There was one time when I actually entered a server when no one from my team wants to use the jets. I soon discovered why. The enemy jets are hovering over our airfield all the time and killing anyone from taking off. I persevered. Got killed a lot of times when getting on the jet (20 deaths and I haven't got a single kill). Terrible night but at least I've unlocked the flares and IR missles. With those I managed to get a few kills and stay alive longer.
In the next m...
The bad guys in RE4 and 5 are caused by some infectious organism inside the body. Called La Plagas or something.
Everyone agreed they are still technically zombies.
Personally, I don't actually hate GFWL. It's pretty decent. Of course, I'm a late comer so I didn't experienced the woes of early adopters that I've been hearing of.
I have a number of GFWL and Origin games in my PC. A LOT of Steam games.
...no Ubisoft.
The only thing that does bother me about GFWL is that it reminded me of Microsoft's lack of support in PC gaming. Alan Wake started it all. I've spent years buildi...
Industry standard? Even Microsoft is seemed ashamed of its own DX11. How many Microsoft games actually supported DX11 this year alone?
Event Microsoft's partner to death, Epic, has a true DX11 capable version of the Unreal Engine 3 (Samaritan/U3.9) but they are saving it up for the XBox Next.
Other developers have to implement their own DX11 into the older version of the engine, e.g Batman Arkham City.
This indie effort looks interesting...
I think it's more than that. Maybe Iran is experiencing a sort of adrenaline shot/ego boost with the recent events that are not too kind the US - the downing of a UAV and the Pakistan military base bombardment. This "Attack on Tel Aviv" thing seem to be a trap/taunt to get the US and Israel to do more mistakes.
It's like beating a man while he's down.
Why Tel Aviv? Obviously the Iranians are angry about some imaginary US force attacking Tehran but why is their reply is to make a game that attack a country that have nothing to do this mess?
Shouldn't they make "Attack on New York"? Of course, New York have been destroyed in hundreds of games before but, again, why Tel Aviv?
@Shackdaddy836
They would most likely sell it to China. China have been actively looking for the latest stealth tech available. Weeks after the stealth Blackhawk crashed in Pakistan, China "generously" gave Pakistan a squadron of advanced jet fighters to help them fight the insurgents.
I wouldn't be surprise to see a Chinese delegation would appear in Iran in the next several weeks.
Generals have always been my favourite over the other C&C titles. The others were great but they started to get over the top in their recent sequels.
Generals felt nice since it showed real world vehicle and settings with a slight sprinkle of fantasy. Glad to see Generals 2 will use Frosbite 2 to add a little more realism.
Now I see it as the missing Commander role from BF3....
This has become an epidemic in recent PC games, though. Age of Empires Online, Mechwarrior Online, Ghost Recon Online are prime examples. I suspect there are more on the way. I think the MS Flight simulator reboot will also emphasize on online social gameplay. Even Gabe Newell once said that singleplayer won't be a big thing in future Valve games (he quickly retracted that comment but the damage is already done).
Personally, it's worrying. Sure, I enjoy mp very much ...
A survival mode on a research island. Two opposing teams are trapped. They must race to be the first to repair generators that would power up the electrical fence. Just tanks and jeeps. Along the way they will be pursued and harassed by dinosaurs. The first team to arrive at the main camp can turn on the fence and leave their opponents outside to face their end to an endless horde. The winning team just sit back, watch and laugh maniacally at their futile attempt.
All this d...
As a standalone device, I'm skeptical. As a supplementary controller, maybe.
Use your standard mouse/controller to aim and shoot while the optical controller as a tagger (like the "Q" button in BF3) or as a target designation system (useful in Mech games or flight sims).
Interesting to see where this might lead to.
Good enough...
This is quite the case with Crysis 2. Enemies keep respawning in seconds and exactly behind me, vice versa. In certain maps I usually pressed the spawn button immediately after being killed without bothering to change the loadout since I know I'll be exactly behind him afterwards. Cheap kill but it's still a kill nonetheless.
BF3 on the other hand kept repawning me in front of the enemy or in the middle of the enemy group that had just killed me, making defending a po...
Finally a DRM that actually punish the pirates instead of the legit owners.
Still....remaking a game that used the same game engine it started with is kind of a rip off. Might as well make a HD texture patch for the old game and sell it as DLC.
Third person + CoD = originality...
What?
What do we call Gears of War (and the other third person shooters out there), then?
At least they're not zombies.
Ubisoft DRM effects : There are no Ubisoft games (from March 2010 until now) in my PC.
I'm using a crack for my legally bought Singularity since I find it a hassle to insert to disc (and swapping it to play another game). What's the point of wasting gigabytes of hard disk space and time installing the game if it still depend on the disc to play it.
The latest one to use this is Batman Arkham City. Doesn't matter if I a valid account with GFWL, ...
In Firestorm and Caspian, I used the Zoom Optics since I'll be engaging enemy tanks from far away. Using IRNVs in those maps is rather pointless since I'll be avoiding the roads (thus avoiding mines) and the horrible shades of white affect made range estimation hard.
Demavand and Tehran Highway are the opposite. You have no choice but go through one or two roads thus encountering mines all the time. They are dark and tight - not a very good place for a tank when every...
The PS3 was touted as the cheapest high-end processors that some universities used in scientific research. Even the US Air Force use Linux on the PS3 to test some form of cheap multi-core supercomputers.
I guess now that the PS3 can pay for itself then those researchers can suck it then.
