They never promised it for PS5, if it was announced for PS5 it would have been released.
Just like how there was likely a FF7:R and FF16 Xbox version until Sony paid to cut it.

No really a mistake HFW's sales were lacking they were only mildly decent due to the forced bundling. To make the DLC worth the investment they need as many people to have free access to the game as possible. It's a similar tactic MS does with their games on Game Pass.
Sony should have spent a couple $100ml to get Valve to port HL:Alyx instead of paying for all these timed exclusives. At this rate PSVR2 will be discontinued in a year or two.
Sony can't afford that even if they wanted it.
Good go play those games while the rest of us play the Game of the Generation which is Starfield :)

Living off sales of games and hardware is a thing of the past, but like I said just wait and you will see :)
Game Pass subs are growing and that all that matters to MS, hardware sales are not as important as they used to be player count is much more important.
And more Xbox gamers are playing games that PS gamers just look at the sales of something like GT vs the players of FH the gap is growing at lightning speed.
I can't wait until the PS Showcase because the type of games going to be shown are going to open a lot of eyes of the PS fanbase.
Yep Game Pass has become pretty much essential for gaming now. So many AA/AAA games releasing Day 1 you never have to spend $70 again on a game.
The false concern is hilarious you know Xbox is doing great when fans of the competition are worried about your finances lol.
Not releasing any sales numbers so far means it sold well below their expectations, they will be lucky to surpass PSVR's 5ml lifetime.
It will be interesting if we even see any more first party VR games from them or if they let it die like Move and Vita.
We at least this puts to bed the idea that they could afford Take2 or EA.
If they are smart they should get SE but to be honest SE has been a real mess lately hopefully FF16 is a return to form for them.
Like most timed exclusives I expect this to go straight to Game Pass, looks like waiting always pays off.
No one has got GaaS fatigue, Fortnite, Overwatch, Minecraft, COD etc are still making bank. If anything gamers have chosen their games and are not looking for anything new.
Single player games are great but they are extremely expensive to make and very difficult to become profitable. Sony made a desperate move with Bungie since they needed something but come a few years from now if their service games flop they are going to be in big trouble.
COD on Playstation apparently makes more money for them than all of Sony's first party games combined so I doubt they will just block it.
But I agree they need to start making an alternative because MS will for sure eventually take it from Playstation and try and get all those users Sony paid massive marketing bucks to acquire.
