"Until MS gets its cock out of PC Gaming's ear..."

With M'soft merging the LIVE system (X Box and Windows) into Windows 8 that it really really need to have a chance against Android and iOS.....good luck with that.

It's bad enough Windows is late and lagging behind in the lucrative mobile devices business but trying to sell Windows 8 and then telling the PC crowd to "Frak off!"...is not really a wise thing to do.

I'm currently tracking my ordered copy...it's just arrived in a city just 3 hours from the town where I live in...which means I'll get to play it tomorrow.

..sad..started replaying Arkham Asylum last night and punching those inmates to vent my impatience.

Actually they did proposed one viable anti piracy method years ago. Intel and Microsoft did try to standardized hardware and software in the latest Pentium 4 cpus/chipsets so that only legit software can be installed on a PC. Unfortunately Intel was being bitch slapped by AMD while M'soft was plagued by some anti trust cases so it ended a pipe dream. The idea didn't die. Sony took noticed (maybe)and implemented the system in the PS3.

Pirates don't bitch about DRM...

With Microsoft just silently put out an updated anti piracy codes in the latest X Box 360 update....which was just several days ago.

Agree with Hicken.

ATM the ASEAN countries are in a tight pickle. The Spartly Isles is said to possessed billions of untapped natural resources, although theoretically and China has its eyes on it. It's bad enough that the ASEAN countries are fighting each other over these islands, now they have China with millions of troops (and another billions in reserve) and far superior technology butting in. China is the farthest from these isles so it claimed the whole South China ...

Yes the drones kill hundreds of civilians. What about the car bombs? I've read a lot of news media and they always highlight US actions while the insurgents' actions seem to be ignored. Drones killing a family on a mountain - blame the US. Insurgents setting off a bomb in a market - blame the US.

But since we're gamers here posting in an article about Battlefield 3 in a gaming site: Remember how hard it is for us to maintain battlefield discipline in any BF games...

I've only seen the hate-mongering articles and funny glitches videos about the beta and they don't affect my purchase of the game. My decision was based on DICE's excellent support for earlier Battlefields and not on a single crappy beta.

Can't let one bad experience spoil the whole game for me, especially when games can be patched up later.

...at least it's not Rage...

Ah.. the XNA toolset...When I first read about it I was excited because it promised smoother development process for Microsoft games between the X-Box and Windows. It promised the ease for users of the toolset to make games for both platforms. A PC games built using the XNA can easily modified to become an X box game, vice versa. I was hoping that XNA would bridge the rift between X Box gamers and PC gamers by making porting games efficiently between the two platforms.

Then y...

American Presidents using false information to start wars. They have lied and mislead everyone to get what they want.

Iran secretly making underground nuclear enrichment facilities slightly larger than a commercial one should be capable of. At the same time calling for the quick destruction of one of its neighbour.

What's make any of them trustworthy? What's make any of them the good guy?

Running around with a 60 tonne death machine carrying a 120mm cannon rolling nearby is not the most ideal situation for a foot soldier. I guessed I'm pampered by Bad Company 2 where I can easily shrug off any helo attack in a tank. In BF3, even the Little Bird's tiny miniguns seem to be able to inflict huge damage to a tank quickly (they are even more powerful than BC2's helo gunner's 30mm cannon).

Another contrast is that I can aim easier in BF 3's tanks ...

There are many ways to tell a story (whether in gaming, movie or even literature). I enjoyed the way Bioshock first introduced the tape recorder stuff to add more flesh to the story. Then when other game started to copy that feature, it annoyed me. Who would leave tape recorders lying around with the hope someone might find them and be interested in their predicament. Some even recorded their feelings during battle or while fleeing the enemy. Then they leave the recording behind, full of sens...

"You should no longer spawn too close to enemies in TDM, SQDM, or Conquest"

Nice. I thought it was some sort deliberate game feature like they did with Crysis 2. No wonder it's hard to defend points when enemies are capturing it. Hate it in Crysis 2 (with enemies respawning just behind you after you killed them)and glad to know they are fixing this for BF3.

Not really sure about the air vehicles though. I feel extremely vulnerable in tanks when...

About the PC vs Consoles.....i know it's hard to swallow but consoles can't live without the PC. No matter how hard console gamers put their fingers in their ears and shouting "lalalalala" loudly, it's still the hard fact.
Developers still need PCs to write down the codes, made textures and even tryout the game first before testing it on the consoles. I wonder what kind of PCs they use to develop those games anyway? A high end one or one using cheap ass component...

"this is a prototype device "

ahh....I just saw one on sale in the online shop that I frequently go to...and the article itself just said the Hydra is being sold as a fully fledged gaming device...

Weird article.

Nice to see there are many options to play with games. Hope Hydra will get the attention it needs.

Yes, I know it's supposed to be/will be a Universal controller once released.

I haven't seen a Gran Turismo game by Polyphony on the PC though. Shouldn't games also be universal as well? Not just limited as an exclusive to one particular platform.

Can't you give PC gamers some slack?

The consoles have tons of EXCLUSIVE games that are not available for current PCs.

What else do you want?

Alimony?

Nice...accelerated destruction compared to current maps. Tanks are sure going to have a hard time fighting in an urban location like that.

I smiled a lot in the Tehran Highway maps. Especially when playing against the US. There will always be some guys with their flashlights on all around the US's uncap hill.

When I press "Q"..they are always snipers. Snipers on a surrounded hill at night with their nuclear powered flashlights telling us where they are. No need IRNV for that. Unless they can take off their flashlight and leave it on the ground to deceive us...
