There's so little from them to show their support for PC gaming other than rebooting PC classics into Free-to-play games, Age of Empires Online for example, while the X Box 360 gamers get the blockbusters and exclusives. M'soft even seems to be ashamed talking about DX11. Not really sure what the word is. Off-putting?

Strangely enough I found myself not really hating GFWL. I guess I'm lucky not to have experienced the early broken versions of GFWL to be a hater. ...

Couldn't agree more.

Treat us like what Ubisoft is doing to the PC now, well...it deserved the backlash. I still haven't forgiven Microsoft for cancelling Alan Wake for the PC. When Remedy wants to release it for the PC this year, it's still a NO from me. I won't be flocking to buy it even if it turns out to be a PC master piece. Microsoft have the balls to deny the PC the initial release and this time around Microsoft is not even involved for the PC developme...

I don't mind multiplat games as long as the PC version doesn't get shafted in the process (horrible graphical/control optimization, extremely late release -1-3 months delay, Ok. Years in doubtful release? No, thanks). I don't even mind (or surprised) hearing the Witcher 2 is being developed for the X Box 360. I really wanted for the consoles to release their exclusive titles for the PC and I'm sure there are console gamers who really wanted for some of the PC exclusives (as fe...

I'm a hard core PC gamer and yet I helped two of my friends get into consoles instead. I helped one of them to buy a PSP explained to him about the differences between the PC and the PS3 (sorry, he wasn't interested with the X-Box 360). In the end I encouraged him to get a PS3.

This year, a close friend asked me to help him build a decent gaming PC. I'll do my best.

I don't see any good reason to hate what other people like. They wouldn't ...

I've just upgraded my PC into a new build (i5 2500K). Only the casing is the oldest part of the PC which was bought in 2004. Last December I bought myself a GTX570 so I have finally phased out the old components. I spent the first day with the 570 testing it out on some old games from the early DX9 era. I don't why. Yes, it's a travesty for such a card.

Not wanting to leave the old components (Q6600 cpu and a HD5850) gathering dust, I put them in an older casing ...

2 years later the PC finally got Alan Wake. Years later the console gamers finally got to play the first Crysis.

Do you really think the UC series won't ever come to the PC?

Stranger things have happened in the gaming world

The most probable flashpoint between US and China would be the South China Sea. The nations around the area (ASEAN) have became neutral during the Vietnam War to avoid picking sides and became embroiled in future wars.

The neutral stance worked and most of them are some of the richest among the developing countries.

Unfortunately, China now have its eyes on the tiny pieces of islands called Spartly which is full of, presumably, raw materials like untapped ga...

Being loud is what make or break something. That's what advertisements or demonstrations are all about. Anonymous wouldn't be famous if they do all their shenanigans quietly, don't they? Why do you think indie gamers under X Box Live are being loud atm? Because Microsoft is not shouting loud enough for them to help and sell their games properly.

PC gamers have spent quite a number of money to get their latest hardware to play games as high as possible only to have...

Wasn't there an article a couple of weeks ago with a Top 10 list of major gaming studios/publishers and their earnings for 2011? The one with Ubisoft sitting at the last spot and acquiring only 1 billion dollars in revenue while the other guys have tens and hundreds of billions?

Here we have an article talking about Ubisoft besting those guys. Ubisoft? Who is last in the revenue list...

I bought The Witcher 2 and connected my PC to the living room's 42inch HDTV.

The first scene to come up was when Geralt and his woman were playing around on the bed. Luckily the family was out and I haven't connected the sound yet.

DICE should really beef up the AA guns in bases. I understand that they are positioned facing away from the main battlefield to prevent campers from ruining the pilots' fun but why are they so pitifully ineffective in defending their own base? I've seen too many times a jet would dive steeply over a base, strafe a friendly jet that is taking off and fly so close to the ground that the AA gun only have seconds to react.

Adding a static Stinger or two in the base might ...

There's already a Skyrim Online Mod that "allow" multiplayer/online interactions to a certain degree. I read that it's a bit buggy but playable.

Having multiplayer in every game is not that bad. Multiplayer is an extension to the singleplayer campaign like in Two World 2. I've explored new areas and fought different beasts in multiplayer compared to the singleplayer. A bit lonely though since I mostly met German players so I couldn't join into a raid...

PC for me since it got me started in gaming with Starcraft and Counterstrike. Had I been bitten by the controller instead of a mouse first then I might be a console gamer right now. Tried the PS2 and add an X-Box 360 controller to my PC...not my cup of tea.

One man's honey is another man's poison...something like that.

Another minor thing that I remember is that the PS3 GPU is a custom Nvidia graphic card. A couple of months after the PS3 was launched Nvidia released the next generation of said card for the PC. Which means the PS3 GPU was already one generation outdated just months after launch.

That was 5 years ago.

I mistaken put a stick of RAM in the wrong direction once. I didn't noticed the mistake since I was in a hurry. Catastrophic result : there was a lot of fire, smoke and brimstone when I pressed the on button. Luckily it was the PC at my office and it was still on warranty. A week at the shop and brand new mobo+ram got it going again.

Still haven't told anyone what REALLY happened...please keep it a secret.

There so much power in the PC but no one wanted to exploit it to the fullest. DX11 and 64 bit cpu/OS have been available for years and yet so few games utilize it.

Even Skyrim seem to forget that the PC can have up to 4gb of ram. Only modders seem to be pushing these things but they are too few/fragmented and too silent to do any good.

I have moved around my Steam folder several times this year alone (I just discovered that you can do that). First it I moved it to bigger and faster drive since the default is getting full. Then a virus messed up my Windows, prompting a reformat and re-instal. The Steam folder is still in the unaffected drive. Recently I migrated to Windows 7 and a much newer drive.

It all took reinstalling the Steam client and verifying your account. So far no lock out.

Left 4 Dead.

Huge zombies that crash through walls. Zombies that climb up walls and lunge at humans. Zombies that ride behind people's back. Zombies that spew goo at you.

These are not your typical shuffling zombies but zombies nonetheless.

I was on the first and second part of your comment. The third one....no.

No OMG from me. Not even a FU. A simple "meh" would suffice.

A bit too late for me to care anymore.

Thanks, Microsoft. For making a bitter gamer out of me.
