"ArmA 3 will be completely Extensible & Moddable"
What I like the most in a game.
I'm quite satisfied with my rig when it comes to Arm 2 but of course, that might change once Arma 3 comes out. Holding off any upgrades since I'm waiting for nvidia's turn to release its next gen card. Not that I'm die hard fan of the green team or something but anything new to challenge the current AMD cards usually means one thing : price cuts for...
I loved the flexibility Steam gave when it comes to storage. God knows how many times I have move the Steam folder around in the last 3 months since I started a major PC upgrade.
As for selling back your old games...isn't Steam offering a service just like that starting last year? Only it involves the digital games that you downloaded from them instead of the traditional physical copies. Don't remember the name of the service since I intend to keep my games...well, ...
I had just a built a PC capable of running Arma 2 "smoothly" and then I heard of Arma 3 is coming. Sigh...
But hey, that's part of being a PC gamer. Let's see how far my self built machine can be push.
Amazing looking vehicles. Futuristic (concept designs for future weapons) but not too futuristic (Halo/Gears of War or any other sci-fi weapons).
I love the PC and id's little stunt (Carmack have been saying the same thing year after year, like a mantra : PC is not their priority - we get it! Doesn't mean he should left us in the cold just like that)hasn't been well received by me. I've seen RAGE on the store shelves and have been tempted to try it out for months but since there have been only silence after the last couple of patches, I guess I'll have to wait a while longer. I really wanted to buy the game but I...
I've tried my Razer Onza with The Witcher 2 and I find it quite good. So why is everybody hyping the hell out of a feature that's already available in the PC version? A shared feature is also available in MOST multiplatform games in this gen?
It is a DX9 only game and the prettiest one at that. It even have the Ubersampling effect that only high end graphic card can use. Imagine that: A DX9 effect that requires an expensive card/multi card system to play properly while my own medium graphic card can play the latest DX11 games superbly (the Ubersampling is inaccessible -grayed out and unclickable-for my card).
Last I heard, yes, CDP did promised that the PC gamers will get the same content and updates as the X Box ...
"Everyone should get to play this awesome game.
"-means sharing the Witcher with every patform.
"I'm hoping this game will sell above expectations and maybe we'll see the Witcher first installment on XBLA and maybe an exclusive deal for a game." - means exclusivity to a particular platform.
So what do everyone wants? We want EVERYONE to experience the same game according their preferred platform but at the same time we want...
More QTEs and cut scenes perhaps. Action usually means shooting, punching or slicing stuff. Dramatic usually means we're spend more time watching amazing things unfold, as opposed to doing them like in a normal action or survival game. Horror means watching those long cut scenes again and again if we fail to press the proper QTE buttons at the correct nano second.
Then you cry.
For some strange reason I replayed Darksiders this whole week. I have a whole list of the latest albeit unfinished game (Cysis 2, BF3, Dead Space 2, Singularity and Batman Arkham City to name a few)and yet I suddenly decided to finish this one first after all these years.
How do Famine and Pestilence will do combat in games anyway? I've always thought THQ will simply ignore them since their ability doesn't really involve chopping people up like War. I also thought tha...
Yeah. It's sad really. I used to enjoy a Battlefield 2 mod where there's only tank on tank action in the desert. It's amazing to see over a dozen tanks pounding each other at close quarters with TOWs zipping around them.
Ah. Frosbite 2's destructibility and 32-64 tanks in a large city. That would be a sight to behold.
@Captain Qwark 9:
"if it sells better on 360 you can almost all but guarantee the game will be primarily a console rpg next time around and ported to the pc later."
One of the reasons why some true PC gamers hate consoles. The PC have given so much and yet treated like thrash afterwards. Console gamers kept asking why can't everyone, console and PC gamers, just be nice to each other regardless of their preferred platform: You comment is an shini...
So some people (mostly console gamers) are saying that Pc gamers' insatiable appetite for better and better graphics is holding back gaming. And that amazing graphic is nothing compared to a good gameplay. To an extent, that's true.
And yet we have Sony and Microsoft are thumping their chest about what eye-melting behemoth their next console will be. How one console will have over 100Gb of RAM while the other hinted the possibility of holographic display. For the past...
@Brownghost - not to mention that there's a high possibiltiy that the X Box 360 gamers have to pay for those DLCs the PC gamers get for free. It something to with the Microsoft license agreement.
I do this whenever I'm with a terrible team but not all the time. Losing isn't fun but losing and giving your enemies free points (BF3) since they have controlled all the chokepoints is even worse than that.
One time I entered a server where my team is already cornered in our own spawn and the enemy have stolen our IFVs. So now we have two IFVs pounding us as we try break out with their snipers and assaults covering the alleyways while mortars rain more death on us. ...
Agreed about Batman. Although I really don't like the way, mostly in RPGs, that everyone seem to know you or specifically know every tiny details of your exploits. For example in Fallout 3, you killed some poor sap in the middle of nowhere with no other humans (as witnesses) for tens of miles and yet somehow everyone knows your little crime even before you reached the nearest settlement. I know it's all about Karma that affects your stats but having the whole devastated region judge y...
@RAOH...hahahaha..you actually dug up that old article. Brought a lot of bad memories (it was the article that made me started to lose my trust on Mircosoft). Can't imagine how pissed I was when M'soft said a sofa is more powerful than my PC.
People are making awesome things with your game and those are just videos. EA/DICE, get a Mod tool out already!
Microsoft doesn't even want to talk about about DX11. or try to push it for further game enhancements.
While Activision will keep using the same old engine for its Call of Duty series even on the next gen system. I'm not even surprised they'll even use a CoD powered by the same engine as a must have launch title to show the power of the PS4/X-Box 720.
Or Sony and Microsoft would be starting to demand Activision to build a new engine already for their next gen consoles.
How long did it take Bethesda to realize that the most PCs have more that 2 gb of RAM? An extremely simple problem that modders rectified within days after Skyrim was launched.
