I could perfectly understand someone not liking killzone 2, and putting a well constructed argument as to why it is not going to be the best fps this year. But when someone just blurts out a complete rant like this it just fails to convince anyone.

Killzone 2 is a great game, but what's wrong with hoping for an even better game! If Killzone 2 is beaten by another FPS this year, with the strongest known contender probably being Modern Warefare 2, then us, the gamers win! more great games, what wrong with that.
But apparently too many Sony / Killzone 2 fans don't want the world to progress past killzone 2. insecurity maybe? i duno.

There is a big difference between Fashion & Design industry, good design is good design is timeless. MacBook Pro's and Power Macs have had the same shell / casing for nearly 10 years, yet they don't look dated. Fashion can change multiple times a year. lol, there are next to no compatibility issues with Macs and OS X because apple have such a tight control over hardware. Where windows Vista had tons of compatibility issues at launch, most of which I believe are solved now. but just makes you point a bit invalid.
Viper 7 is right all the way, each system has there own strengths and weakness depending on what you want to use a system for...

I never really thought about that before, I've had the occasional program locking up on me in OS X, and had to force quit it, but never have I had to do a force restart. and that's in 6 years of using OS X, so don't know what this gimp is doing to have a crash every day. I'd say I experience something like 'Illustrator unexpectedly quit' about once a month at most
Macs are pretty good as a work machine, if you are looking for a gaming machine, go with windows, simple.
in macs, upgrading Hard Drive and Ram is straight forward. But unless you have a Mac Pro / Power Mac you're going to have a lot of trouble getting to the graphics card and processor.
Simple answer is gamers should always go for Windows, people who like to tweak and customise there systems should go for Windows or Linux. Macs just aren't built for that crowd.
The only reason normal PC's can't run OS X is because OS X is locked to apple hardware. Windows is not locked to any hardware. if apple were to remove the locks OS X could probably run on a much wider range of hardware, although then lots of compatibility issues would appear with wrong graphics cards / motherboards etc.

disagree with you, the last reason I bought a macbook pro was for it's looks (they are nice, but I don't care about that) I bought it because it's industry standard in design industry, and this sort of environment where macs shine, with great creative software. yes there is also great creative software on PC too, but this is the industry macs are built for.

I think apple make more reliable products then MS, (hardware, iPod to 360, not getting into an OS debate) but in no way are apple perfect. my 3 year old Macbook pro is on it's 3rd battery, and i've just had to order new heat sinks for it as they vibrate like crazy making it so noisy!

That sounds like my laptop currently sounds! the fan has come loose and vibrates loads while spinning at 4000rpm plus, sounds like the fans in his too.
