surely fans already fund game development? by buying the game after it is published? and we vote for the content we want in a game that way too! we buy the games that have content we want! simple!
What gabe is asking for us to do is fork out money up front with out any idea of how good the game will be!
exactly my thoughts, it's must be bad enough for developers who take gamers input seriously to filter through the crap or over the top ideas which just don't work. image how those gamers would feel if they invested money into a project and there ideas where ignored...!!!
Half Life 2 Episode 3 would be a good start too!
I thought valves idea of episodic content was to publish shorter sequels or 'episodes' on a yearly basis.

"i dont think the conduit is the best wii game at all but that attitude doesnt help"
that is a ridiculous statement! we are the consumers, it's up to the developer to make a game which we want to buy, and then it's up to the publisher to advertise the hell out of the game so we know about it!
we don't have to buy a product just because the developers tried there best! they are not a charity! if they don't produce the goods, they don't g...
it all just sounds like PR spin to try and convince the gaming public that it's justifiable for activision to put the price up, straight after they bad mouthed sony for charging too much for the PS3...
Sorry but doesn't the PS3 costs so much per unit to build which is comparable to the RRP, where as a game probably costs no more than £5 per unit to produce, I know most of the cost of a game comes from R&D so they need to cover there costs for that, but the PS3 would of c...
Wouldn't it be funny if it was his first kill in the game!
I would question that multiplatform games are better on 360, originally yes no doubt, but now they are more a less the same on both platforms. for me it's not a question of does the 360 have decent games, or decent exclusives. It's a matter of I work hard for my money, and have no intention of buying shoddy hardware with it!
Do the benefits of being a 360 owner really out weight the fact that it's more than likely going to break on you? and not only once!
I can think of a better article,
'Why does every 360 owner need a PS3!'
because one day the 360 will break out of warranty and they'll need something else to play!
Seriously I don't understand why some people accept such shoddy hardware, I don't hate 360 games, they are awesome, I like Xbox Live, although I don't play games enough to warrant paying to play online, and the 360 does have some classic exclusives! But I will never waste my hard earned cash o...
That looks amazing for an iPhone game, only thing that bugs me about the idea of iphone game is the fact that to control the game I have to cover part of the screen with my fingers.
admittedly I have never played an iphone game so I'm not speaking from experience, only from what I expect it to be like.
A very bad fake if you ask me!
When I checked Battlefield website now it says
360 kill count 1,300,000
PS3 Kill count 900,000
roughly,
made me think, maybe the count I am seeing is only for UK, or maybe Europe? and America and other places have there own individual count, so maybe the total count could still possibly be 5million,
Either way, there are still plenty of players on PS3 for me to enjoy the game, and I haven't received a single problem yet :) apparent f...
strange, because on the battlefield website it's got a killcount for the build up to release of the new level! and 360 is on 1.3 million and PS3 is on 0.9 million kills, so I don't know where the 5 million in first day came from, one of the sources has to be incorrect.
Great Response, who needs gore when you're playing a great game!
What a surprise, anyone who takes play.com release dates seriously is just silly. Play.com has been listing Gran Turismo 5 with a release date for quite a while, i checked it out a month or 2 ago.
I don't know what I'm more surprised at, the fact that a website is desperate enough to get hits to list this as news, or that people are gullible enough to believe Sony & Polyphony would not announce a release date to the public, but play.com would know the release date first!
Agreed 100%!!!! it's not a perfect port, but it's far from broken! a few frame rate issues is the worst of it really. and it had slower loading times, but that doesn't exactly break a game!!
They have ambition, I'll give them that!
I'd like to see it receive moderate success, on the PC gaming scene it would beat having to keep a PC up to date to play the latest games on the highest settings. But I don't see it replacing consoles, plus bandwidth issues and broadband caps are all going to be causing it problems. wait & see.
256mb of RAM in a phone! ha!
my first PC came packed with 64mhz processor & 16MB of RAM, I can't even remember what the hard drive size was, but it was definitely significantly under 1GB, it's amazing how quickly things advance!
@ Hellangelzx
I agree with you, The race was probably done using no A.I. drivers but all set to a predeterminded route where everything happens exactly on que at the right exact moment down to the last mili second. It was never done with A.I. Drivers or real drivers, if it was then that's insane, because even doing this with predetermind routes, programing this in must of taken forever!
@ qface64
Cool, I was unaware of this. Still doesn't solve the problem of trading games in, but that's something console manufactures and game developers are trying to stop anyway. But as long as there is at least some healthy competition in the market place, and we're not all forced to pay RRP
Theme Hospital all the way!
