Forza 3 was released with Turn 10 having full knowledge that GT5 may be released also in 2009. They weren't afraid of the competition.

But, hey, if you feel it's better for GT5 to be released against no competition...

Of course, now that GT5 will be a year late to the party, it stands to reason that it will have more features than Forza. Kind of like comparing a 2010 model car to a 2009 model. Sure, the 2010 will be more polished, but is it really a victory t...

In September, 2009, PD said GT5 was ready to release "any day now".

In January, 2010, PD says GT5 is 70% complete.

Did anything happen in the world of console driving sims in between those dates that would cause such a major retraction by PD? Oh, yeah, Forza 3 came out.

It's obvious GT5 was delayed because of Forza 3. The Forza series are the highest rated driving sims since 2001, and PD was right to delay GT5 if it wasn't as good as Fo...

So, if Best Buy advertises the PS3 in it's weekly circular, are they desperately trying to trick people into thinking that the PS3 is exclusive to Best Buy?

Both Turn 10 & PD have bad-mouthed the competition. Now, it's time to put their money where their mouth is.

Turn 10 backed up it's arrogance with Forza 3, the highest rated driving sim since 2001. Millions of driving sim enthusiasts and hundreds of reviewers & journalists would disagree that Forza is "low quality".

Let's see what PD can do when GT finally comes out. If PD considers a 92 rating to be "low" quality, they better averag...

So, making a dismissive joke about the competition, in a story that has NOTHING to do with the competition, is what you consider being mature. Interesting.

Yet, in your 2.1 comment, posted 2 minutes before this comment, you mention the competition in a reply to another person mentioning the competition.

So, I guess if a PS3 site concludes that GOW has better graphics than Reach, that would make Sony scared, right?

What a ridiculuos statement - this has NOTHING to do with MS.

1.3 - Sales = Winning?
Congrats WiiFit.

You WON!

This is coming from they guy who LOVES to bring up Gran Turismo sales vs. Forza at EVERY possible opportunity - now sales don't matter again.

Why doesn't the "Wii Fit" arguement come up when you talk GT sales?

Critical succes & commercial success - two benchmarks of a great franchise.

Congtratulations to Turn 10 on a superb game.

Not to mention EVERY Forza game is rated higher than any GT game since 2001.

It's not just a year. Don't Forget, Turn 10 released a full, highly rated Forza game in 2007 (Forza 2)- PD released only a prologue in 2008. GT5 has been in development a LOT longer than just the extra year.

BTW - you say Turn 10 doesn't deliver the same quality as PD? Forza 1,2, & 3 are ALL rated higher than the last 2 GT's (GT4 & GT5P). You have to go all the way back to 2001 to find a higher rated GT. Of course, you can always pull a Greywulf and say "revi...

You say PD "speaks with it's products". What product? The one that's going to come out a year after the competition, and still has no release date?

Look at it this way - what if Lexus introduced a 2009 model car, then Acura introduced a similar car in 2010. Would it be an accurate comparison if Acura said "Our 2010 model has more features than your 2009 model does"? Of course not - anyone with a brain knows that. The later model will ALWAYS have more fe...

You should have said "GT is the Porsche" of racing games. Oops, you can't. Maybe it can be the "Ruf" of racing games. Nah, doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Funny how you discount a 92 review average as somehow meaningless, yet you always bring up sales. You can throw sales figures around all you want, but Forza's critical success speaks for itself. Seems you'd rather play a high sales number than a great sim. Pretty sad, but nothing new.

When GT5's final car list is released, we'll do a rundown of how many duplicate car models (like Nissan Skylines) GT5 has compared to how many Forza 3 has. I think you'll be surprised at how much closer they really are.

And don't even bring up GT PSP. Sure, when you eliminate the career mode and have just 35 tracks, it's easy to bump up the number of cars.

By the way, hasn't the GT franchise sold over 55 million units? PD surely has a LOT more bribe money than Tur...

As I said in my other post, when you release a year after the competition, you BETTER include more features than the competition. I mean, Turn 10 could have waited until a year after GT5 released, and then published a list of additional features to be included in it's game as well.

It would be a different story if GT5 released at the same time as Forza 3 and still had all of those features. GT5 will have the expected additions that come with releasing a year after the competi...

Are you referring to that "barely a sequel" game that is the highest rated driving sim since 2001? As was it's predecessor? And it's predecessor before that?

When you release a game a full year after the competition, it should be an improvement. Had GT5 released around the same time as Forza 3, they would be held to the same standard. But, because GT5 will most likely release around a year later, PD will have to make improvements to justify the wait. If GT5 is "as good" as Forza 3, that will be considered a disappointment comsidering how much longer it took to produce. And Forza 3 has already set the bar pretty high (92 Metacritic - ...

Japan does matter to Nintendo & Sony, and it should - they both are very popular there, and 10-20% of their worldwide sales are from Japan.

It's a different story for MS. Fortunately, they have been able to sell more in other regions (especially NA) to offset a lack of sales in Japan. MS has done a great job of surviving this generation with just 2 viable sales regions (Europe & NA), while their competition has 3 (Europe, NA, & Japan).

"360 needs to get out of Japan NOW!"

Why? That's like saying that McDonald's & Burger Kings's sales are so much bigger than Wendy's, so Wendy's might as well just get out of the business.

Your "cars" analogy completely misses his point. If one car wins a race, there's no subjectivity to that - it's clear which car crosses the finish line first.

When it comes to graphics - especially on machines as close in technological specs as PS3 and 360 - it's all about how a certain person interprets the look of a game or games.

Comparing graphics is like asking who has a better body - Megan Fox or Jessica Alba. How could you possibly get a defini...
