don't even need to try.
If you are not going to read the full article that's up to you, but just using common sense is enough.
You do not apologize unless you say something wrong, it's that simple.
Already debunked in the update in the article itself.
The only people who complain about these things usually are not even playing the game anyway.
The causals who play Fortnite, Warzone, Overwatch etc don't care about stuff like this as long as they have fun.
I can't believe Sony has the balls to say that the merge shouldn't happen because MS will be able to put exclusive content on the Xbox version of COD when this is exactly what Sony is doing now.
Seriously, they are acting like their 1st party lineup isn't good enough to compete with MS and that they need COD to survive.
Wow that's a lot of $1 subs if true.
I guess it really must be profitable already.
"As already seen, Nintendo does not currently rely on any content from Activision Blizzard to compete in the market. In turn, Sony has several predicates which should contribute to maintaining the competitiveness of PlayStation in a possible post-Operation scenario"
Sony can't complain about facts.
Pentiment, Somerville, Monkey Island and Ghost Song all look to be must plays. Another great half month drop.
Still playing P5R, hoping the next drop has less must play since my Game Pass backlog is getting ridiculous.
