So far I found two games that can me feel nauseous. The first was Soldier of Fortune. It was one the first game I first encountered when I started gaming and I played it in cyber cafes. When I personally got a copy and brought it home during the holidays. Then I (along with my dad and sisters who gave it a try) started to get nauseous after just several minutes of playing. It was strange since I have no problem playing it at the cyber cafes for months prior.
The second one w...
@Yoda.
Have you asked how PC gamers felt how MS treated them over the years? Even Windows 8 is obviously designed to cater the mobile market and enhanced future X Boxes. They showed only ONE true PC game to show the power of Win 8 - an old Civilization played on a MS tablet. They talk more about integrating the X Box experience into Windows and tablets capable of playing PC games instead of actually supporting PC gaming.
A little bit of both. Or more.
I wonder if the zombies will have kung fu moves. That would make Chinese Zombies much more dangerous than Western zombies. Will they look like the classic Chinese leaping corpses or crouching Western meatbags that can parkour around obstacles?
I do hope no one would get offended and make a fuss about seeing Chinese zombies though.
Makes you wonder why the hell are the developers are complaining about PC versions/SDKs when they offer so much freedom.
Look at The Witcher 2. It's PC game engine but also built with the ability to be able to be ported nicely into the X box 360 while they are probably testing out the PS3 port feasibility right now.
On the other hand, Dark Souls was built with GFWL that was touted to make the transition between the 360 and PC and yet the opposite happene...
Browsing through Steam's Greenlight library, there's a lot of Free-to-play games in there.
More time to enjoy the story instead of worrying about how far your friends/competitors have gone up the ranks in mp.
1. I'm not gonna lie: I love my games to have brilliant graphic. I also like games that are not brilliant graphic wise. I have BF3 with all effects on running on my main gaming PC while my old, beat up Celeron laptop is playing Soul Reaver 1+2 and Battle Realms (Thanks, GoG). Current gen DX11 and ancient DX7 graphic : why choose when I can enjoy both of them?
2. Online...fun a times but can easily become repetitive. Not that important for me personally.

True. I read years ago about how a superior AI system would take a lot of CPU horsepower to make them act believable against human players. I was excited since I thought game makers are really giving their focus on AI since first gen multi-core CPUs from Intel and AMD were coming out. Pushing the boundaries perhaps.
Instead they focused on graphic. When current gen appear, the same thing: graphic first followed by gameplay. Sure, why not let the...
I usually but games a month or more after their launch dates. There are still games that I was still playing. Adding newer games means creating a huge backlog. Another reason is the price drop.
A positive side effect of buying games at a later date is that the initial game breaking glitches will be patched. So I seldom encounter problems like these. A negative side effect is that I will be so far behind in multiplayer but acceptable since I don't play mp very much (to a...
What's going on here? Game Makers Leaving Their Companies Month?
What you said are mostly true. Unfortunately the big companies know stuff that we ordinary folks don't. I mean these people hire psychologists and statisticians to study us and predict what we might or might not want in the future. I was so involved in the fight against always online DRM and thought we had won when we see Ubisoft faltered with their commitment to maintain it. Instead, I see F2Ps (they're basically fully evolved online DRMs) popping out at a faster rate than some onlin...
Same here. I've played only one F2P where I actually bought something and it gave me a XP boost for a week. Upgraded my weapons in no time at all. Made me so powerful and then I felt guilty for taking the evil way out.
In RPGs buying cosmetic items is appropriate since you'll be exploring huge worlds with other players so you want to stand out.
In competitive shooters a powerful weapon/armour (that you can only buy with real money) is more than enough...
Wasn't it hinted (I read it somewhere) that the Doom Guy might be the descendant of the Robo-Hitler killing soldier in Castle Wolfenstein? Might explain his hardiness and superhuman ability.
I don't really enjoy MP3's multiplayer very much so it's weird having to download these files (they are flagged as updates) even though I'm not going to buy/use them anyway. I want to play the singleplayer every now and then, but it won't let me play unless I've updated the game.
Just like Team Fortress 2. It's constantly updating and yet the last time I played online with it was a year ago (I suffered a severe connection problem that doesn't ...
Yes, it is one last plug for being pro-console. Considering that both Sony and MS are trying to find ways to kill the used games trading business for next gen. Why do you think they have been shoving season passes and exclusive bonuses down your console throats all this time?
The author complains about the glitches, constant updates and balancing in shooters. Well, don't tell him about MMOs and F2Ps.
Same here. The only icons that I do have have on the desktops are the My Computer and the Recycle Bin. The only app/widget that I have on there is Rainlendar to help me organize things.
I've seen some of my friends' PCs/laptops and their desktops are full of icons, shortcuts and Office documents.
Personally I used around 10-14 buttons for most of my PC games. The number decreases for console ports and increases with vehicle simulation games. In the end it doesn't matter. If I like a game I would spent hours on it and those button presses will be imprinted into muscle memory. This is helped by the fact that PC controls are extremely customizable. Make the game to play the way you want.
Consoles have always been about less is more...I see the opposite is being imple...
That would mean Sony would have to buy hundreds, probably thousands of $800+ PC to play those games from their servers so that gamers won't have to buy those PCs and instead buy PS4s to stream those games via Gaikai.
Sony would make a glorious looking PC game using the latest PC hardware but release it exclusively for the PS4 via Gaikai streaming. That would be a flame baiting thing to do.
A game console that would give out outstanding graphic at a fracti...
