Listen to his list of sub-HD games (for both consoles), then listen to the list of 1080p games. The sub-HD's are FAR superior in overall quality. There may be a few good 1080p games, but they can't compare to the sheer number of high quality, sub-HD games.
Also, nless native 720p games are considered, the question in the title cannot be answered in this video.
The video only discusses sub-HD (less than 720p), over-720p, & 1080p. He fails to list the number...
Introducing "whathappened" - the latest PS3 fanboy posing as a multi-console owner in a vain attempt to make his Xbox hating seem credible.
Do you mean like how PS3 fans absolutely HATE(d) Activision - especially in the last year. Now, it's a love affair. Not to mention how much you guys HATE(d) Halo - until today of course.
Do those "tables turning" count too?
EDIT @nnotdead - you're right. However, the PS3 camp was far more...
Bungie is coming to PS3 ALSO - you make it sound like Bungie will now be exclusive to PS3. 360 owners will still get Bungie games - I couldn't care less if PS3 owners ALSO get to play them as well. MS still owns Halo, so that will stay MS exclusive.
"What's left of 360 exclusives coming to other platforms"??? Do you have some secret inside details about Fable, Gears of War, or Forza coming to other platforms. Along with Halo, those are MS's big four games, not to ...
"It's funny to see the true colors of the xbox zealots."
It's even funnier to see the true colors of PS3 zealots. PS3 zealots HATE Halo, and HATE Activision even more (at least that's the impression that I get from reading these forums during the past years).
Now, the developer of Halo will work for Activision, and suddenly it a love affair between them and PS3 fans.
I agree. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick PS3 because of the better D-pad.
It doesn't fit on a DVD - it needs three DVD's. It's a 25gb game that fits on one Blu-ray - meaning it's still optimized for PS3, and then scaled back to fit on 360.
The theory that producing a 360 version led to FF13's drawbacks is full of holes.
I appreciate your replies. My opinion simply differs from yours. I don't see a developer that releases a "quicker" sequel than their competitor as somehow being an admission that the previous product was inferior. Two years is pretty much the industry standard for sequels. Just because PD takes 5 years doesn't make 5 years the standard, and consequently make any sequel released in less than 5 years automatically considered "rushed".
Whether it be GT, Forz...
"And if forza is realy good as "some" make it out to be, then they wouldnt need to release a damn sequal every other year."
Replace "Forza" with "Uncharted" or "Resistance" and you'll see how ridiculous that comment is. Not to mention, isn't Killzone 3 rumored for next year, just 2 years after Killzone 2?
If you are already an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you don't have to pay again for Netflix.
Some people act like Netflix requires a separate Gold subscription (look @1.6).
Gold subscribers already pay to play the games - Netflix is just a bonus.
I'm sure Game Stop lists unconfirmed release dates simply so they are able to process pre-orders in their computers.
Pre-orders are a huge part of Game Stop's business, and as long as there is a reasonable certainty that the game is actually going to be released in the next 6-8 months, Game Stop doesn't care about an actual confirmed release date.
You really believe that, during the next 8 months, PS3 will be reduced in price to $199, while 360 will remain stagnant in price?
Wow, and you call me ignorant.
How??
Deduct Japanese sales from each console's total & you'll see. Wii would lose about 15% of it's base, PS3 would also lose about 15% of it's base, while 360 would lose only about 4%.
I like this remake of After Burner.
And yeah, Galaxy Force & Thunderblade would be awesome remakes. I'd love to see a new Power Drift - I've always enjoyed that game.
I would have phrased it as "Japan is unimportant to the 360". Which is true - PS3 & Wii need Japan to survive, 360 does not.
I'll debunk it. You say "just wait until PS3 hits $199". What about 360? Are you just assuming it will never have another price drop of it's own? What do you think will happen when 360 cuts $100 off of it's price?
To be fair, if you are going to forecast a $100 PS3 price drop, you have to give the same allowance to the 360 as well. That would be reality.
If PS3 had launched along side 360 in 2005, it would have cost more than $500-$600 because Blu-ray technology would have been more expensive in 2005. We all know that prices drop over the years.
PS3 probably would have launched at $700-$800 in 2005. You can't just use 2006's numbers and assume they would have been the same in 2005.
@above - maeningless? To you maybe. You can't adjust a launch date by a year and just assume all other factors would have remaine...
Why? Sony averages 5 1/2 years between introductions of consoles (5 years between PS1 and PS2, and 6 years between PS2 & PS3).
If MS introduces a new console with the same frequency that Sony does, why would that make you laugh?
EDIT @ below - so, you would consider a company that releases a new console after 5 or 6 years to be "giving up"?
Halo is ALWAYS a system seller.
When ODST came out in September, 360 sales had a huge jump, even though this was also the same month that the PS3 slim came out. If ODST - which is just an expansion of Halo 3 - can move consoles, then Halo Reach, which is an entirely new story, will certainly move a lot of hardware.
GT5 will most likely be PS3's biggest system seller as well, so they will probably even out (or close to it) in the end.
EDIT @ below...
"Jerks who buy full priced expansions"? You're obviously referring to Halo 3:ODST.
Funny, you don't seem to have a problem with people who spend $40 (2/3 of full price) on a "prologue" which is less than 1/10th of a complete game - or at least what the competition's full games consist of.
Enjoy your "Kung Fu Panda" in 1080p. I'm sure 360 owners are crying that it's only 720p on 360. Yeah, resolution is SO important. That's why both 1080p lists suck overall - the sub-HD's are better games.
