Nice engine choice. Still don't like the Online bit though. Not much of a clanner so I don't I'll survive alone.

I've wondered why there aren't any smoke and flash grenades in BF3. Would've made Metro a little bit less monotonous with these siege breaking devices. I know mortars has smoke but using mortar indoors? Or put smoke canisters on EOD bots.

I seldom get long range hits when using the IRNV. It's too wobbly at range and it's hard to see where your shots land (lost of depth perception)or how the target if positioned since everything's a shade of green.

At long range I simply use the scope as a spotting and suppression device. I held off numerous enemies attacking my position once with IRNV. I had few kills but a lot of suppression and spot assists.

Maybe adding some flashbangs or flare...

I have stopped playing the singleplayer. Can't remember where I left off in the SP...I remember being a F-18 back seat driver who for some strange reason is manning the jet's gun and then an incursion into Iran...meh

Too busy with the multiplayer to care.

I do wish they have offline/private maps for practice with aircraft controls. Just an empty map with buildings and static vehicles to blast would be fine. No need bots if they fear pirates would bene...

I was torn between Skyrim and Batman Arkham City (PC). Spent weeks looking at articles, previews and videos to decide which one to pre order first.

Then I saw a Skyrim screenshot of some skeletons in a cave...the cave walls looked kinda similar like the ones in Oblivion and Fallout 3. For some strange, unknown reason the cave textures in those games "offend" me/made me loose interest. Caves from other RPGs, even Torchlight, doesn't that same effect on me. Don...

Realism in games is a rather touchy subject. As much as I enjoy combat flight sims, I usually turn off the fuel realism mode since, yeah, why the hell I spent long minutes to get to the action only to have the plane telling me "Bingo Fuel" a minute later. But games like HAWX with 100 missles (at least) per plane is far too unrealistic for my taste since it always grind to the usual spin around in 360 until you find an enemy, fire/evade, repeat the circling.

This is why permanent online DRM is a bad idea.

Online accounts are too susceptible to attacks no matter what security measure they use. A good balance of online support with offline play is the key. Anchoring a whole game to an online connection is just asking for trouble. The moment a server is attacked/ or shut down for maintenance, gamers can't play the singleplayer. The more damage done, the longer the gamers suffer.

Look at Steam. It's under a...

"Who cares if high end PC's are more powerful than the consoles. "

Well, Sony and Microsoft's research teams who are currently trying to design the next gen consoles do care. Where else are they going the proper, cost effective parts for your PS4 and X Box 3? In this kind of economy it would be foolish (budget wise) to try and design your own parts from scratch when there are tons of readily available.

All the money PC gamers "waste&qu...

They're better than Oblivion but they have really sharp/flat cheeks. All of them(in the screenshots).

"The fans do not care about having amazing graphics"

Uncharted 3 looks better than Uncharted 2 or 1. Gear of Wars 3 looks better than Gears of War 2 or 1. So does Resistance 3 compared to 2 or 1.

They are all sequels and yet they look better and better with each iterations. Their fans still loved them even with the hated "better" graphics.

So, why can't CoD at least try to do the same?

Good to hear that.

What did the sniper do near the end of the video? He threw something into the air and a guy somehow died from far away.

Was it a grenade? I did noticed that the knife is missing from the inventory after the throw.

A heat-seeking combat knife?

@etownthree
I hear they are converting (CDP doesn't like to use the word "porting")it to be on par as the PC version. Not sure whether that includes the Uber settings that drove my 3D card mad. The free DLC on the other hand might be of a trouble, though. Microsoft seem to hate free DLCs.

I had hoped that Skyrim would be at least comparable to the Witcher 2 but after seeing the system requirement, I do have my doubts. Still, I will buy it. Why not. A goo...

I'm always confused by those flash lights and laser pointers. Whenever one flashes at the corner of my view I would stop and look at it or dive for the dirt, half expecting an enemy just beside me. Instead it's just a team mate jogging beside me. What a waste of suspense.

The one time when I do like torchlight is when a sniper/assault forgot about his to turn off his when he is huddled behind some rock. Like a beacon telling everyone where to shoot at. I especially l...

"Gameplay is more important than graphics in the end. "

aahhhh...haven't heard that sentence in a while. They (some of the console gamers) always say that. There's a shred a truth with that comment and yet the moment a console exclusive with beautiful grahpics comes out (Unchartered 3, Gears of War 3, Resistance 3, Red Dead Redemption, Rain, Alan Wake-take your pick), you can't wait to shove it on the PC's face.

Really. Everyone repe...

Let's dissect the article :

-ARM is for low powered processors like smart phones and tablets.

-The article mentioned "Zune HD-like hardware platform".

Wouldn't that mean the next X-Box might actually be a mobile gaming platform like the PSP? A tablet like X-Box 720 perhaps?

It might be bogus but Microsoft did moved and integrated Windows Live into the X Box Live platform.

I'm a PC gamer ...

Batman AA and Skyrim.

Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, BF3, Dead Space 2, Deus Ex HR - had my fill of shooters for the whole year.

Need to catch up on my quota in slicing and dicing monsters (and punching creepy clowns) for 2011.

I love FADE. It forced me to buy the original and throw away the pirate version. Don't judge me. The game was unavailable for months (nearly a year) in my place. By the time it was available, it only lasted for a couple of weeks on the online order list before taken out. The online shop then replaced it with the Arma2 + Arrowhead expansion pack.

As a former pirate, I've seen those blurring effects and some warning appear on the screen telling me about that possibility...
