What a surprise, developers who spend a considerable amount of their working life working on racing games pay attention to other developers working on racing games, it's not like they have anything in common or anything?
Both development teams share a passion for the genre, it's no surprise they are going to be interested in each others work.
How can preorders slide up 500% after availability? surely before they were available to preorder, the number of preorders were 0, therefore 500% of zero is zero?

What do visuals have to do with the overall quality of the game?
If you read the article you would realise it's not just a case of switching disks! one disk is installed on the system, and the other disk is the main disk! meaning people with 20gb systems and not much free space! or people with arcade systems without a hard drive.
They won't be able to access the full features of the game.
It's not about simple swapping disks, that wouldn't be as bad.

What a day for PSP, Gran Turismo finally! Final Fantasy 7 Via PSN! and now a new Metal Gear Solid! Woot Woot!
I might actually have to buy a PSP now!
60% complete! seriously! I was hoping to see this game this year, but I have my doubts now, looks sure to be another 2010 game now at earliest.
On a serious note, Nintendo's wii adverts sing high production values & clever art direction, I really thought the MS presentation fell flat on it's face, this video should of been so much better, especially if they want to capture the casual market. /opinion
As for the technology itself it looks awesome, but I said it earlier, it'll only be as good as the games developed for it. :)

I've not read anywhere yet that Kojima isn't directing it? i've had a look at a few sources, but nothing seems clear on that to me, so i must of missed something.
If Kojima isn't directing it then I would be worried. it's just not Metal Gear with out Kojima, hopefully he has an involvement in it, like producer. keeping an eye on the developement making sure it is kick ass.
Also a few sources seem to indicate it's coming to PS3 as well, but no announcement yet, hopefu...
nearly every single character in the metal gear solid universe has more backstory than most lead protagonist in nearly all other games...
Raiden is bad ass, and has already had an entire metal gear solid game based on him, this game will be awesome, and well worth your money
Does anyone remember how long roughly between an announcement of a Metal Gear Solid Game, and launch of that game? I'm thinking years :(

I never really thought about price competition? if you can only get games from PSN for the PSP GO, that means there is no competition for pricing, Sony can charge what the hell they like.
The simple solution would be to open the doors for retailers to sell products direct download to PSP, like say instead of buying a game for your PSP go off PSN, you go online and get it from game.com, or maybe even a way to buy it in store and transfer to your PSP?
As for used games...
