"...the entire package and not just the single player.."
So were the reviews for BF 3 and yet it's painfully obvious that the SP that brought it's scores down from perfect.
Besides the article doesn't talk about "...the entire package.." It mentioned nothing about the graphics. Or sound. Or Elite. Wouldn't those missing features make the article more of a full review covering EVERY aspect the game?
Why wou...
Corridor maps are unavoidable though. War don't just happen exclusively in wide open plains or desert.
But I agree on the nerfed destruction. The Bazaar map, for example, is great but there's so much un-openable and indestructible doors that it is frustrating since they present so much game changing potentials. I hate it when the game just boiled down to simply holding the alleyway and spamming rockets and grenades at each other.
At least BF has the...
Nice blood effects.
The other day I successfully captured a flag in Battlefield 3 all by myself. What a proud personal moment. Then, an enemy tank stopped right next to the flag, trying to recapture it. No problem. It doesn't have a second gunner so I'll RPG it to bits from my hiding spot. A second tank suddenly appear before I could do anything. Followed by a third one. Then, the Tunguska AA tank joined the trio.
No. That's one firefight I'll have to pass.
The m...
Blizzard is looking like trying to appease the Chinese market. Western gamers are becoming uninterested with the game but there still 200 million potential consumers waiting in China. All they need to do is prep them with some Asian elements in the game.
Pandas. China. Asian's love for cute humanoid animals with the ability to tear you apart with swords and magic.
It's so obvious.
The article said "the i5-2500K also has hyper-threading,".

Wouldn't it be eerie that one day you overheard some guys chatting in an online X box 360 game and you don't make sense what they're talking about due to the slang...not realizing that they were actually planning your own assassination because you unknowingly pwned/tea-bagged one of them while online several days before in another game.
The Feds poking around might ruffle your privacy a bit but having gangs play with you with the extremely high potential of you st...
Yes.
It's just what I've expected it to be. Singleplayer was just I expected - kinda boring. Multiplayer is where the real action is. Haven't seen anyone doing a lot of base rape like in Bad Company 2. I did see one attempt to steal my team's F18, with me manning the AA station just metres away - didn't end well for him. Some of the maps do feel too constricted but the larger maps are great. The smaller maps have too many corridors and everybody's usin...
One of my local gaming magazine had it the other way around :
PC game reviews goes under the "PC Tavern" section while the console reviews are under the "Console Keep". If my understanding medieval social structure is correct, I think the magazine held consoles higher than the PC. It was evident since the sections were used when the current consoles were starting to storm the gaming industry and there were less and less PC games being released. When I real...
"PC gamers are now stuck with console ports! "
That's the problem (well, part of it anyway).
Some of the PC gamers there have spent time and effort to build their dream machine and all they get are console ports that barely poke at their machine.
Anyone would have been angry to be treated like that.
That's the problem with these simulator guys. They just released a game. Just like that. No noise or big promotion, nada.
While I've been aware and bombarded with bit and pieces of news about Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Batman almost everyday since they were announced.
I once tried GT-R with a Logitech wheel and pedals setup. Scared the hell out of me. I wasn't really interested in racing around a track since I'm more of a rally fan so I lost interest after that.
Seeing that they are really using the power of the PC to the fullest this time, might as well give C.A.R.S. a try. Not to mention of course the lack of true sim quality rally games out there. Colin Mcrae's Dirt series are fun and all but you can't escape the feeling...
I figured out that I can sit for hours in a car during my long road trips so I bought a used one and put it in my bedroom. Built my own "table" big enough for the KBM setup and light enough that can be easily slide around. Got myself a good wireless mouse and a Razer X-Box 360 gamepad too.
So yeah, I'm set for the PC Skyrim. No sofa or bed for me. They give me neck pain for some reason.
I don't complain if I'm uncomfortable playing games...
I see it's a windy map (the first one) with dust being blown about, trees swaying, bits of paper flying.
The mortar's smoke, stays.
I'm a bit confused here :
Is Piranha Games talking about two games (MW5 and MW Online) they are developing for next year or changing directions for the one they've promoted years ago (MW5 into MW Online)?
I've been waiting for MW5 since the promo video came out a couple of years back. Now I see it's being "rebirthed" into an MMO? I have nothing against with MMOs but I have my ass kicked everytime in World of Tanks and I really don...
I was on the fence at the store choosing between the i7 and i5. Money (or the lack of it) talks so I got the i5. One of the best decision ever.
@limewax
Maybe it's due to the 64bit code. I read somewhere that 64bit Windows actually uses less cpu power. The more cpu cores a game uses, the less processing power is assigned per core. Something like that.
I'm always baffled whenever I visited some of the flight simulator forums asking fo...
I don't care it's a month late. I do care if it 6-12 months late like the years before.
If they delayed it for tuning out the graphics, fine. But seeing that most of the things they are upgrading are based on Nvidia cards while I'm an ATI user....so I really don't know what to say.
I'm still going to buy it though.
"Just a refresher, you should know that yesterday, the single-player part of MW3 was leaked in which the origin of the seepage came from an employee working at Fresno, California (distributor) who allegedly stole “one disc”. Likewise, Activision has already hired private investigators for this anomaly and issued a fine of “$5000 + perma ban” in case its pirated copies weren’t returned."

I agree with the light bulb thing. Shot one while fooling around then saw the lens flare still shining.
Haven't played beyond the bridge level yet. Too busy with the multiplayer - the origin of Battlefield and one that everyone should be looking at, not the SP.
Maybe the CoD is much more polished since the very same game over and over again. They only updated the skins, textures and re-arrange stuff around for the SP. Like what a novice modder would do-p...
