The fact that people continue to buy 360's, and that sales numbers continue to increase every month despite fierce competition, proves one simple point - games matter most. More people prefer the 360's game lineup to the PS3's. It's as simple as that.

Seems like Shift has been getting consistently solid reviews so far. Nothing wrong with that - there can never be too many good racing games as far as I'm concerned.
Here's how I see those features.
Auto-braking is clearly an option that will have to be turned on before beginning play, like suggested line or other assists. This is definitely a beginners feature, and most people just won't select the option when they play. Nearly all games have an "easy" or "beginner" difficulty level (including hardcore games like Halo). This is no different.

It's not as if PS3 has had consistently positive sales comps this year like other consoles. This is a marathon, not a sprint - one (or even two, three, or four) months are not going to save anything.

EDIT @ darkeyes - Did you read my post? I compared PS2 vs. Xbox to the current PS3 vs. 360. There are a LOT of similarities.
