We need more of those hidden missions/stories. I can't believe I'm saying this but maybe a revival of the World War 2 games to tell them might be a good thing right now.
Activision is using "authenticity" boast for CoDBlops2 since it will be showcasing a lot of drone techs that are being tested now in real life- quite a big boast since there are no certainties that any of the tested drones will be finally implemented. Still, those are nothing compared to obs...
Good for you for knowing his name. Do you know the rest of his classified exploits that are still locked up by the British government? I'm sure if he's an American agent, his details would be on Wikileaks or in a novel by now. We know more abut the dirty deeds the CIA did in the 60s and 70s than Maskelene or other intelligence units did in the 40s.
Same here.
This feels like an episode from American Dad! when the geeky son wants to impress the whole school so he bullied on the docile exchange student who is smaller and weaker than him.
Maybe they (the SEALS or any of the military branch) shouldn't mouth off to the public about whatever secret tactics they were using simply because they still have colleagues who will be using those skills and the last thing they need are enemies who are ready for them. If they talking about an old skill/technique used years ago and well known then maybe it might be okay. The British won't be revealing the files for several more decades on the Magic guy who deceived the Nazi with a lo...
I haven't played any online shooters for two...maybe three months. Last year I played BC2BC mp for a whole year (I only get to play it on weekends) until I finally reached Rank 50 just a week before BF3 is released.
With BF3, I gave up after rank 31 just as new players with Premium stuff started showing.
I really don't want to spend so much time doing the constant grindings online (FPSes or RPGs...you only grind around in the same maps when online). ...
The future? The future is currently being tested in the PC.
We're seeing endless F2P shooters being pumped out every week in the PC and now we're hear social and F2P integration coming out the mouths of those who are making next gen consoles. You can't separate F2P from any new PC shooters nowadays and you will certainly keep hear F2P being in the same paragraph/sentence as the next gen development announcement.
So currently (PC, e.g. Mech Warrio...
We resisted Windows Me...Windows Vista...
I don't mind the tiles or whatever they call the UI now. I'm just uneasy with what MS is going to do with this unification of the different media platforms under Windows 8. I'm worried about the future of PC gaming under Win 8 since MS have a worrying past with PC gaming.
And please don't try to use the "let's give MS some time to prove to PC gamers" excuse. None of the things MS boasted ...
So now that Windows 8 is uniting the next X Box, Surface, Windows PCs and Windows phones....things just gets better and better doesn't it?
This is what Windows 7 supporters are afraid of, not just about some pastel tiles on the desktop or the lack of a Start menu upon startup. It's the direction of MS is heading with these devices. Yes I know there are Win 8 supporters out saying there's no problem with menu and they are right but it's the stuff that we don...
Couch gaming. Valve's Big Picture Mode for its Steam platform and the tiled look of Microsoft's own Windows 8. Both have interface designs for the ease of use on a wide screen HDTV with an X Box controller.
I do believe "couch gaming" won't be a console exclusive in the coming years. It's hardly worthy to be called that in this generation considering I've connected my laptop/desktop to the living room's HDTV and played PC games with a contro...
Yes, they did. I followed their development as closely as possible and it really was such a blow to Bill Gates. He produced an idea about a new way of computing and the rest of the industry, in particular the PC makers, were just too busy to give it any care or support. Memory prices were still high. Intel, MS's biggest partner, was too busy fending the increasingly popular AMD Athlon chips. There was no affordable and reliable source of touch screen panel except those using stylus pens. ...
MS and its floppy hardware...lol.
Wait...I noticed you skipped mentioning the X Box and X box 360. Yeah, MS really should drop those two good for nothing bricks too.
Strategy games have taught me not to quickly say harsh words at the authority for neglecting my place. God knows how many states/regions that I have neglected to develop in Total War series in pursuit to balance out military expenditures and developing the more profitable regions. When I overstretched my economy...I immediately developed these long forgotten regions in hope they'll provide more tax income for my war machine. At least I don't have to go on a political campaign or somet...
As much as I don't want to admit this...my brother bought an X Box 360. His main reason was that he can't afford a decent PC and the console is much more convenient to carry around. Which is kind of strange to say when he's carrying a big CD holder bag full of his 360 games around weekends. He has to pop in the DVDs in and out in order to play any game. There's a hard disk but we all know console gamers hate doing stuff that remind them of the hassles of PCs (e.g installing ga...
I'm really interested with this one all thanks to the futuristic premise. But they better stop with this plausibility and authenticity claims for a fast paced shooter. The lumbering four legged drone is just begging for a dozen hidden soldiers to lob RPGs at its rear. I don't think current military forces would want to deploy such a slow, vulnerable and easy to be seen/heard piece of machinery crawling its way to the battlefield.
So those indie game makers graduated to be high quality studios all thanks to XNA...so why is MS slamming the door on the rest of the pack its new roadmap?
It's not about being entitled to something. It's about restricted opportunity. You are right about earning your place in the eyes of MS but how can you do that when there is no way for you to show your potential? Have a great idea how to implement a Smartglass for the RPG your indie group is developing? Let's s...
XNA was also supposed to help the development between the PC and X-Box to be smoother. Any X box games made with the XNA should be able to be ported to the PC with little hassle and vice versa. Instead we years of X-Box only XNA indie releases and then we see them struggled to get any recognition when MS put the indie market way deep inside obscure menus of the X-box where no one would think of going and made the certification process a hellish experience. This caused a lot of indie companies...
PC gamers have to wait a little bit more for the PC version to be released compared to the console versions. As far I've seen there hasn't been any big outcry over that. There has been a couple of articles mentioning this little detail but most PC gamers simple shrug it off as if it's nothing.
But this silly reaction over a delayed trailer?
Depends on the game and how the developers approach it. So far I'm not liking this free to play since it's a bit dishonest - they always promote their games as free to play but never cared to tell us that they are actually pay to win/to enjoy.
A lot of the F2P games I've played felt so unsatisfying. Get in, blast some monsters/enemies, get out. It's hard to be dedicated to such a simple system.
