You were trying to make it seem as if MS has a different way of counting sales than Sony and Nintendo do. Both MS and Nintendo released sales numbers today, and they both are reported EXACTLY the same way - "shipped", otherwise known as "sold to retailers.

Why would Nintendo choose to report todays numbers as "sold to retailers" if they really had an accurate count of how many were actually purchased by consumers?

I posted a link (1.25) ...

Nintendo reported it's Wii & DS numbers today, and they specifically mention "sold to retailers".

It was pretty dumb of him to buy rechargable batteries considering he lets his kids play for 30 minutes a week. How often was he expecting the batteries to die?

At that rate, a pack of 6 AA's would probably last them a year, and cost around $3.

You know as well as I do that a good percentage of GT's 1000 cars are just re-hashes of the same models.

DLC keeps a game fresh by adding cars that weren't available at time of the games release. For instance, Forza 2 - released in mid 2007 - had 2008 model cars added as DLC.

It's good to know that as manufacturers release new car models in the coming years, I can add them to Forza 3 via DLC.

Think about it this way. If Ferrari introduces a new m...

Do you mean the Sony people who say things like:

"beating us for a month is like accidentaly winning a point from a karate master"?

or

"people should get a second job to buy a PS3"?

Are those the Sony guys you're referring to?

DRIVING is simply getting from point A to point B, or completing a circuit, in the fastest time possible or while acquiring the most points. There may be other cars on the track, but beating them is irrelevant.

RACING is being placed on a track with a number of other vehicles, and where your success is based on how you finish in relation to the other cars on the track. Your points, or prize money, are based on how close to 1st place you finish.

Adding damage only improves the realism. Anyone who has ever watched a car race knows that no matter how perfectly a driver may drive, things can happen beyond his control. The mark of a great driver is to still win despite the carelessness of other drivers, or the inherent randomness of racing. Having to make mid-race adjustments due to the compromised handling of a damaged car is something ALL drivers have to contend with at times.

A driver can race perfect lap after perfe...

It's sadder and more pathetic that you think that paying $10-$20 for a game or games that offer more content than most $60 offer is somehow a bad thing. For what other console can a gamer spend less than $60 and get three award winning games?

Go ahead and keep overpaying for your games - 360 fans know great deals when they see them.

I give the credit for the 360's HUGE numbers to the great November software lineup. Modern Warfare 2, while a multi-platform game, was MUCH bigger on 360 than PS3. Left 4 Dead 2 was highly rated, and sold quite well. Not to mention, November was the first full month of Forza 3 after just 5 days on sale in October.

Great software sells hardware. Who would have thought it?

Based on Turn 10's track (no pun intended) record, their involvement can only improve an already great franchise.

MS has never released a Halo and Gears game in the same year - 2010 could be that year. Add in the rumored Fable 3, and three of MS's top four franchises could see releases in the same year (the other top franchise - Forza - was just released).

Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, ME2, Splinter Cell, PGR5 (likely) - 2009 isn't even over yet, and there are already more 2010 games announced (or highly likely) for 360 than were released in all of 2009.

Speaking of being blind, you obviously didn't read my second comment. I admitted that he made valid points well before you did. However, his omission of the 360's best game of 2009 - whether intentional or not - greatly reduces the integrity of the whole blog.

Then, you have the nerve to complain about personal attacks? Read the blog again. He calls Aaron Greenburg a "Zoo Keeper". Is that not a personal attack? Or, is it OK as long as Greenburg and Dan Greenwalt...

You made a blanket generalization that 2009 was a "poor" year for 360 games, then you proceeded to list your reasons why you disliked ODST, L4D2, & Halo Wars - seemingly confirming that you feel those games are poor. Maybe you don't actually feel that way, but that is the way you wrote it.

If you had said "2009 was a poor year overall, however ODST, L4D2, & Halo Wars were good, well received games", that would have been more accurate.

You didn't just forget to list one game, you forgot to list the BEST game. Every Forza article that springs up on N4G is flooded with PS3 fanboys - I find it hard to believe that you suddenly forgot that Forza 3 exists.

If I wrote a blog that was critical of the PS3's 2009 exclusive lineup, and I "forgot" to mention Uncharted 2, would you just shrug it off like you're trying to do here?

Some of your other points are actually valid. If you just stuck t...

Funny how you conveniently forgot to mention Forza 3 in your list of 2009 exclusives. Completely ignoring the 360's highest rated exclusive of the year in an attempt to make the lineup look worse makes YOUR arguement look like a pretty big pile of elephant dung.

Plus, calling ODST, L4D2, and GTA Episodes "poor" is quite a stretch. Exactly what are you basing this OPINION on? I always love how you guys make fun of the GTA4 DLC. I guess paying $20 for a game that ha...

360 was ahead of PS3 last year on Black Friday due mainly to the 360's price cut.

PS3 is ahead of 360 this year on Black friday due mainly to the PS3's price cut.

Of course, both 360 and PS3 COMBINED still lose to Wii - so much for the recent claims about declining sales and the Wii "fad" passing. All it took was a simple $50 price cut - it's first in three years - and Wii is dominating again.

ON TOPIC - according to the article, MS isn...

2010 will be a huge year for the 360. 2009 isn't even over, yet there are already as many console exclusives confirmed for 2010 (5) as were released in all of 2009. Plus, Fable 3 & Project Gotham Racing 5 are highly likely to be 2010 releases. Also, MS always makes a big announcement at E3 in June - maybe Gears of War 3. That's 7 confirmed or likely exclusives announced already, plus whatever MS announces during the year.

The GTA expansions each contain over 20 hours of gameplay - more than most full priced games offer. Is it suddenly a bad thing to pay $20, yet get more gameplay than most $60 games offer?

Just look at the guy talking about God of War collection (1.15)- it's the same thing. Lots of gameplay for a discount price.

The Project Gotham Racing games are some of the best arcade style racers I've ever played. Great graphics, smooth gameplay, lots of options. I still play PGR4 a lot, and I can't wait for PGR5 - I have high hopes now that Turn 10 is involved, considering how great the Forza games are.

After Burner Climax is a game I always wanted to play, but I've never come across an arcade unit. I'm a huge fan of the original, and most of the console ports (32X and PCEngine being the best)....
